We had an amazing overnight stay, close to town and beach. Clean and tidy with an easy check-in and a great value stay. Will certainly book again for our next stay in Byron!!

Sylvie set the tone with her friendly welcome. Room was exactly what I needed and bed was great.

The coloured mirror above the sink was not very functional and reminded me of movies about hidden cameras, which put me a little on edge. Hot water was inconsistent and generally low in shower (not requiring any cold). A bowl and spoon would have been handy for cereal. Not particularly sound proof because I could hear next door’s conversation one night. I think the cost was more than the facilities provided and it was during winter.

I liked the location. Easy access to both the town and the beaches and lighthouse walk. I liked the room and the furnishings. Very comfortable bed and chairs and nice to have a patio with outside seating.. I liked the helpful receptionist and local tourist information.

Unfortunately there was a short power cut on the Saturday night which also seemed to be devoid of stars !! Didn't last long to be a problem. Just a shock as I was cleaning my teeth.! Also I lost reception on my phone a few times. Maybe as I'm with Vodaphone It would be interesting to know so I can better prepare for any future visits.

Small motel in an excellent location; 5 minute maximum walk into town but also to the beach. Quiet location despite its proximity to all of Byron Bay's key attractions. Staff were lovely and very keen to assist whenever possible. Certainly better value accommodation when compared with other options in Byron Bay. Room was clean and serviced regularly. A swimming pool a bonus.

This is an older building with some aging of facilities e.g. bathroom as one would expect. This did not detract from the cleanliness of the room.

The woman at reception is super helpful and nice! For example, she helped me select a spot to lock up the bike I rented. Also, after I had checked out of the room she let me keep my car parked there for a couple hours and I came back soaked in the rain. She initially offered me a towel to dry off. The room was great, clean, well-equipped, everything worked! The location is great, block from the beach, and from downtown Byron Bay!

It was pretty ideal, no complains!

Fantastic location close to everything. The beach, skatepark & shops/cafes/restaurants are all only a short stroll from the motel so you don't need your car for much once you're there. The double room we stayed in was a basic motel room which was clean & had a comfortable double bed along with a table & 2 chairs. Also has a wardrobe & enough space for your belongings. With only 2 of us, it was fine for our week long stay. Has a communal bbq & the pool area is nice & sunny to relax around.

A microwave might have been handy at times but other than that, everything was fine.

The motel was well located, an easy walk to beach and the Main Street. We very much enjoyed our stay and will book direct next time.

Booking.com without advising prior to charged my credit card in $ Australian from outside of Australia resulting in an international transaction fee additional to the credit card fee. Their customer service is incredibly difficult to contact and get a resolution.

Everything was absolutely spotless, and I loved the soft, plush towels! We only stayed one night in Byron, but I'm so glad it was at the Bay Beach Motel. Location can't be beat, and the room and facilities were excellent.

Something which couldn't be helped, unfortunately!! A large flock of very loud birds happened to love tge tree next to our room, which made sleeping difficult in the morning.

The property is all you want at this price points, it’s very clean, in a perfect location, relatively modern and the facilities are perfect. The lady at the front desk was really lovely and helpful, allowing us to leave our bags and keep our rented beach towels a little longer on our check out day. Would definitely recommend for anyone going to Byron that wanted no nonsense, basic but nice accommodation.

We ended my partners birthday week here for one evening and it was a great experience the entire time. We had never been to Byron before and the hostess was so welcoming and kind. The room itself was beautiful with nice carpeting, beautiful & dimly furnishing & nice toiletries. We were so impressed with the level of cleanliness at this hotel it was incredible. Everything was clean and tidy and we felt like we were at home away from home. There was even a Smart TV that we took advantage of & stayed in for a couple of hours watching our favourite show. We would have loved to have stayed longer as well. It’s in a great location and tops half of the hotels we have ever stayed at.

We loved all of what the motel had to offer.
