Lux Xperience. Feel the Byron vibe immediately from the Front Office Team so you can hit the beaches, streets, panoramic vistas running. Big incentive to wake up early to greet the sunrise on the walk to the Pass is on your return there are small warmed blueberry muffins, organic lady finger bananas laid on in the regal foyer. In the age of paid parking, hordes of GC day trippers and cafe overload definitely financially viable to land @ Waves - walk out the glass front into the day chilled

I very much liked the design and cleanliness of the property, the rooms were fantastic. Really lovely decor and flooring, I felt very relaxed here. Outdoor shower was cool.

Parking nose first can be a bit tricky when the bays were getting full. Perhaps the lift wasn’t working the pm I was staying, I couldn’t get up from the basement - I was confused as to how to be let in and if I was going to set any alarms off going up through fire exits. Minor inconvenience :)

We loved the location. It was an easy walk to the beach, restaurants, cafes and shops. Our room was spacious with a comfortable bed and a large bathroom with a lovely bath. The light breakfast of juice, muffins, fresh fruit along with tea and coffee was a bonus. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The property was clean and well maintained.

Every thing was excellent. The property was exactly as it claims to be.

Great place. Right near the beach but slightly set back from the busy area. They have beach chairs and umbrellas you can take to the beach. The rooms are very large and have everything you need. It’s an older hotel which has had some upgrades rather than a complete renovation but it’s Byron Bay and very in keeping with the local vibe.

Lovely staff. Easy access. Great location for beach and CBD. Large and comfortable room. Simple complimentary breakfast snacks in foyer were all we needed in the morning. Complimentary beach towels were handy, no wet towels of our own to pack when we left.

This is an old hotel undergoing some facelifts. Just not my taste for the money paid, though it was a good stay. Fairly basic facilities. Lighting was a bit dark, but electricians were putting in brighter lights while we were there so might be better now.

Location to everything was good. Went to see the sunrise early in the morning at the lighthouse. Staff told us it was a 40 minute walk, lucky we drove up as halfway up it was a very steep climb to the top. It would have taken a lot longer to walk up there and we would have missed it. The carparks were quite full so had to walk a bit of a distance anyway, which was fine. Need to allow plenty of time for parking/walking.

I didn't realise when I booked that it had no pool. It was very windy so would have just liked to take a quick swim in a pool when we got there, not the beach.

Everything was exceptional which included staff, service and facilities. Met the standard the advertisement set and the response time from online enquiries was excellent.

Only thing that was noticeable for my client was the lipping/coping at the bottom of the back screen door was a little high and made it a bit tricky for him to easily exit the room. But very very minor blemish that was easily worked around.

We loved Waves for its location - minutes away from the beach on one side and the bustling centre of Byron Bay on the other. Our large, tastefully done room was very comfortable. If we had to suggest an improvement, I would only say that a savoury option to go with the coffee (croissants maybe?) would have been nice

We regularly stay at Waves for short breaks as we like its location near the water and restaurants. This time we opted for the penthouse - more expensive than the other premium rooms as a treat. It's really well equipped and had lots of goodies if you wanted to stay in. The fit out is lovely and its very roomy. There are also 2 terraces. It has aircon in all the main areas so you can have a comfortable stay on the most humid of days. Big TV too.

Room was well appointed and attractively designed. Location was close to shops, restaurants and the beach so could park the car and walk to everywhere we wanted to go. The extras of morning muffins, fruit and coffee available was a welcoming and lovely extra.

The bed was reasonably comfortable but one side sagged and pillows could have been better. The bar fridge was not very cold.
