Lavender Garden Phu Quoc This is a lovely place, very clean. Catch the number 17 bus from the airport or hire a scooter 150000ď or from hotel same price. You will need a scooter to do those long trips to each end of the Island or the many beaches and night markets, remember mostv of the beach are controlled by the tourist resorts and don't have public access. At LG some units have AC others only a fan. I had a fan in December 2024 it was ok for me. Staff are very good and friendly as is the owners younger daughter. There are food and Vietnamese Restaurants about 1.1klm away as is an ATM. The scooter makes life that much easier to travel. Food prices are double that of Da Nang for Vietnamese food, in fact most items are 50% more expensive in Phu Quoc and Da Nang. If your into cooked frogs, they are available at Night Market Concept 14 minutes away near boat harbour to go to the islands for diving. Diving at Bunaken Island in North Sulawesi is cheaper and in a class of it own to see coral and marine life. Overall nice place to stay for 3 or 4 days and cheap.

Distance without a scooter is a problem as is beaches in Phu Quoc owned by big private Tourists Resorts. Needs to change, all beaches should be public

Backpackers unite! Are you a backpacker like us and are you looking for a budget-friendly option in Phu Quoc? Search no more! There's a beautful beach nearby, 10-15 minutes walking. Shortcut to get there: cross the street and enter the narrow walkpath just in front. Follow this road. At the end, you'll reach the sea with a beach bar to your right. The beach bar is actually a hotel's, but you can enter here if you get a drink. Just make sure to bring your own towel. The beach is pristine, the water crystal-clear. Plenty of budget-friendly restaurants in the neighbourhood as well. By applying this travel hack, you'll end up enjoying some lavish vacation time for a very democratic accommodation price. Windy, the man who works at Lavender Garden, is the best. And so is John Cena, the dog a.k.a. Lavender Garden's guardian. Fun fact: John Cena is scared of cats. Anyway, enjoy your stay!

We loved it so much here that we came back. Once again, the road to the beach, as I feel that this one will be helpful for many backpackers like ourselves: 10-15 minutes walking. Shortcut: cross the street and enter the narrow walkpath just in front of you. Follow this road and then at the end turn left. You'll now reach the sea with a beach bar to your right. The bar is actually a hotel's, but you can enter if you get a drink. Just make sure to bring your own towel. The beach is pristine, the water crystal-clear. Enjoy your stay!

Staying at the Lavender Garden Guesthouse on Phu Quoc Island was an exceptional experience for me. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with attentive service that made my stay seamless and enjoyable. The staff went above and beyond to meet my needs, showcasing a level of hospitality that was both refreshing and commendable. I was particularly impressed by the cleanliness of the guesthouse. Every corner was maintained to impeccable standards, contributing to a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. My room was a tranquil retreat, exuding a sense of freshness that I found particularly delightful. The subtle aroma of lavender filled the air, enhancing the serene ambiance and ensuring a restful sleep. In terms of value for money, the Lavender Garden Guesthouse truly stood out. It offered a quality of service and accommodation that far surpassed its price point, making it an excellent choice for someone like me who seeks great value without compromising on quality. The combination of stellar service, pristine cleanliness, and the fresh ambiance of my room made for a truly remarkable stay. I wholeheartedly recommend the Lavender Garden Guesthouse to anyone visiting Phu Quoc Island. Apparently we booked 3 times so here's my third and last review. Road to the beach: 10-15 minutes walking. Fun fact: John Cena, the dog, is scared of cats.

The host is super friendly and very helpful. He checked in with me everyday to see how I was and gave lots of suggestions on how I could get to places. He had lots of beautiful, playful cats as well as a dog haha! The location is good being in the middle of the island, but I recommend you rent a bike, as grab bikes don't work on the island so it becomes expensive getting grab cars everywhere. If this isn't possible, you can use the free bus to some places. The host gave me a lift to the nearby stops on a few occasions, which was very kind of him :)

There's not many options for restaurants nearby if you don't have a bike. I couldn't get the hot water to work

Great price for what you get, walking distance to the touristy area. Both fan and aircon rooms available; good size room with attached bathroom with hot shower, sink and counter space in the room, drinking water provided, pleasant common area, the host was very friendly and ready to answer all our questions and we even got the meet the owner who was very welcoming. We were able to rent a moto with the host's help for a good price.

All was as described.

The staff were absolutely amazing! Windy was a star and was so helpful and communicative, there was a beautiful vibe to the hostel and although a bit far away from centre it was in the perfect location for Ong Lang beach which is beautiful!!!! Perfect for a relaxing get away and only a 14 minute drive from the centre :) I really really loved this accommodation. Thank you guys!

Nothing!

Clean and quiet place. Free drinking water in the room.

The room gets very warm during the day and it is not easy to refresh it by opening the window and door. I don't take it into consideration in my rating but scooter renting is expensive, better look around.
