Great location, friendly staff and wonderful facilities for children and adults alike.

I found it odd that even after taking a deposit, you couldn’t just charge what you wanted to the room to pay at the end of your stay. The hotel required you to put down a second deposit once the first was used up. We are well travelled and have stayed in many hotels, including others in Bali and have never experienced this before. It was a little inconvenient when trying to purchase food at the pool. Especially with a young family.

Perfect location ,Good comfy adult size beds, rockstar theme style rooms, incl a expresso machine, fridge, international power points at the wall, finally a nice smelling shampoo and moisturiser , sound proof rooms.Free live music at the bar at 9pm, nice decorated hall with the famous belongings of rockstars, great swimming pool with music underwater!!!! Possibility to rent a kazeboo at the pool with complimentary snacks,. It's a big hotel , I didn't see all in 3 days.. everyone has big smiles for you in this place...

Tought the breakfast restaurant was noisy and crowded in the morning. The taste was average, however it's a western people's place so most would be satisfied. The food served at the pool kinda western priced too and not for repeat for me. However you won't get a swimming pool in Amsterdam included for this price.

Excellent facilities and great activities for the kids

The pool and water park are amazing for children. The swim up bar is excellent for adults. The pool area is the main selling point of the hotel. The rooms are quite comfortable, but our room had a strange design with a lounge running right across the access to the balcony. This meant we had to crawl over that lounge to get to the sliding door to hang any towels or wet swimming trunks outside.

The hotel has a very strange policy with pool towels yes it's fine to sign for pool towels but to be not allowed to take them back to your room is very very odd and inconvenient. I had several arguments with staff because I was dripping wet from the pool and holding a wet 2-year-old. I wanted to wrap a dry towel around myself to walk all the way back the long distance to the room. I was constantly told this was not allowed. This is a silly policy and makes me want to not stay at the hard Rock hotel again. Getting in lifts walking upstairs and on slippery surfaces while dripping wet and not allowed to have a towel that's just not normal.

The price of the drinks whilst sitting around the pool. There wasn’t a big play area for the kids that my nanny or I could take them too. As my 2yr old couldn’t go to the kids club and I wanted my children to stay with my nanny or myself there was only that small play area. I wanted to upgrade to a bigger room for the family but the only option was one that included all these extra things that I wasn’t interested in such as a la carte breakfast, kids club etc. I couldn’t just upgrade my room only unfortunately.

The location is excellent, beach at the door your step and there are lots of things around - stalls, restaurant, convenient stores so there's always things to explore. The Hotel also has lots to do for the whole family - photo shoot, Kids rooms, music room, and swimming in the pool for days ( they have fun activities for the kids while the adults can enjoy a beverage or 2 in the pool). Hotel restaurant was great breakfast and dinner. Though we eat out most lunch time, but there also have the poolside cafe where you can also enjoy a meal. The pool will keep the kids entertained as they have play area, water slides and if you book a Cabana you can have a day at the hotel and just chill. Its walking distance to WaterBom too and a few major shopping malls so location is awesome.

Hard Rock is in a good position across the road from Kuta Beach and plenty of restaurants within walking distance. We upgraded to the Rock Royalty package and all the staff made us feel like ROYALTY, always greeting you by name with a smile. George , who always made a point of talking personally to all guests, - you have wonderful staff and should be really proud of them. Rikaa, Regina, Yellow, Adi, Fani, Doni, Adit, Dessy, Rini, Novi, Lidya( lovely ) and especially Widya who went over and above to help us . Apologies if I’ve missed anyone out. The New Year was the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve seen the New Year in many countries. I can’t understand the negative comments from some people about sunbeds and quality of the pool, plenty of beds and the pool and area was continually being cleaned.

Loved all of it, it exceeded my expectations.

Everyone was so friendly and the breakfast was massive. We liked the facilities for the kids and would stay again. The rooms were an adequate size for our small family (2a 2c) and my son loved it here. The slides were fun.

My children were constantly unwell. Towards the end we stopped all eating at the hotel for the kids and the improved significantly. We were in Bali for 23 days and only got sick when we stayed at hard rock (there for 9 days), my daughter ended up in hospital. They both made a significant recovery when we stopped drinking the water provided and food. At night there are people cleaning the main areas but in the cabana when we booked it wasn’t as clean as we would have liked it to be when you’re paying $65 au a day. If we were to come again, I wouldn’t eat the food or drink the water and be more vigilant with cleaning my children’s hands.

Family friendly, beautiful resort. Breakfast was great. Location was great.

Cabanas get booked easily so didn’t get a chance to experience one the entire week. I didn’t like the fact that you have to pay extra charges for a child once they’re 11 or 12 years so they aren’t considered as children. But you have two big beds to share with your little family which is plenty of space so the price would have been more worth it for the 2 adults and kids but because my son turned 12 we had to pay extra at check in. It is more realistic for the 2 adults to have their kids included in the price as there are two beds therefore it doesn’t need to be per person it’s more suitable to charge per room.

Buffet breakfast each day was a hit with the kids. The service staff were so friendly, polite & welcoming. They made my daughter a towel animal and left in on her bed she loved it so much they left her a different animal each day. Small effort can go a long way with a child. The pool has so many sections to it, we sat in a different spot each day to make the most of the whole pool area. I booked a cabana for 2 different days, one had a ladder and sat above the water so the kids could jump off into the water, as well as getting smoothies delivered! The room was perfect for myself and 2 children and they slept in everyday because the room temperature was cool, the bed was comfortable & the curtains blocked out any light. It was my first time taking the kids on a holiday overseas and I think the hard rock was the perfect location for this.

The buffet dinner food at the hotel was convenient and kids eat free per paying adult, however the food wasn't the best for what you pay. There is a lot of sunbeds to choose from which is great however the ones on the sand in the middle had no shade, this would be a great idea to maybe put a shade sail up or some umbrellas for long term use of them. This is me really having to think about negatives though, as there really wasn't many!
