We stayed at the Bay View Villa 3. it was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. if you can afford the villa I think it’s definitely worth it. the views are incredible and the villa is completely isolated and therefore quiet. i think our villa probably had the best view. the resort is lush, natural but has mostly everything one needs the main bedroom in the villa has glass windows so more protected from mosquitos and easy to cool with air con. the staff goes in every evening to light anti-mosquito coils and the beds are protected with excellent mosquito nets. we loved the bathroom and showering in an open bathroom. yes there can be geckos and some little frogs/spiders but that’s what you get for being in paradise. it didn’t bother us at all, in fact we loved it. the resort offered mosquito repellent, 4 bottles of water daily. they clearly are making an effort to reduce plastic. They provide a torch in case you feels you want a little more light in the evening. The North beach is probably the best in the area. Mostly because it is not large but big enough for the resort and there is a protected cove making it very safe to swim. the south beach was a little more rocky and not a lot of people stayed there. you can choose. you can paddle board, kayak and have a bicycle for 1 hour for free. snorkels are free. the breakfast was great. there are 2 restaurants/bars, both in a nice setting the prices the restaurant at night are expensive but well worth for a treat. there are plenty of restaurants in walking distance (tree house for example has excellent service, staff and the food is good). these will be a lot cheaper. you can use the App grab to go to the main town. costed us around 120000-140000 dong and takes 15-20 minutes Oh, and finally the staff. they were helpful, kind and attentive.

Nothing worth mentioning

This is a place we never would have been able to afford in Europe, we weren’t used to it and it was amazing! Right on a pristine beautiful beach, great for swimming, snorkelling, chilling and watching the sunset. Never had to compete for sun lounger. Free snorkel and kayak hire and they arranged scooter hire for us. We had a sea view bungalow, it was so private and beautiful and the staff were so attentive. Cleaned the room every morning and came at dusk to put mosquito coils out and put the mosquito nets down. Our bed had air con built in which was amazing. The bathroom is open to the elements outside but I loved it. There’s no glass on the windows, only shutters but it’s so hot (in January) you don’t want it and we loved our resident geckos keeping the bugs at bay. The complimentary breakfast was delicious, lots to choose from, options for vegan/vegetarians and a daily special. We ate in the restaurant too, yes it’s more expensive than local prices but so tasty and I’m talking £2 a beer compared to 50p in local restaurants but £7.50 in England! And there’s so many delicious places to eat and shops in walking distance if your budget can’t stretch. There’s free shuttle buses to town several times a day and free airport pick up/drop off of you stay a certain number of days. Frankly it was all a luxury I’m not accustomed to! Phụ quốc as an island is small and easy to get around and so so beautiful.

Can’t fault anything

Friendly staff, very helpful in every situation. Amazing to start the day with yoga. Nice spa. Food at On the rocks was brilliant, was happy to try the special every day. Nice fresh fruits for breakfast. Had the beach/rocks all to myself every day (low season) which was incredible.

The area around mango bay is very dead and there arent really other options within walking distance for dinner etc if you want to explore other than mango bay. Not a social hotel, which is fine but as a solo traveler who sometimes wants to chit chat with someone over a beer, its a bit lonely. Scary lizzards etc in the room but not much to do about it :)

The little touches from incredibly considerate and helpful staff, beautifully designed villas, outdoor toilet and shower ( complete with my own frog…so cute), comfortable and eco bed cooling system, evening service, woven beach bag and luxurious beach towels, insect repellent, fully stocked room bar, beautiful and safe sandy beach + additional rock beach, free activities - snorkelling kit, kayaks, Paddle boards - phew - all elevate this gem of a resort to near 5 star experience

Restaurants are on the expensive side although the food is great quality and the complimentary breakfast is really good. There are plenty of great local restaurants walking distance away

What an incredible stay! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mango Bay from start to finish and would have extended it if the hotel wasn't booked up. The staff were so accomidating and everything was thought of right down to the nightly incense placed in the room to combat mosquitos. We didn't leave the resort throughout our stay and had a great meal at both restaurants every time, which made Christmas Day paticularly special. The breakfast included is great and has lots of variety and they accomidated to my allergies. We'll definitely be making a return visit. Thank you to all the wonderful staff throughout the resort!

The hotel is beautiful and luxurious for a hotel minimising their environmental impact. The cool breeze lower impact air conditioning around the bed worked really well, as did the mosquito net. You are relying on managing mosquitoes with coils, the net and fans, which the staff managed for us. We also mostly kept our light off as the bathroom had an open space to the outdoors. The food at the restaurant was outstanding and may be the best meal of our holiday so far. Seafood from around Phu Quoc and everything was impeccably prepared.

We had some difficulty getting to the hotel with visa challenges, but the staff kept in frequent touch. Might have been good for them to provide more detailed information in this instance. Overall they were very helpful though

This is the perfect spot for a romantic getaway. With outstanding, clean facilities, a welcoming and smiling staff, and a variety of delicious breakfast options, every detail is thoughtfully taken care of. Enjoy beautiful sunsets, a private beach, daily free shuttle services, and movie nights under the stars. The location is ideal, with easy access to a coral reef (by boat from local dive instructors), scooter rentals, wellness services and local food and activities nearby in Doung Doung. We loved it so much we extended our stay until our flight home!

Mango Bay is an incredible experience! Surrounded by natural beauty. The bungalow we stayed in had a sea view, was super comfy and had a wonderful outdoor bathroom. The resort boasts some wonderful free activities, such as kayaking, bike riding and scuba etc. The two restaurants at Mango Bay are right in the rocks and sand by the beach with a great selection of different and delicious cuisine. Mango Bay is eco-minded and seems to build on the idea of sustainability. It should be noted that there’s no air conditioning, however they do have a neat cooling system for the bed. You’re also in nature so will encounter some interesting geckos, lizards, and other wildlife; but it all adds to the charm of the place.

We loved the layout of the resort and the beautiful natural environment and we appreciated the cleanliness of the beach and walkways. We noticed the regular morning clean up that the staff did in this regard. We loved the outside shower/bathroom and the attention to detail in the room itself. Food in the restaurant was top class, really liked the marinated kingfish. All the staff were super attentive and communicated well. Kudos to Mango Bay !

Our room was great but too close to the neighbors as regards privacy especially when you want to utilize the verandah area.

Everything was perfect. The hotel works with nature, not against it. Everything is done so beautifully. We loved the outdoor bathroom, the refillable water (no plastic!), and the anti-mosquito amenities (mosquito nets, incense coils and repellant spray). Breakfast was great, as was every other meal we had at the restaurant - wonderful setting right on the sea, friendly staff, and the best food in Phu Quoc hands down. Definitely make the most of the complementary yoga in the mornings, the instructor is excellent! All this plus serene beaches and a peaceful spa, it’s the perfect place to unwind.
