Absolutely loved the location, total beachfront and had the beach to ourselves the entire weekend. We could see the fire show from the deck, it was a very short walk along the beach. The breakfast was lovely, it was noted as continental however we had the best home made warm banana bread I've ever had and smashed avocado on toast (both of which aren't usually part of a continental menu). Complimentary orange juice on arrival. Enjoyed the complimentary kayaks and petting the iguanas and feeding them daily. The apartment had everything a family with young children would need. Internet worked well. The staff were so kind, welcoming and accommodating to anything we needed. We took our own snorkel and mask from Kmart and left them behind for a family of locals (so cheap for us but expensive for them to buy on the island). The morning coffee was lovely, no complaints. Pool was perfect, ocean was absolute bliss (Mid May Travel). Hot tips: - Take your own sachet coffee if you are fussy, they have pod machines that take espressotoria pods you can get these from woolies coles or aldi (double check). - If you have kids, take one checked bag full of snacks because the shops are expensive and there isnt anything accessible after dinner time. We took an entire bag and a half full of chips, crumpets, long life milk, bottled water, biscuits, 2min noodles, tuna, crackers, chocolate etc etc just everything we would usually snack on. Kids eat 24/7! - Highly recommend Reefers fish burger - 10/10 + the fried banana for desert was really nice! sub out the ice cream for cream if you can (ice cream is icy). Pikanini bar for the tropical mixed fruit smoothie - yum. Port Villa Co for the X burger and fries 10/10. - Hire car from Europcar was cheapest - $480AUD for Fri to Mon, expensive but for us worth it. - Island Time Cafe in Port Vila for delicious Nem - YUMMM like a spring roll on steroids in my opinion. Really yummy.

It could do with a deep clean to Aussie bond clean standards but honestly it wasn't enough to bother us. The morning smoothies were average, quite bland, ordered once would definitely choose the banana bread again and again.

The location is brilliant, directly onto the peaceful waters of Mele beach with the Beach Bar entertainment and Hideaway Island snorkeling only minutes walk away. The staff are friendly and helpful. The bar and food menu was simple but very nicely prepared and presented. Facilities for self- catering were good. The internet was excellent The availability of a driver made getting around to town and tourist places very easy. Having access to fresh rainwater instead of using plastic bottles was great.

The housekeeping was a bit slap-dash at times and the one room suites were not as well equipped for self-catering as the two bedroom ones. A lot of the towels need replacing.

The Staff were so welcoming, kind & accommodating. I believe it was the owner who helped point us towards things to do while we were there, which was really helpful. It has a great range of ammenities and the rooms/apartments were lovely. Also a great location! RIGHT on the mele beach - 2min walk from the popular beach bar & a short boat ride to hideaway island! and I loved being greeted by the local doggos on walks along the beach. It’s also far enough from Port Villa’s centre to get that relaxing beach vibe but still close (maybe 10-15mins drive.)

bathroom could’ve been a bit cleaner but overall was acceptable

Great little spit on the ocean front with a lovely clean pool & beach chairs. We could prepare meals in our room, eat at the restaurant, or walk to a couple of other places to eat, including the Beach Bar with its fire show, movie night, & circus night. There were kayaks, stand up paddle boards & life jackets to use. If you want to buy groceries they’ll take you to town for a fee, or you can take a bus to town, or there are a few basic groceries nearby. We stayed 9 nights & really enjoyed it. It grew on us more the longer we stayed.

We stayed in Apartment 2. From our experience, the condition of the apartment was good. Other guests had previously left reviews indicating the beds had threadbare sheets and had experienced noise from the car park after hours - this did not reflect our experience. The beds are absolutely fine and very comfortable. When we stayed (Wednesday to Sunday) it was very quiet after hours. When our flight was pushed back until late in the evening, the manager allowed a very late check out at no additional charge.

There were a few discrepancies with our food & drinks tab - but this was sorted out without any fuss.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day for me and my family. The fact that we are greeted by genuine smiles in the morning just to take our first coffee order is amazing. The location is perfect for our need. The penthouse is highly recommended. The view is class. Waking up to the local children conversing as they stroll by on their way to school takes us back in time.

I cannot think of anything. The only reason I didn't give a "very happy" emoji to the facility aspect was due to the water system. We experienced water outage a couple of times during our stay but it was always addressed professionally by the amazing local staff.

Our apartment over exceeded our family expectations for a vacation, if you're looking for a place out of town, yet close to the convenience of things (shops, markets, water, sea, beaches, pools, kava bars) THIS is the SPOT!! The staff were very efficient and professional, the place is always well kept and clean. Love the daily breakfast, and the serenity of the location. Would highly recommend this place for families and anyone that just needs to get away for a relaxing, stress free place.

The roads, but that was expected :-)

This was the best choice we could have made. We were so happy with this wonderful accommodation on a number of levels. We had the top apartment for our large family and felt so at home. The beds were comfortable, and we had more than enough space. Waking up to the gentle sound of the waves on the beach was amazing. Secondly the owners and staff are such lovely and helpful people. Nothing was a problem, and we quickly felt like part of the family. All of their staff are employed from the local village, and we had the privilege to get to meet some of their families and children. We also had a personal tour around the village to see village life, which was very special, especially for our kids. The owners put on a bbq for all the guests on New Years Eve and surprised us with a very special treat on our last night. Thirdly, the location was awesome. The apartments are right on the beach, and every night is a beautiful sunset. The locals all come to the beach to swim, and relax, and this made us feel like we were part of the local community. Just next door is the beach bar with the fire show on Friday nights, and the hideaway island is just a few hundred meters away. It's only a short trip back into town if you need some groceries or a night out, but most of things we went to were not in Port Vila so that is not an issue. Plenty of 'buses' going day and night to get you around.

Having to leave and go home after 10 days 😪

Meals were excellent and really good value for money. Coffee was delicious - local roasted beans gave a wonderful flavour and aroma- however Vanuatu only have UHT milk as no local milk industry. Location was perfect as they have a beautiful beach and free kayaks to paddle out into the bay. A short stroll down the beach brings you to larger restaurant and bar which has local entertainment but to be honest the meals were better at Beachfront Apartments. The staff were very friendly, answered all queries and organised transport when required. We had a party of 7 and all had a very enjoyable first trip to Vanuatu.

Apartment was great value for money but had a couple of quirks. One of the beds was a little hard and one of the rooms only had a fan and no aircon. The end room didn't appear to have hot water but we never investigated this with Management as the occupants were more than happy with a cool shower. Wifi was a little temperamental but not an issue as someone in our group was always able to connect. Booking.com suggested 50% deposit would be paid in advance, however we paid in full at property when we checked out. NZ Dollar indicative price was slightly different due to change in exchange rate from time of booking to time of vacation - of course this could work in your favour.

Perfect location right on the beach, protected from the wind. Just a short tinny ride to Hideaway Island. Yummy home baked bread. Crystal clear pool with great outdoor settings for meals, drinks & watching the sunset. Very helpful staff & driver.
