Staff was very friendly and helpful about giving directions to restaurants and the lake for the drone show.
We weren’t informed the room has a shared balcony and a bit surprised seeing other people walking past outside the room. It’s not a big issue but if I’d have known I’d chose not to have the room with a shared balcony. Also wasn’t aware of pets are allowed, which is also perfectly fine, but if I’d have known I’d ask my room not to be close to rooms that have dogs (which some have barked a bit in the night).

Breakfast was good. Bed very comfortable
Difficult access with the construction work next door. Also glad my room was on the side away from the construction.

It's a very funky hotel, with its own distinctive style to the decor, artworks, etc. That's the first thing you'll notice, but looking past that, it has everything you would expect from a city hotel, and all very well executed. Room was comfortable, clean, had every fitting you would expect. Didn't eat at the hotel restaurant this stay, but have in the past, and it was excellent. Hotel bar has a great cocktail list and friendly bartender.
Right now (May 2025), the part of Canberra directly outside the QT is an absolutely disaster area, due to ongoing construction work on the light rail. Not QT's fault, obviously, but it doesn't make for a great experience getting in or out. Luckily the hotel backs onto the New Acton precinct which is in good shape.

Good value for money and very clean. Breakfast was good and very reasonably priced when included in the room rate. Parking was easy with numberplate recognition. Online check out was a breeze.
Property is a little dated, certain fittings were in need of an upgrade or replacement (minibar cabinets, glass desk, wardrobe, air conditioning controls), one lift was out of order all four nights, there were no power points by the beds to charge devices, water pressure was very low. It didn't feel up up to the QT standard of Sydney or Auckland (where we've stayed previously and been very impressed) - this is probably reflected in the price, but I would pay more for a better-presented property.

Room was spacious and in good order; comfy beds and a great Nespresso type coffee machine. Breakfast included in the price was great too - such a money saver when travelling. Easy parking. Outdoor sunny area for casual lunch or drink. Lovely bar area. Great vibe.
Restaurant meals are quite pricey and should be top notch, however our meal was served cold - both the porcini sauce and the sirloin steak. Staff, who were lovely, seemed to be shirt staffed perhaps as a result of the 500 person ball being held the same night. Our entree did arrive hot (& was absolutely delicious), however it arrived with our mains… Breakfast the following morning was also delayed. The coffee arrived lukewarm and the poached eggs were cold. Luckily it was still yummy. Staff again were exceptionally professional & apologetic.

Staff Service was impeccable. Very attentive. Came to our room numerous times to amend minor issues as well as keep up with our needs. Albeit our bar fridge and bathroom fan was not working. The fact that they did everything to accommodate on a peak season 10pm at night there was an influx of guests and they still attended to us. Beyond words on Service. Of course a classy joint as far as decor and style is concerned. We usually aim for 5 star plus rating. We will def be back when in town! Ps great amenities, everyone's hair felt great. Hotel shampoos and conditioners don't usually leave your hair that soft. Beds and pillows felt like cloud sleeping. Great variety in the Minibar and snacks 👌🏽
The disrespectful guests next door who were smoking til 2am on the balcony which meant our room smelt. We had booked 2 suites.

The friendliness of staff, the bar, the space in the bedroom, very comfortable and large bed, facilities available in the wardrobe (even though we didn't need to use them).
There could be a choice of pillows to meet different preferences. There were plenty in the room, but they were all very big and too high for both my partner and I. We prefer pillows not so 'full'. This did cause some discomfort (neck strain) in sleeping. This is quite subjective and everyone is different, which is why it would be good to have a choice of different pillows. There was some event/party taking place on the night of our stay - not sure if that is normal. It affected the atmosphere in the bar which wasn't great. We didn't want to feel like we were in a nightclub. Events should be kept separate from normal hotel areas. Parking should be a free facility - adding $30 on to the stay feels like we've been taken advantage of.

A very central location to the CBD with a variety of restaurants and facilities within walking distance. Great views from Black Mountain to the lake from our room. The hotel has a great bar (although quite pricey) and dinner at the restaurant was excellent. The room was generally quiet although we did have an interconnecting door which did let noise from next door through. Overall QT is good value for money in a great location.
Breakfast seemed to have no-one monitoring for food running low - when we arrived there were literally no eggs, no sausages and no coffee, then a 15 minutes wait on pancakes. Once refreshed the food was good, but you simply can't have empty bain marie's for 15-20 minutes when you only have 5 offerings.

The staff were amazing and had so much knowledge about Canberra and where to go or what to do. The parking was great being able to go in and out as you please and decently priced. We were amazing at what a bargain the hotel was and how stylish and new the rooms were. The breakfast was a full size meal and drink which couldn’t be beaten with the waiters being very attentive. The conceit he went above and beyond to help us celebrate our engagement and we felt like we were being looked after in every aspect.
The only downside would maybe be the construction outside however it wasn’t loud at all and if you use the back entrance to the hotel really not an inconvenience at all

The location was perfect for what we needed. Lots of eateries within walking distance and the tram is only 15min walk away. All staff we came across were lovely and very helpful.
The bathroom was a little weird. The shower was on a raised bed, and water got everywhere. I also felt really cramped when sitting on the loo, I was 33 weeks pregnant and found it really uncomfortable to try and use the toilet. Sorry for the overshare. There was also mould on the walls and roof, which makes sense because the exhaust fans weren't operating at all. We left the door open to shower to lessen the moisture build-up in the bathroom.
