Really loved my stay at Lavender Homestay. I was made to feel so welcome by Nam even though I arrived early. Offered tea and fruit and told me that I could check in early which was very much appreciated. Nam really made me feel part of the family and helped me book on a really good tour of Ninh Binh as well as offering to help with onward travel. The homestay also offers bicycle and scooter rental which is great way to see the area. Really great location by the main lake and in the same location as Ruby homestay which is run by the same family it seems. Excellent cafe on site that do great banh mi coffee smoothies and cocktails. Great free breakfast - choice of 3 options. Fairly chilled vibe but the social aspect of the cafe makes it easy to meet other people. Mixture of chill traveler’s and families. Superb homestay wish I could have stayed longer!!!

Everything was great no negatives

From the warm welcome with a cold drink and fruit, earlier check-in to the impeccably maintained rooms: it was terrific! The guesthouse is run with another one(the ruby) and the cozy cafe together. The family is really friendly and looking out for their guests - even if you are not booking anything from them. 😉The outside area around the big pool is spacious and super tasteful/ modern decorated. The drinks are affordable. It is very quiet and you have a nice view on the lake. Breakfast comes with fresh fruit, a drink and a another dish at choice (eggs/pancake shakshuka). Plenty for us. You can rent bikes/scooters. The location is supercentral. On departure day we were allowed to use the premises (pool/shower/toilets) until evening. We would return in a heartbeat.

Incredible experience! Nam was very supportive with anything we needed. The rooms were super clean, the breakfast very delicious with nice views over the lake and the hospitality just outstanding. Nam supported us to book a last minute nigut bus and even helped us to retrieve the shoes a friend of mine left in the restaurant next to the homestay and sent them to our hotel in hoi an. Thank you so much for your support, kindness and hospitality, we would definitely stay here again!

Nothing, everything was just perfect!

The hosts actually deserve a 11/10 for their warm and friendly hospitality! I am a host myself and I learnt a lot from these genuinely caring hosts. We arrived late in the evening after a long delayed bus ride and shivering in cold. The host greeted us and checked us in the room literally in seconds and switched on the Heater to warm us up. Then while we were settling in he quickly brought us ginger tea and bananas to welcome us. Exactly what we needed. The room is very spacious, comfortable, with creative designs, comfortable bed and pillows, beautiful bed spreads, tea facilities, good wifi and clean bathroom and no problems with hot water. Outside is a beautiful natural garden atmosphere, pool overlooking the limestone mountain views. The breakfast restaurant is tucked away beside the mountain. Freshly made pancakes upon order, ginger tea, coffee, etc. The hospitality of the genuinely caring and smiling husband and wife team outweighs everything else!

Should have stayed in this loving family homestay for longer!

The location was fantastic. The room was huge as well as the bathroom. Nice garden with a clean pool. The owners of the property where kind and none intrusive. The breakfast was more than enough! It's a great place for couples and families.

Hmm, I liked everthing because this time round visiting Ninah Binah I was accompanied by my husband. If I was travelling alone this place would possibly not be for myself, I would need some interaction because the couple that run this property can not speak a word of English and allot of the visitors where from South East Asia who also didn't speak in English. The couple that run the place are absolutely lovely being a tourist in Vietnam I don't expect them to speak in English...

The owners were so welcoming, helpful and happy! The pool was absolutely lovely and perfect to jump in after a day trip on the rental bicycles. We also enjoyed the breakfasts and fruit. It's been one of our favourite stays in all of Vietnam.

We recommend you bring insect repellent, being so close to the river there are some flies.

Lavendar homestay is right in the middle of tam coc, is next to a beautiful lake, the property has laundry, bicycles and motor bikes to rent for a very reasonable price, and the hosts are lovely and very accomodating and always great you with a smile, and friendly hello, highly recommended.

Very friendly and kind owner, breakfast is very good with multiple selection as well the pool was clean for kids to enjoy. Surrounded by walking distance good restaurants and massage shop it was good to enjoy. You should stay to feel warm hearted owners treat you very well with smile

The best staying during our journey in Vietnam. The owners could not have been more friendly and helpful. On our evening arrival, they welcomed us with ginger tea and bananas. We appreciate it so much ... The included breakfast was great. We rent a motorbike at a very good price. Highly recommend the homestay.

We stayed just for one day. Next time we will stay for a few days more.

Very kind family! They prepared breakfast and dinner for us during the Tét holiday days. Be prepared for rice, bear and meat for breakfast if you come during Tet. They are always happy and friendly, rarely speak English but google translate works. Clean and tidy room.

We missed some coffee and tea but were overall glad about the hospitality.
