The staff was amazing, also there were activities almost all days, You can use the Gym, ping pong or pool table. It is super well located, walk distance to highlight Byron bay places. In the 10 shared beed-room there was a confy balcony to chill.

The kitchen opens from 8:00AM to 22:00 to if you are an early/late person, you have to organize very well when taking out your food. Specially in the morning woul be better to have more flexible hours, specially for the cool room to get a sandwich :)

The hostel was nice, good vibes. The pool was really nice and looked very clean. I really enjoyed the dogs that were there they were well behaved😁 the place was very social and i enjoyed my time there. When i came to reception with a question becuase of a sudden rash they immediately did an extra check in the room i stayed in to make sure it was clean and there wasn't anything in there they would want to keep out😅 The restaurant right next to was also nice and you get a discount if you stay at the hostel which was cool

Something in one of the beds gave me a rash, i don't know if it was because of something i might be allergic to or something else. But they checked right away in the room i stayed at, so if you have sensitive skin that might not be the greatest. But that was the only thing i didnt like😅

We stayed in the 10 bed dorm, didn’t feel like 10 people as it was split over 2 floors. Amazing facilities with pool, laundry room, jukebox, table tennis, ps5 etc. Great outdoors space with lots of seating and sunbeds. Beautiful new restaurant next door too which you get 10% with. Hostel dog was very friendly and fun to play with by the pool. Also had free yoga and activities to join in with. Location is fantastic, very close to the beach. Very large communal kitchen too with lots of facilities.

One downside to this hostel was only having one bathroom per room so in the mornings and evenings it was very busy. WiFi didn’t quite reach the rooms but was strong in the communal areas.

Social hostel close to the center of Byron Bay. The kitchen is spacious, common areas are great, pool is lovely and the bar is amazing. I found the staff friendly and helpful. Rooms are specious. I was very happy that there was enough free parking space on the property.

The en-suite bathrooms could be cleaner and the beds are a bit shaky. But that is nothing different from other hostels.

Easy 10 minute walk from the greyhound bus stop and a lovely warm welcome from the reception staff. Easy to set up the app for e-key access and to leave luggage in the storage room until checkin. I got an email telling me when the room was ready and activating my ekey so I could just come back and get in straight away - simple! The location is lovely for getting about as well. You are a 5 minute walk away from the beach and a 2 minute walk away from the centre with all the lovely shops, brunch places and bars - including the amazing piano bar which is a must see when in town. The room itself was spacious, over 2 floors with lots of space for 8 people, including a bathroom and a little balcony. Regular bunk beds, metal frame but comfy with sockets nearby and communal light. There is a bar next door which is apparently associated with the hostel and you get a nice 10% discount (if I remember correctly) so that is nice for a treat but it isn't the cheapest place - food is amazing and is a nice, more upmarket experience. There are also happy hour drinks there which is great and lots of hostel people were found in there at that time. Overall, great experience from friendly staff, to cosy rooms and excellent location. Would recommend!

This exceeded expectations for a hostel. It was right in the city center and a 3 minute walk to a gorgeous beach. The location is unbeatable! The staff were super friendly and it had a huge communal kitchen and living space. I had a private room and found the beds to be comfy and loved that they provided warm comfy bedding and clean new white towel.

The shared bathroom and shower got a bit dirty and there were a few loud drunk people after quiet hours but not the fault of the hostel!

Brilliant location in Byron Bay, basically in the heart of the town and minutes away from all the bars, cafes and restaurants. Also not far from the lighthouse walk, and a five minute stroll to the beach. The ten bed dorms are a really good size, as are the bathroom areas, with good showers. The hostel is clean, with good facilities and lots of to do (pool, table tennis, swimming, etc). There is a kitchen and luggage room, although I didn't use these. Towels can be hired for a small deposit. The Rocks next door is also a nice cafe/bar, offering decent breakfast and evening meals.

The bathrooms could be a little cleaner, although that largely depends on your roommates rather than being a fault of the hostel's. There are no privacy curtains on the bed, and the lockers aren't big enough to hold a bag, only personal items.

Although more of a party hostel (I don't know that anything else exists in Australia), they do keep noise to a minimum after 10pm and I didn't have a problem to sleep. The room was quite clean and I found the beds quite comfortable. Outlets near every bed and lockers inside the rooms for convenience, and I was grateful for the present yet not freezing A/C on at night. It was a cute hotel, with lots of places to hang out and a nice bar. Plus, some free activities (I was grateful for free Friday morning yoga). I would def recommend for price/quality.

There could have been a bit more space in the rooms, and one bathroom for 10 people isn't enough (it was nice to have a bathroom in the room, but I did need to make use of the bathroom down the hall and at reception a few times). The kitchen wasn't as clean as it could have been--and that's probably on other guests but also on management.

The staff. Everyone was just so helpful. One night I received some bad news from home and asked if there was anywhere private I could go. The night manager that night let me use the communal areas for as long as I needed after they were closed to speak to family etc. I really was so grateful. We had a bit of an issue with some little bugs in the room but nothing major Quite hot to sleep

A very nice hostel, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Aquarius and would definitely return again and recommend to others. Staff friendly and helpful, willing to try to fulfil requests, giving off an atmosphere of friendliness around the hostel and even join in with karaoke etc, rooms are spacious and comfortable, and provide lockers. Bathroom within the room which was handy, beds comfy. Lots of common area space to use including a pool, some social evenings provided allowing to mix with others. Kitchen of a large size. Quiet at night. Location was good being right next to the beach and central to the town. A little walk from the bus interchange, around 15 mins but nothing too bad.

Could have the potential to provide more events for guests to socialise with space given.
