It was well situated for a short walk to restaurants, bars and the CBD and transport. The rooms were large and also very quiet. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of fresh towels. The breakfast was tasty. Parking was reasonable and secure.

There was only one chair in the room, an uncomfortable one at that. There was ample room to have two comfortable chairs. The staff were pleasant but seemed a little under skilled. For example a group was booked in the night of our stay, at breakfast the seating hadn’t been arranged to accommodate a group, so guests were being shuffled about and some ended up trying to juggle meals at bar tables. Plates at breakfast were cold, chilling the hot food very rapidly and detracting from what would have otherwise been a quality meal.

We had a great stay at Mantra Northbourne. Bed was very comfortable, the unit clean and spacious, location was perfect and we had no problems finding parking in the hotel garage. The unit was on the older side but we expected from the website photos. It was nice to have prober light switches rather than the new touch switches common on the newer hotels.

Perhaps a touch of paint on the door frames would make is look a bit less old? Walls and everything else was good, it was only the door frames.

The 2 room set up was fantastic. and yet still private. location was perfect. Bed was too bouncy for me, but we all have our own specific styles. likes and preferences. this is not a complaint from me. Just my own feedback. Oh and I LOVE THE BATHROOM SOAPS - the Urban brand... Lemon grass flavour. LOVE THIS - have been on the website and purchased our own supply of body soap.

bathroom screen could have been longer to not allow water to fall out and wet the floor..

The hotel is in a great location close to restaurants and cafes, a short walk to shopping and short drive to attractions. About 20 minutes to Mount Stromlo if you are into mountain biking and walking.

Only suggestion if considering the Mantra and travelling with elderly check if the bathroom is just a shower or has a bath with shower over, it can be difficult for older folk to navigate hopping over the bath!

Very spacious and well designed one bedroom apartment. Every space was functional. Staff were approachable, friendly and very helpful - it was nice how they always smiled, makes a difference!

Having to ask for amenities like soap, bodywash and toothbrushes. It wasn't already stocked in the room upon arrival. Also, the swimming pool didn't look welcoming (it's in the basement and looked old, dark and scary).

Room was huge, so well set up - kitchen fully stocked, exceeded my expectations.

The pool was terrible. Is it in a basement? Access to the pool feels like you’re entering a dungeon. Please paint the walls of that stairwell, add pool decor to the walls, provide some pool toys for kids, install a window to outside - if pool faces a car park, create a slim garden beside the window with plants to give the impression of a real window. Deck was small but functional, however the hot air blowing out of the exhaust from the AC blows straight onto you on the deck.

The hotel staff were lovely, the bed comfortable and the water hot. I really liked that I could easily link my streaming services to the room TV to watch on the bigger screen.

The building itself was a little tired, paint chipping off the walls, bathroom amenities dated. None of this matters when you are just looking for a place to sleep at night.

The location and ambience was all terrific.

Getting in and out of the driveway to car park was interesting at times, when other cars blocked the roadway. One morning we didn't come to breakfast until 8am, and there were no glasses left for the juice, plates for the cooked meal. I wondered if maybe there were not enough staff to cater to the needs of the guests in the hotel that day.

Great location, nice apartment, clean,staff were good , we used the pool very afternoon, would stay again if we went back to Canberra.

The parking was a problem, if you are a paying guest and paying extra for the privilege you should have an allocated shot .. Couldn’t understand that casual parking cost $15 and guests paid $20 ?????

Always great place to stay and have stayed multiple times. Great location, great staff.

Unfortunately we had to evacuate the building due to fire alarm on our check out morning, which was not a problem, but I was disappointed that I got call after that because we were running late by 10min on checkout. We left the room at 10:15.
