I was here when it was rain season in Phu Quoc so there wasn’t many tourists at all and I think I was the only one at the resort haha. The pool area was nice and the pool warm relaxing. You could see there was some areas at the resort they didn’t used so much, like the kitchen, only to eat breakfast. Maybe they use it more when it’s high season and there more people. The resort still has that ”local/cozy vibe” that I was looking for. So if you are looking for a place that’s more lowkey, with less tourists I would recommend this place. The location is ok, there’s always grab taxi you can take from the resort and into city, since the hotel is located in Ong Lang. However it was difficult to get grab scooter from the hotel to the city, but from the city to your hotel it worked fine. Grab taxi cost maybe around 100.000-200.000 VND. And scooter half price. However you can always rent a scooter and drive yourself, it’s quite easy around the island.

The owners were so nice, Any issue we had they fixed right away, not that they were big issues, just normal everyday things that could happen anywhere. The resort is absolutely lovely, the bungalows are surrounded by gardens and beautiful flowering vines. The bungalow we were in was very spacious. The bathroom was lovely with a walk-in shower. We even had a geco come into the room on a few occasions. The pool was really nice and clear. The beach is an easy 10 minute walk, there are lots of places to eat, supermarkets and pharmacy all within 2- 10 minutes walk. Even though it is not in the center of Phu Quoc, the free Vinbus runs frequently from the main road, which was a 10 min walk, if that and that even takes you to the airport, which we did use a few times. I would highly recommend Palm Hills Resort to anyone.

There was nothing we didn't like.

Fantastic location, 10 minutes walk to the sandy beach down a quiet street, with small local shops and restaurants. Central location for small bars, shops, pharmacy, restaurants, and local scooter hire. Not really party area but great place to relax for a few days. Very comfortable, clean rooms, with fridge, kettle, clean towels, shower gel, the best bathroom and shower in vietnam so far! You can borrow pool towels at reception, and book local trips and excursions. Beautiful quiet, clean pool with sunbeds. Everyone is so helpful and always with a smile. We extended our stay by a few days we enjoyed the area so much.

I couldn't stay longer. I will be back very soon.

the bungalows are lovely and clean, set in tropical gardens. the pool is fantastic, and they even filled up the baby pool for our toddler. we felt very welcome and had an amazing time. breakfast included a egg that they cook there and then, and a good amount of fruit. lovely cafe across the road which is a bit of a mix of western and Asian. Really great coffees there.

just needed to get used to the noise at night - there is a water pump that can be noisy when your bungalow is close to it. slept through it after the first night though.

Our favourite place on Phu Quoc. We visited in January and came back again in March as our last week of a 5 month trip around SE Asia. The family are so helpful and friendly, the rooms and site are well looked after and maintained to a good standard. Including a clean pool. Excellent value for money, nice breakfast choices, comfortable rooms and good position for restaurants and beaches. The gardens are very pretty and fragrant! Thank you for another lovely stay, we will be back!

The property was in a good location of the village of Ong Lang. From the hotel there are a number of restaurants and coffee shops which was perfect for us. If you want more options you can head into the main centre which is a 15 minute taxi journey away. There is a beautiful beach just a 10 minute walk from the property. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the shower area was great! Loved the grounds, felt very lush and tropical. Breakfast was basic but provided fried eggs, omelettes, fruit, bread etc. We are happy that we chose to stay here in Ong Lang, and found that it was excellent value for money!

The owners were super sweet and friendly. Our 7 year old daughter absolutely loved the pool. There was a small breakfast buffet and then you could have a banana pancake and the type of egg that you wanted. And then there would be fried rice, noodle soup or something else. It varied every morning. We got fresh towels every day. We got four small waters every day. There was shower gel, shampoo etc in the bathroom. Nice green view, when you looked out the window. We ate a lot of take out from the nearby restaurants, as our 4 month old baby got tired, and it was easier to eat at home. It looks like the owners recycled the garbage, which was nice to see, as you see a lot of other places burning trash all over the island.

All the reviews I read about the place, before booking it, said that it was a short walk to the beach, which is true. The beach is at the end of the road. There isn’t a lot of beach though. It’s like the ocean starts, where the road ends. But you can rent a sunbed from the resort that is “on the beach” for 100.000 dong. The 100.000 song seems to be the standard price, when you rent a sunbed in Phú Quoc island.

Breakfast changed most days but fresh eggs cooked how you like were always there. The immediate area has a village atmosphere with lots of great restaurants as well as shops and massage places. The free bus is ten minutes walk away. The beach about 15 minutes walk. Fair snorkelling there and shallow water so good for kids.

Vietnam has a major problem with litter, which upsets me.

Great location in the heart of the village, close to the beach and good selection of bars/restaurants/mini marts. Well looked after throughout. Friendly, helpful staff. Good breakfast in the morning with plenty of variety, soup, eggs cooked to your liking, banh mi, coffee, juice, toast/baguette and fresh salad/fruit. Pool was lovely and clean. We would stay again!

We spent two weeks at the Palm Hills Resort with our two young children and had a wonderful time. Everything was just great - the pool was sparkling clean and the water was nice and warm, the bungalow was very nice, and the paths are covered with all kinds of palm trees and other plants that you feel a bit like in the jungle. We always took the bikes to the beach, which you could borrow for free. The supermarket can be reached within a minute and most restaurants are just a few steps away. The operators did everything to ensure that we had a wonderful holiday. A mattress was exchanged for a harder one for us, coconuts were brought when one of us was sick, children were looked after and we were even able to taste mussels that the operator collected. For breakfast every day there was delicious fresh juice, omelette, and a pasta or rice dish, baguette,... Every day there was something different. We could have asked for anything for breakfast, but we were totally happy with it. In short, we felt at home and we couldn't have imagined a better place for a holiday with children. We are so grateful for the wonderful time! We don't know why the Palm Hills is often listed as sold out on Booking.com. Just try to book through another portal or simply contact the Palm Hills directly.
