The location was remote however, still close enough and easy to get to Tam Coc, Trang An, Hoa Lau etc. We rented a scooter for 200k a day and managed to get around everywhere. The staff and team are lovely and very helpful. The grounds keeper and cleaner are also very friendly and everyone says hello. The hotel offers 2 little kittens which is just a nice touch to our stay. Our room was large and spacious, our bed was very big and comfortable. Bathroom was also clean and spacious.

The drain had a smell but I believe that might be due to infrastructure rather than the hotel itself. During the night, you can hear the trucks but it didnt bother us too much - we were able to sleep through it.

Coco Island Villa & Hotel Ninh Bình is absolutly amazing. Pictures shown on here reflect the reality. The facility is very nice and clean. The staff is courteous and helpful. The sights around Ninh binh are all very close and you can even use the free bikes to get around. During our stay there was a typhoon and we had issues with our further travels. The manager himself went above and beyond to help us organize our new itinerary. Overall I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. Thank to the entire team for making us feel comfortable and welcomed.

The hotel is located in a peaceful area away from the city's hustle and bustle, yet within easy reach of the old town, city center, and major landmarks. It is set in a stunning tropical garden, with a breathtaking pool at its heart. The rooms are exceptionally spacious, beautifully furnished, elegant, and filled with natural light. The bed is extremely comfortable, and there is a small terrace surrounded by greenery. The breakfast is excellent—very diverse, offering a wide selection of both Asian and European dishes, along with plenty of fresh fruit. Absolutely first-class reception staff—professional and friendly at the same time, very helpful and willing. And best egg-coffee in Vietnam :-) I absolutely recommend it. If I ever visit Vietnam again, I will definitely come back.

We didn't find a single mistake.

The hotel itself is very nice, a lovely oasis with large,comfortable, clean rooms and the staff are sweet and helpful. The rooms have beautiful baths but sadly there is insufficient hot water to fill them (make sure you leave your hot water heater switched on) but the showers are good instead. Breakfast is ok with lots of local offerings plus eggs/omelette/pancakes but the coffee is the worst I have had in Vietnam (or anywhere probably). The food in the restaurant was pretty good but it was very quiet so for something livelier, head into Tam Coc. Grab (taxi) can take a while to come to the hotel but loads available in Tam Coc to get back.

Although the hotel and grounds are lovely, the location is a bit remote and unattractive and we didn’t feel safe using the bicycles or walking along the road so relied on Grab to get us everywhere. As the hotel is close to main roads and the train line it is quite noisy, especially at night as trains and trucks hoot very frequently. The staff will provide earplugs if you haven’t bought your own. The downstairs rooms are a bit quieter as they are shielded by the other buildings.

The location is a little odd, as the driver left us on the side of the road and we had to cross a bridge to get to the hotel. But once there the hotel is lovely. It has a very relaxing atmosphere and the staff were very welcoming. We were celebrating a friend's birthday and they made it very special. We all used the spa which was great and affordable. The breakfast was lovely, but I would not recommend dinner.

There was some confusion when checking in and some of us were charged the wrong rates. But we managed to sort it out ourselves. We would not recommend eating dinner there.

A beautiful property with very spacious, clean rooms that provided all we needed during our stay. We had our laundry washed and returned very efficiently (they charge per kg), and enjoyed a massage which was excellent. The breakfast is truly the best and offered a variety of food that changes slightly each day, and it was delicious! We were able to rent a scooter to ride around for the day (200,000 vnd) and also used the bicycles for free. It’s easy enough to get a grab into the main town or Tam Coc. It was a little too cold to use the pool during our stay but we would have loved to! The pool area looked great but instead we enjoyed playing billiards and their very mini golf course.

This was the most comfortable room I stayed in in Vietnam. The sheets and douvet were SO soft I could've stayed in bed forever. The rooms were modern, full of light, and bathrooms were incredible. Highly recommend booking this hotel if you're headed to Ninh Binh. It's only 10 mins drive from all the tourist attractions, and I liked that we weren't right in the center of it all.

The only thing I can think of is that I wish some of the breakfast buffet options were cold - i.e., pancakes, spring rolls, banana fritters - all delicious but had been left out a while so everything was cold

Hotel is located relatively far from the city center, but getting around is easy with Grab. The hotel provides bicycles for guests, although we didn’t use them. The staff is friendly, and the breakfast is decent, with eggs freshly prepared by the staff in the breakfast room. The overall property appears well-maintained.

The noise level is quite high, as the sound of passing trains is very noticeable. The bathrooms are not well-maintained, with moldy silicone and dirty grout in the shower. A thorough cleaning is definitely needed. Additionally, the excessive use of room spray was very unpleasant, as it was sprayed all over the room and on the bed.

Lovely hotel villa with idyllic location and beautiful surroundings. Gardens and outdoor spaces are beautifully maintained with great leisure activities for fun (pool table, mini golf swimming pool). Wonderful staff are extremely hospitable and friendly and were more than happy to cater out every need. Accommodation was amazing with nice spacious room and incredibly comfortable king size bed with the best pillows ever! Slept like a dream. Bathroom is great with nice spacious shower and good amenities. Great breakfast selection with delicious food and great coffee! 10/10 would highly recommend

Literally the only thing I could critique is that the bedroom needed a bit of dusting with cobwebs on the hanging lanterns and a bit of dust around. Otherwise everything was perfect!

This is a really beautiful resort and such good value. The staff here are genuinely lovely and want to help so much. I'm so grateful to them for going the extra mile when I got an Injury, they found me medicine that made a huge difference. The resort is in a lovely spot surrounded by rice fields. It's a short drive or moped away from Tam Coc (5-10 mins). The bike hire is free and you can hire a moped for 200,000 VND a day which is cheaper than multiple taxis. Riding around on the moped was a highlight because the surrounding area is so beautiful. The gardens are also worth a mention, its like being in a perfectly manicured jungle. Great to see the huge mountain snails, the odd frog, lizard, bat and local bird life as well!
