The retro decor, really nice staff, great art, and the location! Lovely to be on the ANU side of the lake, and walk into the galleries. The bed was really comfortable. Wifi worked well and the kitchen had what we needed

The bathroom is fairly translucent and with lights on, is reasonably see through, and not noise proof at all. You need to know the ones you are with very well, as there is no disguising practical use of the bathroom! I would add shading strips and sound proofing, even if it impacts the flow-through enviro air approach. Also, the bar closed quite early for guests

We travel to Canberra often to see our adult kids who live in College at ANU. This time we tried the Nishi Apartments and really liked them. The view was excellent - directly over Lake Burley Griffin and Parliament House. Best of all it was quite spacious which you don't get in the hotel rooms. We were able to have our son over for a while in the afternoon because of the space. We would stay here again.

The bar downstairs was closed when we arrived at 10.30pm after our event. Given it was a Saturday night and Floriade was on, we were expecting that it would be open later. A bit disappointing.

The location is great, close to the city centre and is walking distance from the train/bus station. The room itself was probably more than I needed for a short stay - there was a fully equipped kitchen with a stovetop, oven, microwave, pots and pans, plate and cutlery etc. The balcony view was gorgeous and I really loved the products in the bathroom, especially the shower gel. Also loved the selection of books in the room, and there's an even better selection in the lobby downstairs which has a cosy reading space!

I didn't like that the bed was so close to the door and corridor, but I really don't have significant complaints about the room and the hotel itself.

Cosy beds made all of us slept 20% time than at our home. Huge Balcony with great view (ours are mountain view), especially when it was sunny with Dine in room coffees from bar downstairs

Bathroom facilities a bit average even with blocking/leaking drains on the day we checked in Parking downstairs a little bit expensive (AUD25/day)

Staff friendly, helpful, attentive. Perfect location. Beautiful building, apartments are spacious, comfortable and have everything you need. Homely and clean. Always love staying here and will always look forward to returning whenever I visit Canberra

Sometimes can get a little too warm/stuffy in the rooms - need to air out in evenings especially in warmer/Summer months as there is no aircon. This is for more eco-friendliness though so I suppose it’s worth it! Very minor inconvenience

Friendly and welcoming reception and room provided everything we needed for our short stay including a very simple cooked and continental breakfast. There is a cinema downstairs so great if you want to catch a movie.

Parking is with Wilson’s. Don’t forget to pay as soon as you park out it could end up an expensive exercise. There is no air con in apartment which wasn’t an issue and could be opened up for air flow. There are ceiling fans in lounge and bedroom.

We loved the sustainability aspects, delicious vegetarian restaurant, location, view, and hip design! The bike rentals were a great perk as well.

We chose 2, 2-bedroom apartments for our family groups—however, the see-through bathroom without a lock made for some awkward family interactions. Also, the apartment furniture, while it looks cool, is not ideal for elderly people, who had a difficult time getting up from the couch.

Staff were super friendly. We received a personal note with a bottle of wine for our anniversary. All the front desk and restaurant staff were helpful and fun. The apartment was lovely. I had to work while I was there, and the internet and work space worked out very well, indeed. I recommend a room that's high up since the hotel is nearby a busy street.

The restaurant was not as excellent as reported. All the food was rich with no lighter options. I like gourmet food, but simple can be sublime, too.

lovely cosy lobby and felt safe and friendly for a woman traveling alone for work. Room was spacious and yet still cosy and functional. Comfortable bed and large bathsheets.

Hard to get staff attention to pay after eating!

Perfect location, central to everything we needed. Very quiet and private. Easy access to all of the attractions Canberra has to offer.

Only thing we didn't like was there was no instant coffee in the room, plunger coffee only. Not everyone likes plunger coffee.
