Loved the place! Peaceful, full of green, nice pool, versatile breakfast, spaceous and clean room and bathroom, good wifi connection and tv, close to the beach, local markets and restaurants. But the best part was the receptionist Yen. She was truly the heart and soul of that place. Smiling, welcoming, kind and helpful. I extended my stay by 4 days as I liked the place so much.

Not much to say, some construction noise but that wasn't troubling to me

We stayed for one month and absolutely loved this place. It’s just a two-minute walk to the beach, where we often enjoyed both sunrise and the magical sunset (the water is warm and perfect for swimming). The pool is amazing as well. Yen is the heart of this place—so welcoming and kind. She helped us with tour bookings, directions, and any questions we had. Chiang, who is new to Vela, was also very friendly, and it was a pleasure greeting the staff every morning on our way to breakfast. A major highlight for me was the motorbike rental. The bike was in excellent condition, unlike my experiences at other places in Vietnam. I drove it daily for a month without any issues. We will truly miss this lovely place. Highly recommended!

The hotel territory is very nice, green and full of flowers. My 4 y.o. daughter loved the pool! It was open till 9 p.m. or even later on, which, as I heard from other tourists, is rare on Phi Quoc. We also appreciated the proximity to the beach, restaurants and grocery sellers. We are vegan and still there usually was at least 1 hot vegan dish for breakfast, which we didn't expect at all. The room interior is generally fine for the money we paid. People from previous reviews mentioned noise from a reconstruction site nearby. Maybe we were lucky, the reconstruction next to out hotel seemed to be unfinished but we didn't see any workers there. Please note that in the old building room with a balcony the bathroom had a classical Asian setup with no curtains or shower cabin. My brother stayed in another building and had a shower cabin and in general a newer room by the look at it. But I enjoyed the pool view from the older building.

In our family room running water was unstable and weak at some parts of the day, but it was tolerable. I really missed a variety of veggies and greens for breakfast, but that's me with my vegan eating habits. You van bring your own groceries if the options for breakfast are not enough.

This was my second stay because my last memory was so wonderful. It was a wonderful stay again. The staff are all so kind and wonderful. The smile of the receptionist, Ms. Yen, is a treasure of the trip. For all dog lovers, two cute and shy dogs here. They are mother and son. The mother black and white dog, named “Maiwan”, loves to be petted. Please play and pet with her. Don't worry if you don't like dogs. They understand who doesn't like dogs. They are harmless and professional in guarding the hotel. Enjoy the pool, the sea by walking, delicious breakfast and heart warming stays !!!!

Absolutely loved our stay here! The beds were super comfortable, and the location was perfect: peaceful during the day and at night, so we slept incredibly well. Yet, there’s plenty of life in the evenings with amazing restaurants just steps away. Plus, the beach is right there! The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming—we stayed so long that they started to feel like family :) Breakfast was a treat every morning, always fresh and with something new to try. Thank you for making our stay truly unforgettable!

This is a great place! Very close to a dream beach, nice restaurants and amazing massage places. The breakfast is several types of eggs, then there’s pancake, sausages, French fries and fruit. You also have a water boiler in your room so you can make your own coffee anytime. The cleaning is every other day and you get water every day. The beds were very comfy, internet almost perfect to work. But Yen from the reception was just the sweetest! So friendly! She would arrange anything you need, very sweet lady.

Resort is well maintained and clean. Owner and Manager are always concerned about guest's well being. Helpful also in helping you getting around. I wish to point out that the manager lady Yen is English speaking which is not always existing in Vietnam. That makes communication easy. She is always there with a smile to help or address concerns. Breakfast was included in my stay and consists of a choice of 3 out of 10 options. Pool was always clean and a pleasure to swim in. Motorbike rental available and in good condition. Best possible value.

It might have been the time of year but Ong Lang beach was almost non existing. Especially with high tide. It is very quiet. I like it. But main town is remote. You will need transportation. It can all be arranged though. So this line is more a hint then a 'didn't like'

We had such a great time at Vela Resort! Nice room , beds were comfy , and it’s just a 2-minute walk to the beach. There are restaurants and little shops close by too, which made everything really convenient. Breakfast was tasty every morning, and the whole vibe was just super chill and welcoming. Huge thanks to Yen, Mi Yan, Nhung, Hân and all the amazing staff—you guys made us feel like family. You’re doing an awesome job, and we can’t wait to come back!

The staff have been super friendly. The room was large and clean. The proximity to the narrow beach was also great. Beautiful sunsets. There are some restaurants nearby with delicious food.

The room could use some cosmetic touches. The beach was mostly clean but is very narrow and unfortunately has hardly any shady spots. The breakfast was sparse. Sometimes tour groups are accommodated here and they were already very noisy at 6am and in the pool. No one seemed to care that this noise woke everyone up in the morning.

All the staff are really nice and kind. Especially Mrs Yen at the front desk, she always tries to help me with beautiful smile and Perfect English. She is really professional. The rooms are cleaned every day. You can get bottle of water ,new towel and coffee every day. The rooms are very spacious and the air conditioning works well. There is no noise all day. You can sleep quietly. I never hear any noise from next room or other.The pool is cleaned every morning, so you can use it with peace of mind. If you like sea You can go to the beach only 5min by walk.This beach is safety local kids enjoy themself and can see a beautiful sunset. You can walk to the supermarket, restaurants and cafes. It is a peaceful area, and the locals greet and smile. I was also healed by the many cute calm animals. I think I will come to Phu Quoc to stay here again and I will rent bike from here because so cheep. P.S. You can eat warm freshly cooked pho every morning. It's delicious.I enjoyed.
