This was our first time staying in La Crosse and I definitely picked the right place to stay. The hotel is very nice, and the location is perfect with a wonderful view of the Mississippi River. There are tables and chairs with umbrellas on the patio overlooking the river but unfortunately it was raining the day we stayed. The hotel is located within walking distance to Pearl Street where there are places to get a bite to eat, have a cocktail, do some shopping and get some ice cream!

The only thing I didn't like is that the ice machines are not on all floors.

The room air-conditioning didn't take the humidity out of the air very good. I know it was extremely hot while we were there but the room was "clamy" cold. The outlets on the built in lights on either side of the bed were so loose the plug for my phone charger wouldn't stay plugged in, but overall the motel was very nice and clean and had been updated recently. It also had a nice sized lot for parking.

The tv had about half of the channels that didn’t come in. Only had Netflix as a streaming option. There was a terrible stink right outside the hotel. It was a septic smell. Maybe because of some construction. Thankfully it didn’t come in the room!

I enjoyed drinking my Starbucks coffee, provided by the bisto in the hotel, on the courtyard patio while watching the boats on the Mississippi River. The darkening curtains in the room made it easy to sleep until 8:30 and did not hear people in the next room or above us even though on first floor. It alsio had a pool and hot tub even though it said no pool when I booked the room.

I love the location. We had a wonderful river view. Enjoyed watching the river even during the winter. We enjoyed an amazing meal at The Freighthouse. Amazing food, amazing view and a comfortable room to relax in. The staff was very polite and helpful. Enjoyed our stay.

I would have liked a bigger garbage or one more garbage .

The room was not well designed - very large space for bedroom - pokey sink area with nowhere to store toiletries.

Everyone smiled, especially the cleaning staff, which I found impactful as I'm not used to that and it made me smile in return.

There wasn't much room for the roller bed. I had a Queen Suite, and thought there'd be a sofa bed in it.

Walking distance to restaurants and along the river. Had an outdoor patio on the river!

Room was fine for a one night stay. It seemed small.

Beautiful views of the river and bridge. Nice little café downstairs. Free parking.

Too bad you can’t open the windows.
