The stay was amazing. We stayed there for 2 nights, and the service caught me dumbfounded. The amount of patience and care can't be found in any other stay in Tam Coc. The people who manage the stay are extremely kind. There is Nam, who is an extremely kind-hearted lady and her uncle who can't be defined in words. His actions were really wholesome. From teaching us simple vietnamese to helping us in late night, he truly showcased the meaning of care They also assisted us by giving us an itenary in Nim Bhin, by booking us a pleasant limousine to Hanoi and with easy and cheap renting of motorbikes, They have their own bikes for rent, and it costs 100.000 VND per day. If you want to really feel like home, then this is the stay for you. With welcoming hosts, a tasty breakfast, and a large pool, it has everything you need for the perfect stay in Tam Coc. I highly recommend this as I want everyone coming to Tam Coc to have the same phenomenal experience as I did.

We loved our stay at Ruby Homestay. Nam & her uncle gave us such a lovely welcome and were there to help us at all times during our stay. The accommodation is located on a quiet lane overlooking the lake, is lovely & quiet, but a short walk to all the bars & restaurants. Room was big & bed was comfy. Air con cooled the room nicely when needed. The pool area is good & we enjoyed getting drinks from the adjoining cafe-bar. We used the laundry service which was cheap & efficient and although we didn't hire the bikes they looked in good condition. Breakfast was so good. There are only a few options but they give you lots of food & it is great value.

The rooms need some maintenance, a deep clean in some areas and a few new items. All the positives make this place special but the rooms need to be the next area to get some attention.

As soon as we arrived from Hanoi, I knew I wanted to stay longer so added an extra night. The set up, space, decor, water view on one side, mountain behind, cosy bungalows, entertaining area and swimming pool in the middle. It’s such a cute, cosy place to stay. The location is perfect. Breakfast is good and everyone is so welcoming. You can hire scooters or bikes and explore or Nam can organise one of the many tours on offer. We loved this place very much.

We arrived at Ruby Homestay after a stay in busy Hanoi, and it was exactly what we needed—peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. There were only a few other guests, so the atmosphere was calm and very personal. The staff were incredibly helpful from the start. They gave us suggestions on what to do in the area and organized a couple of great tours for us: an evening jeep ride and a full-day excursion with a knowledgeable guide who shared stories about local history, Buddhism, and more. Breakfast at the homestay was simple but delicious and filling. There’s also an on-site café/bar and a swimming pool, which added to the relaxing vibe. Our bungalow-style room exceeded expectations—it was clean, spacious, and had the biggest bed we’ve ever slept in! It felt cozy yet luxurious. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great service, a peaceful setting, and a beautiful place to unwind.

I was apprehensive of the reviews hyping up Mr. Ruby and the breakfast shakshuka - suffice to say the reviews are absolutely correct. This homestay is an absolute gem, and would stay no where else in Tam Coc. The owners are super caring, and were super accommodating at helping us plan tours and what to do in the area. Also helped us arrange transport to Hue, with a personal ride from Mr. Ruby on the back of his bike to the transport stop. Loved to make conversation with the owners. There is nowhere else like this is Tam Coc. Ruby told us people are booking his homestay up to 10 months out, and can absolutely see why. An absolute must stay.

The host family is extremely friendly, attentive and helpful. The breakfast was abundant, delicious and filling. The rooms were clean, tidy and comfortable. The mattress was very comfortable and the AC was powerful but working quietly. WiFi was fast and reliable. The homestay is perfectly located with "city center" within walking distance, but quite and relaxed during night time. Scooter rental was good and affordable.

The pool was very dirty and needs a thorough cleaning. We didn't use it therefore. Laundry service prices was above the local average.

A wonderful stay with great value! The location offers reliable internet access and is in an excellent data area for Viettel and Vinaphone SIM cards. The hotel is easy to find, very clean, and professionally maintained, with a lovely pool. They offer laundry service and excellent bike rentals at very affordable prices. The owner is so accommodating, super helpful and attentive, If you’re on a budget, this is the perfect choice. They also offer scooter rental which was such fun and enabled us to get about and see the area.

lovely area, lovely owners! so helpful and nice, while he didn’t speak much english he was very determined with the google translate and helped us learn a bit of vietnamese. seemed like a family business which was nice, and he stayed up till 4 am so we could arrive after our night bus. bed/mat to sleep on in reception of early check in isn’t available for your room. Incredible breakfast spread!!! coffee, juice, fruit, bread, vegetables and the option of either eggs, shakshouka eggs or pancakes :)) he was so sweet and was very friendly

The homestay is 200meters from Tam Coc center, surrounded by cafes and restaurants, 400 meters from the Bear Laundry which can be essential when you catch the rainy days here. The family can arrange you anything, we rented motorbike from them. The owner is a really nice guy with a great smile snd laugh, and he is the master of google translate communication:).

Terrace chairs could be a little more comfortable but it is just my addiction to have a nice relax on your terrace. Plus one note: since the bathroom wall is completely transparent with some curtain you should share the room with a person where this is not a problem:)

Ruby the owner will do all that it takes to make you happy and satisfied. He is always welcoming you with his smile. The rooms were just what we expected - not too fancy but completely enough for what we needed. The AC worked perfectly. We stayed in the homestay during a local holiday and the whole Tam Coc was full, which caused frequent electricity falling. Every time it happened, Ruby ran straight to his generator and you hardly felt that something happened.
