It truly was charming! In a lovely location. We had the room with the circle window and it was very nice. Bed was a little hard but not too bad! Room was fitted with air conditioning and fans. Bathroom was lovely and clean. The pool was a great addition to our stay. Nice to have a dip in the evening. Staff were very accommodating, we believed the family lived there. They were so attentive, let us check in early after our bus arrived at 5am! Although an extra charge, it wasn’t as much as an extra night. We had free breakfast, with a free mango smoothie. We hired the bicycles they had there, although a little dated, they were fine for a few hours. They also had the option to hire a moped. Staff showed us a map of the area and told us where we could go and what to do etc. The property had 2 beautiful dogs, which made it so worth staying! Such a lovely place and would highly recommend. Although a little rough around the edges, it was very quaint and different. Throughly enjoyed our stay.

Nothing really we didn’t like. All was very good. If I was to be picky, our sink didn’t drain properly and there were only 3 sun loungers, yet there were 4 of us. But this was no issue as we were out most of the day anyway.

We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Our room was comfortable with a very large double bed, daily fresh towels and water. The owners were very accommodating checking us in at 4am. On our day of check out, our bus wasn’t leaving until 7pm and we were allowed to use facilities all day including the pool and shower and towels, and on leaving the owners even gave us some water and snacks which was lovely! They really look after you here, and we really enjoyed our time. The location isn’t directly in town, however it’s great to be able to rent bicycles from the hotel directly. We would definitely return in the future should we be back in Tam Coc.

The rooms are so big and spacious and the staff are super friendly. Perfect location in Tam Coc to explore and the property rents out bicycles and scooters for a good price, free breakfast was nice and the host even gave us a takeout one without us asking as we had an early morning bus to cat ba

The inconsiderate neighbour likes to blast music at random points throughout the day at a volume which vibrates the room, along with his tone deaf singing. Isn’t the hotels fault and didn’t go on too late but does ruin the peace of the place a bit

Very kind and thoughtful people - they were so helpful and smiling! We loved the pineapple on arrival and the bus-snacks when we left. The pool right outside the window was amazing for the kids. Scooters were great to visit the sights of Ninh Binh - Mua Caves, Trang An and the city were close by scooter. Good restaurants nearby. Delicious breakfast including fresh fruit juice every morning, and good lunch/dinner available too - they made everything fresh exactly as we wanted it. We caught a late bus and they kindly let us use the pool and spend the afternoon there before the bus.

David and family were so warm, resourceful and kind. The food there was just amazing, we stopped looking around for restaurants and stuck to eating all our meals at this stay because they were worth it! I requested for pickup from ha noi at the last moment and David immediately helped me arrange everything. I love how reliable they are. The stay might not be at a walkable distance to all the tourist attractions but we can rent a bicycle or non geared two wheelers to travel around at the stay. Spas and grocery shops are all at a walkable distance. Before we left, they provided a small care kit with snacks and water bottles which I found thoughtful and sweet. Just shows how kind David and his family are.

We loved the size and space we had in our stay. David and his family made us feel so so welcome, going above and beyond!! Bikes and motorbikes were available for rental which made it much easier to get around Tam Coc. He assisted us with bus transfers and tours around Ninh Binh, and very kindly gave us a superb rate when the storm disrupted our bus plans to leave. He prepared snack packs for our bus journey from Tam Coc and raced to the bus to give me my AirPods that I had left in the hotel after check out 🥹 The included breakfast was also always nice. Would recommend David’s place to anybody!!

Very little! Location was quiet and serene but it did mean we were a 20 minute walk to Tam Coc to access restaurants/cafes… but with the bikes to rent it made it much easier!

We liked this hotel so much we stayed for 6 nights instead of 3. Breakfast us lovely. The restaurant food is good and reasonably priced. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The lady who runs the hotel is so friendly and helpful, she even gave us a little bag of water and snacks for our journey to the airport. This hotel is great value for money and I highly recommend.

Not a dislike but just a warning that the hotel is a 25 min walk from Tam Coc centre and it was a 7km bike ride to the Trang An boat location. We got taxi's to and from Tam Coc for around 30k dong and we hired bikes one day for 50k per bike to explore and do the Trang An boat trip. It is a peaceful location so don't let it put you off.

I had a wonderful experience at this place! The facilities were clean and well-maintained. The location is great, making it easy to explore the area. The hosts were incredibly friendly, kind, and helpful. They went above and beyond by providing us with free fruit snacks multiple times a day, which was very generous of them. I highly recommend this place!

One suggestion that could enhance the experience even further would be to consider providing bigger towels. Larger towels would add an extra touch of comfort and convenience for guests. Overall, the attention to detail and care shown during our visit made it a memorable experience! Thank you for everything!

We had such an amazing time staying here, the owners are such lovely people and could not do enough for you- they sorted busses, washing, gave us towels & food after we had checked out plus a bag of snacks for our overnight bus! The breakfast included was great. The room was spacious and the beds some of the comfiest we have stayed in. 20 minute walk to Tam Coc lake to do a boat tour or get a nice meal. Definitely recommend!

Could perhaps just do with some kind of heating in the room, but a very minor thing.

What a find this property was. Lovely room more than enough space for a family of 4 in 2 big beds. Swimming pool was clean and refreshing. The host was really lovely and as soon as we got there she was helping us how to navigate the town and see the sights with a map that she wrote down distances and time to get there. We hired 2 mopeds from the property. The breakfast that we had whilst there was lovely. We stayed for two nights and were able to use the facilities on the third day as we waited for our night bus to collect us which she also arranged for us.
