Restaurant was not open during our stay on Tuesday and Wednesday night.

Well located hotel on the main street of Kangaroo Valley, with an easy walk to all the shops and restaurants. Convenient underground parking with lift access to the rooms. The room was small, but clean and tidy with all necessary facilities. The complimentary snacks and wine were a lovey touch and appreciated! The breakfast was delicious.

Our room was directly opposite a pub, which was very noisy on the Saturday night , due to the annual petanque festival being held that day. The bed was comfortable and clean buth the mattress was soft.

Very good breakfast which was included in our rate. Beds were very comfortable.

We booked three rooms for our party of 8 family members. Two of our rooms were very good. The third room (no 25) was one equipped for guests with special needs (which we don't have) whereby the motorized bathroom door only worked as manual door which required more effort to open due to the mechanism. The bathroom shelf of that room was too small to hold all toiletries and there was a moldy spot on the bathroom ceiling. We would stay in this hotel again any time.

It's a great location right in the centre of the village even though our room faced the street which can be quite busy from early morning. The comfortable bed and good shower more than made up for it. The design of the hotel is excellent and cleverly planned and having underground parking with a lift was a bonus. The Appelles toiletries were excellent - very pampering.

We were there after the large rain event and roads were cut off heading for the coast. With some staff unable to come to work, this placed an understandable burden on the small number of staff who were having to take on tasks outside their usual jobs. They were still pleasant and courteous but the breakfast wait times were long. The only mistake was not letting the customers know what was happening. We were not the only ones inconvenienced by the delay and lack of information. At least we asked and it helped us rework our morning schedule. The following morning, maybe also as a result of the rains, there was no full cream milk at breakfast and the staff had to improvise to obtain a supply.

Erin, the manageress was extremely friendly and welcoming and the room was spacious and nicely decorated. Kangaroo Valley town is small and quiet, but an ideal base for exploring local attractions such as Fitzroy Falls and local Kayaking - would recommend kangaroo Valley Safari company for this. Jervis bay beaches about half an hour drive away.

The bar area and internal courtyard are beautiful, but more could be made of these in terms of availability to guests - for example the chef in the restaurant is Gordon Ramsey trained, but it is only open Thursday, Friday & Saturday. We had one meal on the Thursday of our stay and it was superb! The bar should be open in the evening to allow guests to enjoy the lovely seating area in the courtyard.

Beautiful view and close to the wedding venue that we attended for that weekend at the Kangaroo Valley Bush Retreat, breath of fresh air and stunning experience with nature what an amazing view all around.

Would be nice to grab something from a fast food store close by when returning back to accomodation from the wedding, closest Maccas was about 30mins plus to drive.

Wildes was an old establishment that someone had spent a fortune on and made it not only brand new, but beautiful. A lot of thought was put into the whole site as well as the lovely studio rooms. We had plenty of room and everything was perfect. Our room had a lovely little balcony looking out the back on local properties with lots of trees, there is also a lovely common area with a fountain and tables and chairs, so you can enjoy having dinner or drinks in either area. The pub accross the road has friendly staff and excellent food, better than the usual pub food. I had an excellent barramundi one night and a pumpkin salad another night. Kangaroo valley is very pretty and Wildes is a lovely place to stay.

A beautiful stay with Tuscany vibes. The rooms were well appointed and the ambience was perfect for what we were looking for. It was wet weather but it didn’t bother us.

The sofa bed was quite uncomfortable, so I would opt for a rollaway as an extra bedding option. We requested a later checkout which was kindly accommodated but the housekeeping still came at the earlier time, perhaps some miscommunication.

Huge room, beautifully decorated with facilities to make a light breakfast. Courtyard would have been beautiful to sit in and have breaky had the weather not been grey and drizzly! Perfect location to walk around town. Service was gold star. I had contacted the property ahead and asked for twin beds as I was with my mother, but when we arrived, we had been given a double. However, the owner was so accommodating that she went and made the bed up as twins herself! Very lovely.

Not being able to open the windows/back door. I understand that it's because that bushfires are a concern, I just get a bit claustrophobic with no air in a room while sleeping and not a fan of air con.
