Outside and inside room have a very homely feel with mirrors, artwork, the brickwork, and plants; although, on closer inspection, these are all artificial. Stopped here over night, prebooked the same day due to the need to travel inland due to flooding in Taree, May 2025. Friendly, welcoming staff at the desk. I stayed in room 1.

There is a toaster, kettle, microwave, and fridge but only cups, glasses, teaspoons, no other crockery or cutlery to have toast. Fortunately, I was travelling with these items. Management might consider this feedback for the future. The bed was comfortable but pillows were not. The curtains are not blackout and I was awakened by the light at 4:30am and after a late night, with neighbours talking outside till around midnight. I was hoping to sleep till 8:00am, having a long drive ahead. The price of the room probably reflects the non-blackout curtains, the cheap pillows, thin towels, and windows that allow sound through.

The rooms are individual, unique, and attention to detail has gone into their design. We had the red room. The chairs were very comfortable, the room had clear areas for the bed, lounging, and dining, as well as a decent sized bathroom... even an old working phone. I would totally recommend this room for a romantic getaway. The lighting and decor is well designed.

There is so much going on in the room, it does feel a little squished in, however I wouldn't expect a change as it would ruin the effect they went for. It felt more like a getaway than a road trip motel stop.

From the moment we stepped out of our car and found our room, tucked away in a quiet little nook we knew we were in for something special. The room was quaintly decked out as if we were on a ship in the Titanic era. The chocolates placed on the towels on the bed were a nice touch and most appreciated later that night when I needed a sweet fix. We only stayed one night but will return and stay longer as I’d like to have the time to relax back in the lounge chairs and flick through one of the magazines which were so thoughtfully supplied for perusal. I would recommend this unique little motel to anyone who wants to check out the enchanting allure of Armidale and surrounds. Kind Regards, Dawn Head Rose

Excellent value, great location. Host Matt was quick to respond to my questions online and was most welcoming when we arrived. Our room was spacious and extremely clean. The room decor was charmingly eclectic. Extra touches like welcome chocolates and slippers were beyond expectations. We also loved the Who Gives A Crap toilet paper and tissues provided! Highly recommend. Will visit again!

Nothing. Perhaps a couple of plates, bowls and forks/knives/dessert spoons and some dishwashing liquid would be welcome - not a deal-breaker, though.

My wife & i stayed here on our way to Brisbane. I booked the room on my mobile phone & got a great rate. I picked this motel after reading the very good reviews (which we totally agree with). The owner was very welcoming at check-in, all the rooms are at ground level. The room was very clean with lots of nice little features, I won't go into details, you'll see what i mean when you get there. It's about a 10 minute walk into town which isn't to bad after a day of driving. The room is very well appointed & very comfortable. We had a cooked breakfast which was very tasty & a large serving. Worth the money in our opinion. Oh, & the bed sheets feel so soft, just like the sheets at home ! Double Oh, the motel has lovely gardens surrounding it which attract beautiful bird life in the morning.

Our mattress , whilst comfortable , was starting to sink in towards the middle. It was still comfortable but is heading towards replacement time.

Staff were very friendly @ check in. Great location & easy to find. The motel was off the main road so it was very quiet @ night. It is a budget motel but very clean & the bed was very comfortable. Great value & very affordable for an overnight stay when travelling. I loved the old world decor and the owners had thought of everything from the chockies on the bed to the ironing spray. Would stay here again when travelling through Armidale

Only negative was no plates or knives & forks if you want to self cater. Tea towel but no dish liquid.

felt like a time warp back to.the 70s, had a retirement home smell, half the lights didn't work, could hear every word from neighbouring rooms. room had a toaster, but no plates or cutlery. bedding, pillows & towels all need an upgrade & the rooms need to be brought into this era not the 70s grandma's house feel with red fabric curtains & a disability/aged vare cair in the bathroom, ditch the carpet on everything & less is more with the decor/fake flowers & umbrellas & vases.

Stopped here for one night. I really liked all the little touches like the chocolates on the bed, toothpaste kit, shaving kit and slippers. They went that bit extra to make the stay more comfortable. Quiet rooms, off the main roads and a short direct drive to the town centre. Matt the manager was very friendly and supplied me with a bowl so I can have cereal in the morning. I recommend this place. A very nice facility and the rooms done up really well with so many little added features including the art on the walls. More photos in my Google review.

Location was fairly convenient, not to far to eateries and supermarkets. Can recommend the bistro at the RSL. All the necessities were in the room and many that were extras.

The room seemed a bit cluttered with books and magazines spread in numerous places and perhaps some excess furniture. Some regular black tea (bags) or English Breakfast wouldn't go astray as I think Camomile and Earl Grey are ..... acquired tastes.

Immaculate exterior and interior. Reminded me of a chalet. Bedroom was perfect, bathroom clean with toiletries for my ease and comfort. Kettle and tea coffee, microwave and bar fridge so I didn't need to spend and eat out if I didn't want to. Air con worked well. TV was big. Ironing facilities were good. Very good value for money. Hot water for shower and very clean towels. Chocolates on my bed as a welcome. Matt was courteous, warm and welcoming.

Pillows need to be a lot firmer.
