We stayed 8 nights in this hotel. The hotel is surrounded with greenery and it’s so beautiful. The hotel is clean and it has everything you need. They have a great restaurant, a big pool, a bar and the rooms are beautiful. The best part is the staff - they are truly amazing - so kind, professional and friendly. One great example of this is when my husband asked for cashew nuts to put on his dinner and they told him they didn’t have that. One of the staff members went away and bought him a big can of cashew nuts that she gave him complimentary at the next dinner. Special thanks to you Anh Nguyen in the reception - you are amazing. Also special thanks to the girl in the restaurant - so helpful and friendly. Also special thanks to the staff that went beyond and above to get my husband some cashew nuts. You should really visit this place, not only because it’s beautiful but mostly because the staff will make sure your stay is truly amazing.

This place is something else! Apart from having a beautiful hotel, fantastic rooms and great spa service (amazing after a day of exploring), I'd highlight the amazing people that work here. They were constantly looking for ways to please us, they got us connected with a great tour guide, and even after having left and realizing that we left a necklace in the hotel, they quickly coordinated efforts to get us the necklace back to us at our next destination 2 hours away! I can't stress how much we loved it here and would recommend to anyone looking to visit this area.

Nothing not to like. Our experience was flawless

A very small hotel set in beautiful grounds with a lush jungle vibe. A beautiful swimming pool, lovely villas and all nicely laid out. Lots of potential to improve further! This was our last stop in Vietnam and a smaller, more humble stay than some of the other hotels. Which is not a problem but did highlight a couple of areas for improvement. Breakfast - there were a lots of cakes. It would be great if the breakfast selection could be improved to have more vegetables and salad items and also the omelette to have more filling options. Service - if this could be improved it would really add to the overall level, especially around the pool. It would be great to have someone at the bar all day or coming out from reception taking orders rather than having to pop to reception. Also cocktails were only available from 2pm to early evening as the cocktail maker wasn’t there all day. One evening we came back to the hotel at about 9:30pm, was given the cocktail menu. I chose one then was told I couldn’t have one as the cocktail maker had gone home! Main food - there have been a few remarks on the main food menu but we actually quite liked it over the breakfast. There is lots of choice and portions are very large. You only really need 1 dish per person. Resort upkeep - the gardens are tended to everyday and are beautiful. House keeping was great. I believe the resort is fairly new but can already see signs of wear and tear in places. Like a lot of hotels in Vietnam, build quality isn’t quite the same as in Europe. The pool side toilet sinks were a little dirty (due to impregnation of dirt in the material rather than lack of cleaning) and there were no hand towels and paper towels to dry hands which would be welcomed. Overall we really liked our stay, the staff were very friendly and helpful and we had a great massage in the spa.

Nothing in particular

The location was remote however, still close enough and easy to get to Tam Coc, Trang An, Hoa Lau etc. We rented a scooter for 200k a day and managed to get around everywhere. The staff and team are lovely and very helpful. The grounds keeper and cleaner are also very friendly and everyone says hello. The hotel offers 2 little kittens which is just a nice touch to our stay. Our room was large and spacious, our bed was very big and comfortable. Bathroom was also clean and spacious.

The drain had a smell but I believe that might be due to infrastructure rather than the hotel itself. During the night, you can hear the trucks but it didnt bother us too much - we were able to sleep through it.

The hotel is located in a peaceful area away from the city's hustle and bustle, yet within easy reach of the old town, city center, and major landmarks. It is set in a stunning tropical garden, with a breathtaking pool at its heart. The rooms are exceptionally spacious, beautifully furnished, elegant, and filled with natural light. The bed is extremely comfortable, and there is a small terrace surrounded by greenery. The breakfast is excellent—very diverse, offering a wide selection of both Asian and European dishes, along with plenty of fresh fruit. Absolutely first-class reception staff—professional and friendly at the same time, very helpful and willing. And best egg-coffee in Vietnam :-) I absolutely recommend it. If I ever visit Vietnam again, I will definitely come back.

We didn't find a single mistake.

The hotel itself is very nice, a lovely oasis with large,comfortable, clean rooms and the staff are sweet and helpful. The rooms have beautiful baths but sadly there is insufficient hot water to fill them (make sure you leave your hot water heater switched on) but the showers are good instead. Breakfast is ok with lots of local offerings plus eggs/omelette/pancakes but the coffee is the worst I have had in Vietnam (or anywhere probably). The food in the restaurant was pretty good but it was very quiet so for something livelier, head into Tam Coc. Grab (taxi) can take a while to come to the hotel but loads available in Tam Coc to get back.

Although the hotel and grounds are lovely, the location is a bit remote and unattractive and we didn’t feel safe using the bicycles or walking along the road so relied on Grab to get us everywhere. As the hotel is close to main roads and the train line it is quite noisy, especially at night as trains and trucks hoot very frequently. The staff will provide earplugs if you haven’t bought your own. The downstairs rooms are a bit quieter as they are shielded by the other buildings.

Coco Island Villa & Hotel Ninh Bình is absolutly amazing. Pictures shown on here reflect the reality. The facility is very nice and clean. The staff is courteous and helpful. The sights around Ninh binh are all very close and you can even use the free bikes to get around. During our stay there was a typhoon and we had issues with our further travels. The manager himself went above and beyond to help us organize our new itinerary. Overall I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. Thank to the entire team for making us feel comfortable and welcomed.

The location is a little odd, as the driver left us on the side of the road and we had to cross a bridge to get to the hotel. But once there the hotel is lovely. It has a very relaxing atmosphere and the staff were very welcoming. We were celebrating a friend's birthday and they made it very special. We all used the spa which was great and affordable. The breakfast was lovely, but I would not recommend dinner.

There was some confusion when checking in and some of us were charged the wrong rates. But we managed to sort it out ourselves. We would not recommend eating dinner there.

This was the most comfortable room I stayed in in Vietnam. The sheets and douvet were SO soft I could've stayed in bed forever. The rooms were modern, full of light, and bathrooms were incredible. Highly recommend booking this hotel if you're headed to Ninh Binh. It's only 10 mins drive from all the tourist attractions, and I liked that we weren't right in the center of it all.

The only thing I can think of is that I wish some of the breakfast buffet options were cold - i.e., pancakes, spring rolls, banana fritters - all delicious but had been left out a while so everything was cold

A beautiful property with very spacious, clean rooms that provided all we needed during our stay. We had our laundry washed and returned very efficiently (they charge per kg), and enjoyed a massage which was excellent. The breakfast is truly the best and offered a variety of food that changes slightly each day, and it was delicious! We were able to rent a scooter to ride around for the day (200,000 vnd) and also used the bicycles for free. It’s easy enough to get a grab into the main town or Tam Coc. It was a little too cold to use the pool during our stay but we would have loved to! The pool area looked great but instead we enjoyed playing billiards and their very mini golf course.
