At this price, everything was perfect. The facilities include the pool, fridge, kettle, fan and hair dryer. You can rent very good quality bicycles for less than $2 USD per day. The breakfast is great, with vegan options. The room is a good size, with garden/pool view and lovely local art on the walls. Wonderful location, just a stone's throw from the centre, but very quiet. One of the best things about Thanh Dat is the owners, who are so kind, helpful and friendly. They gave me loganberries from their lovely poolside garden, and arranged very reasonably priced transport to the train station. This is the third time I've stayed here. I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

There's no free drinking water.

The staff here went above and beyond to provide the best service we have had so far in Asia. Our room was lovely and clean with great aircon, a comfortable bed and water supplied for the fridge. The WiFi was really strong. The free breakfast was delicious and huge! Our scooter rental was very easy and affordable. They even let us borrow towels and the bathroom to shower before our late night bus. They provided a laundry service too, our clothes came back just hours later, freshly washed and very clean. Highly recommend this Homestay!!!

Could add a few proper sun loungers.

Great location. Very clean. Lovely atmosphere, really chill vibes and comfortable rooms. Quiet but close to the main square. All in all, perfect. Owners are particularly amazing. I was sick during my stay and they went above and beyond to help me. They even called a doctor to my room to help. Thanh brought me to the hospital and helped with the translation with the doctors! I couldn’t thank him enough for his hospitality and care. All in all, would 100% recommend people stay here. Location is perfect, owners are amazing, it is very clean and quiet. 10/10.

The owners were so nice and super helpful! Such great value for money with the breakfast included. The breakfast has lots of options and big portions. They keep the place very neat and tidy! Location is great and the hosts so helpful for renting bikes and booking onwards travel. Beside the lake so easy to walk to lots of nearby restaurants but very quiet in the rooms. The beds were soft!! A rare find sometimes. The Aircon also worked as a heater which was great on the colder days!

There was some confusion as when we went to check out the woman told us it was cold and could keep the room and leave our bags in our room until our sleeper bus at 8pm which they had booked for us. However when we went to leave for the day her partner said it would be 300k for a late check out! This was more than we’d paid for our nights stay. Very easily could have been charged for an extra day when we weren’t even there! Hopefully just a mix up but good to know late check out is an option!

Lovely family that hosted us! They were absolutely nice and welcoming. We really felt at home! The beds were big and comfortable and the room was very clean and equipped to feel at home :) the location is right on the river and a few minutes walk from the center. They also rent motorbikes and so laundry. We had a great time

I would only comment about the moldy smell we’ve had during the stay which was a bit uncomfortable, I think coming from the AC. And i would not recommend the breakfast because it was very simple and not the best unfortunately(sorry!)

The family that runs this homestay are incredibly hospitable and friendly. This is our second time staying here in 2 years and we would come back. Every time they elevate the experience and always make us feel so comfortable. It is in such a relaxing, quiet location that is within walking distance of many shops and restaurants but far enough away for some quiet. The pool is really nice for a hot day and the beds and rooms are very comfortable with good air-conditioning and fans. Breakfast was always tasty and enjoyable.

this has been easily the best place we have stayed at during our trip. the service is truely exceptional, family run homestay and they are all so friendly. had a mishap on a motorbike in town and when i returned all bandaged up i was given free fruit, water, and food. the level of care is bar none. Such a relaxing location with boardwalk right outside and 2 minute walk from main strip of shops. sitting outside they have offered us green tea on plenty of occasions. #live photo. ❤️

we thought hard and could not come up with a single thing we disliked about this place.

I highly recommend this place! It's close to everything in the city, with spacious rooms, a comfortable, big bed, and private individual bungalows. Bikes and scooters are available at a reasonable price. The staff is incredibly attentive and friendly—they helped me with bookings, activity planning, and even rearranged my transfer to another city late at night at the last minute. In the morning, they prepared my breakfast earlier so I wouldn’t leave without it. Thank you for everything!

We really loved our stay here. We couldn’t find any faults to the place and the owners were lovely and so helpful. Not only it is cheaper than most similar properties, but the attention the owners paid to maintaining the place neat and clean is unmatched. The rooms are spacious and well stoked with space for depositing luggage, hanging clothes etc. The pool was great, clean, the garden is wonderful, full of plants and very well looked after. Lastly, the location is excellent - on a very quiet street by the lake, yet only a 3 minutes walk from the touristic centre of the town.

Absolutely no faults. Don’t think twice before booking, they could charge double what they do and I would still go!

Tam Coc and Thanh Dat Homestay felt like a small peaceful paradise with a pool and palm trees next to the city lake and in the middle of such stunning natural wonders as the Mua Caves and Viewpoint and Trang An. Both of which are located just a few minutes ride away on a scooter (5 and 10min respectively). The property itself couldn’t be nicer, our room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was delicious. Our hosting family very sweet, attentive and helpful. We arranged for a scooter and also the night bus to Hue with them. Laundry is optionally available. Despite the vast choice of accommodation options, Tam Coc Thanh Dat Homestay is a true gem and felt like a treat on our (so far) 6 months trip across South East Asia. Highly recommended.
