Awesome pool!!! The bungalow rooms by the pool were a great deal and had lovely balconies. Some of the other rooms didn’t look as nice. It’s a quick walk to the beach/ bars/ restaurants

Wifi didn’t work the first day but the staff were incredibly helpful and managed to get it back on the next morning :)

I have been travelling around SE Asia for over 2 months I ended up extending my stay at Dong Xuan Hong for 2 weeks. Probably my favourite hotel on my travels and so cheap compared to rooms on the Thai islands. It is in a great location on the road near the beach and bar etcs. The hotel itself is set back from the road so it is quiet. They have a nice pool that never seems to be that busy surrounded by greenery. The staff are great and friendly and always working hard. I guess the only downside was no one spoke English, but we just used Google Translate. My room had a pool garden view with a Balcony

The room for 4 is really small and unsuitable for a longer stay. The pool has only three sunbeds for many guests. There is no access to the beach, everything is reserved for hotels on the beach. Beds and pillows are hard. You have nowhere to dry your bathing suit and towels, as there is no veranda, so be careful which room you book, newer apartments have a balcony/veranda.

The staff is extremely friendly and very accommodating. They don’t really speak English but with the use of google translate everything went very smoothly. There is a shared kitchen which is great to use especially for breakfast. The location is excellent with a lot of cafes and restaurants around and the beach is a 5 min walk away.

The rooms could definitely be cleaned better and the shared kitchen as well. I also wish there was more seating around the pool.

Quiet location, but only a few minutes from a well-maintained beach.

The pool is inside the complex and the sunlight is blocked by the buildings - especially the children pool, leaving it pretty cold for swimming.

So glad I stayed here for 5 nights. Conveniently located walking distance to the beach, night market and restaurants. Would recommend considering what room type you want as there are a group of rooms that is part of the main corridor after entering, surrounding the pool and part of a side 3 floor building. I booked the deluxe double room with balcony which gave me a room in the 3 floor building. The room has the basics of a bed, night stand, armoire. The balcony has two chairs and a table. Tip to access the beach from the Hawaii Resort across the street and slightly to the right when exiting the hotel/facing the beach. Security at another nearby hotel wasn’t okay with my cutting through. There is a sign on the beach noting that 50m from the shoreline is public beach. There is some music that could be heard from other properties at night and nothing to do with the hotel. The music stopped at a reasonable time. The pool was very well maintained and a good size lap pool. There was a main pool and side pool that was more shallow. The grounds are beautiful with lush green and orchids. This oasis like space was nice to return to each day after entering from the main street. Breakfast was included and they partner with next door Island Coffee, a great space to start the day. Option to order from a menu from noodle soup to banh mi egg (sandwich). I’m vegan and greatly appreciate that the person working at the hotel went out of her way to pick up delicious vegetable noodle soup from somewhere else for me each morning. She went above and beyond. I appreciate her being so accommodating since food choices are a concern for me when traveling. I wish I had learned the woman at the hotel’s name. To her - thank you for your thoughtfulness and kindness. I’d stay here again if I returned to Phu Quoc for the location, affordability, pool and breakfast.

Super cute place with nice pool 3 minutes from the beach. Rooms service every day, pool extremely clean, beautiful garden and friends staff. Absolutely enjoyed our stay here

Rooms can get pretty stuffy and have a bit of humidity smell, but expected due to the closeness to the pool. Staff couldn’t speak English but were very friendly, google translate was a good help

Great location, as only 5 minute walk to the beach. Lovely bright room which huge windows. Quite area even though it was so close to the main road.

Only problem was how easy it was for other people to look into our room, which we commonly found the staff doing.
