We didn't expect to have such a lovely, large, luxurious suite. We were in the main house, in a room facing the lake. The room was exceptionally comfortable. Before dinner, I took a kayak out (free! and life jackets provided, although I had my own), which was relaxing and lovely (Lake Como didn't seem to have as much boat traffic as Lake Geneva, but I don't have other experiences.) Bed was comfortable, with soft linens, a variety of pillows, and multiple different coverlets. The flip-on fireplace was unexpected and cozy. We didn't use the jetted tub, but it was a nice touch. We had an online meeting with someone using my laptop and the wifi was pretty good. The private deck over the lake was absolutely gorgeous and we enjoyed watching the sun go down. Continental breakfast exceeded our expectations. Staff was helpful and friendly, especially Noah who checked us in. We had a drink on the terrace and then dinner inside the restaurant, which was tasty and reasonably priced (wedge and very good seafood soup for me, chicken alfredo for my partner). Fridge and coffeemaker in room, although we didn't use either. Complimentary bottled water was nice, since we weren't excited about the taste of the water. Didn't use the pool, but it seemed clean and well-maintained. Good parking. Well-marked and easy to find. 6 minute drive into downtown Lake Geneva. Overall absolutely perfect stay - we will be back and will recommend highly to others.

LOVED the history explanations around the place. Only confusion was that nothing was "French Country" about this inn (which used to be called the Lake Como Inn I think)? Although it didn't make any difference in our happiness! I definitely would have been even more excited if we had known about all the ties between the World's Fair and Chicago's mafia connections! I also regret not buying one of the cozy murder mystery books on display in the lobby... next time!

Everyone was very friendly and accommodating, from the checkin, to the restaurant and bar, and the free breakfast offered on our last day. Location on the lake is the main reason to stay here and if you're into history, this was a place where bank robber John Dillinger would stay, under an alias I'm going to assume. Nice restaurant with a full menu again on the lake and there is a pool as well. Sandy beaches. Rooms are a little dated and the AC and heater units are noisy. Nice king bed and a whirlpool tub plus a stand up shower. Lovely old school lobby.

The room needed to be refreshed with a paint job.

Super friendly, beautifully located, cozy room, gorgeous lake view from room and our deck. We were a little to early in the season to use the pool or play in the lake but i can imagine how great that would be from the Inn's docks. We had a great time exploring in Lake Geneva, and loved returning to the quiet and peace of Como. Thank you!

Planned renovations will fix the sticking door to our deck. Truly though our experience was way beyond our expectations. Fantastic place to be for a few days!!!

Wonderful staff. They were so accommodating. Always polite. Monday evening entertainment was so fun! Food at the restaurant was excellent. Pool was excellent, clean!! Deck was fun to watch sunset. Repeating.....the staff was definitely in the customer service mode. Best in the area!!

Room slightly smelled, but went away after starting up the air conditioner. Nothing we reported, as it worked out fine. We did notice they are updating the rooms. We were in an older room. If anyone has renovated in their own homes, you know the cost of something like that. They are making big efforts to make this a great place away from the craziness of the town of Lake Geneva. I'm certain they will be difficult to book in the future!

Location is beautiful and inn is quaint. When there was an issue staff worked hard to resolve. The bed leg was broken and on a slant. When it couldn't be fixed they offered the room next door as well so we could have two individual beds that were not broken. The porch is nice.

A bit dated, can tell there is a long list of updates needed - rugs, bathrooms, etc. once we turned the fireplace off we couldn't turn it back on. The free breakfast is misleading as it is a voucher for $10 at restaurants... but only a couple of items cost that (everything else is more) and with fees it never would be included. Food good- but misleading claim.

The breakfast is not available from Monday-Thursday, except for some pastries/toast in the lobby. Not a problem for us, but it should be mentioned in the ad which says "breakfast." It was also raining so a beautiful outside area was not usable for sitting and eating it outside. Also, there is a renovated and un-renovated area. We were in a really nice renovated room, though I don't know how the older area would be.

We actually loved this place. Location was amazing literally right on the lake. Our suite had it's on balcony looking over the lake. In the summer months it could be loud but it was a perfect Fall getaway. It actually surprised us on how good it was! Bed was cozy, room was large.

October travels mean chillier nights. We were looking forward to using the fireplace, but on our visit, the fireplace was not working. That was disappointing & made for a chilly sleep....but that's small & not a game changer

Breakfast was good, lots of choice and well cooked though not free as anticipated. You were given a $10 voucher towards food in the restaurant so it didn't cover everything.

In the room a glass and china cups would have been appreciated, plastic cups were disappointing in an establishment of this type. Also the bed needed a headboard or more cushions should have been provided. We stayed 4 nights and there was no housekeeping, we had to ask for clean towels.

The beauty of the Inn when we first walked in, the feel, the History, our views were breath-taking, coffee in the morning out on our private balcony was just WOW, how knowledgeable the staff are, Eric was truly wonderful and Noah was very pleasant, helpful, beyond friendly and omgosh both men had a smile of pride on their faces, are room was to die for, The dillinger suite.. WE definitely will be coming back and booking this suite only... A piece of heaven ✨️

Eric, the General Manager was Exceptional! He was friendly, enthusiastic, showing a love for his work, accommodating with individual requests, and was soo hardcworking. Amazing! Thank You Eric for making our stay Wonderful! The kitchen stay were very warm and helpful as well. The Getaway Restaurant was excellent. One of the best filet with mushroom dinners ever..As was the salmon with a delicious sauce with capers.
