I’m not sure how this hotel lets their workers bring their children to work and leaves them unattended in the pool all day!?!?!?!?! And in the rooms unattended. Therefore was 5 boys staying there the weekend I was there. These boys were in the pool area by themselves, taking other children’s toys away from them, being very loud and obnoxious, when I got up to me room on the second floor, these same boys were running up and down the hall until late late into the night, after 10:30 pm, with no adult around. These boys were around the ages of 10-13 yrs.old. This unfortunately has happened on more than one stay I’ve had at this motel. Not the same kids but employees that have their children hanging out all by themselves while the mom works. I’m not sure why management allows this to happen. I’ve stayed at this motel a ton but I’m thinking of staying elsewhere from now on.

I stay at the Best Western in Marion Il every few months throughout the year. I noticed the hotel was under new management. The staff were very helpful and made sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I usually stay on the third floor facing West because it is quieter. Less children going by to go to the pool. Breakfast was the usual cold/hot breakfast. I will be staying here again I am sure.

The only issue I had was the coffee for the 6am breakfast was not ready. I had to skip it so I could get going on time.

The reserrvation process through Booking.com was a disaster. I made the reservation and paid using a credit card while traveling. When i followed the directions from the reservation, I never found the BW....I was directed in circles in the wrong area of town, several miles from the BW. I call the BW and was given verbal directions...once there, it was pointed out to me that my reservation was for three days later, as they said is common on the booking site....in order to show a cheaper rate, it needs to be in the future. They honored what I thought I had reserved. So, the BW was fabulous.....the booking .com experience was frustration PLUS.

The hotel is conveniently located off the highway. The staff was pleasant and the room was clean and comfortable. There was a really good selection of food for breakfast. My four-year-old grandson ate everything he selected and I especially appreciated the almond milk!

I'd called prior to making the reservation and spoke to the Blake at the front desk. I asked if there was an indoor pool and what time it closed. While s/he did answer both questions, I wasn't informed that it wasn't available for use. Needless to say, I was a little disappointed because I had told my grandson that we were going swimming and we'donly have about 30 minutes to swim once we arrived. Thankfully, he was just happy to be staying overnight in a hotel. All I ask is that you guys be up front so that we, as customers, cash make fully informed decisions, and time and money are not wasted.

Cleanliness and the staff

BREAKFAST! A major nearby university had graduation including a baseball team that was staying at the hotel. The only juice that was working was orange juice which eventually ran out and was prettyich water. I arrived to breakfast at 6:30 am and there was at least 25 guest. There was a small container for eggs (which by the way wasn't bad, however they ran out of food very often. Just a suggestion, I didn't taste the sausage , however I did see them and almost barfed. Minimally get real sausage.

The only thing I didn’t like that we settle in and was relaxing watching tv then we hear kids running up and down the hall 2&3 floor then they started banging on our door and running. So I call the service desk to complain and the guys said he was going to do something but he couldn’t leave the front desk so I ask him well how are you going to tell them or see them when they are on the 2&3 floor and your at the front desk, I told him I will tell them and he replied don’t be hard on them, but what about us that are trying to relax and the elderly people that was there.. that was very disturbing!!!!!! He was talking like he knew them, and what they were doing.

This place was so clean and the room definitely exceeded my expectations of the room! The staff was very courteous and friendly. For a Hotel breakfast, it was amazing. They had a huge variety of food, both hot and cold and what I ate (waffle, biscuits and sausage gravy along with a sausage patty) was delicious.

The pool honestly was too warm and didn't look very clean. The room the pool was in was very humid. The hot tub was out of order. The halls were warm and humid.

We had previously stayed at a different local motel but found this one to be much better! We immediately noticed the quiet at night and the cleanliness of the room. We had encountered rude staff at the other one but we immediately felt comfortable when "Sandy" who checked us in was joking and laughing with us. The first room we were given had a broken bottom on the toilet. I was impressed when a maintenance man was by the desk and offered to immediately come check it! They did need to give us another room which happened right away with no issues. Oh and breakfast is fantastic! Great motel!

The only things we found as an issue was no rubber mat on the floor in the tub for when showers are taken or at least available. We struggled the first time taking showers due to safety so could not do it again. Also, the toilet was too low for older people to get off of and there was no safety rail. We do not use a handicapped room as most come with only one bed and it would make it difficult.

The beds had new mattresses. The room was very clean. The breakfast had a selection of hot and cold items. Plenty to choose from. I liked the staff and the assistance to any question or concern that I might have. They were also helpful with directions to local restaurants and shopping. This location is not far from Southern University and about 50 miles from Paducah Ky if you cannot find a place close during the Quilt Shows. If you stay here ask to be on the second or third floor facing West. It is mush quieter. Also they have an indoor pool for the kiddos and a hot tub for adults.

No fault of the hotel, but there is road construction going on. The exit ramp to go South on HWY 57 is closed. You must go out of the motel and take a right. Follow this road until you get the the main st in Marion. Take another right and then turn right on to 57 South to Ciro. This was in April 2023. They may have the exit open soon.

The pool was very nice. The breakfast was excellent. The waffle maker was exceptional. The breakfast staff was very accommodating. Food was hot, fresh and plentiful.

I specifically called the hotel before booking and inquired about the hot tub. I was told that it was operational. However, when we arrived the hot tub was not operational and under repair. d
