This is a historic hotel so expect some of that old world "charm" (smaller rooms, basic facilities) Having said that, it was very clean and we appreciated the guest lounge and guest kitchen. The pub meal was great - good quality, not a ridiculous quantity and a reasonable price - and the lounge/bistro staff were fabulous. We were invited by some locals to join their Wednesday trivia team and we had a ball! We'd never been to Bundanoon but we will definitely be back with the hotel meeting our needs at a very competitive rate.

The hotel is right on the main train line and has heavy overnight traffic. We were surprised how little impact this had on our sleep, particularly with one light sleeper.

Location was good. Bar and restaurant staff were exceptional and vey friendly and helpful. Make a reservation for restaurant for a Friday or Saturday night as it gets really busy. Clean rooms, great size, ensuite bathroom was ideal. Request a quiet room towards car park side of property - not facing the railway track as trains run all night on weekends.

Given a room facing the railway track, near top of stairs (Maybe due to a last minute booking?). Had the coal trains run all night long so no sleep. Revellers from the bar walking up and down old wooden corridor - but this was expected when you stay at a pub. Great place to go with friends for a weekend away, not ideal for a romantic getaway. Could hear the guy snoring in the room next door. Not given the wifi code on check in - would have been helpful (but not essential) as still a good stay regardless.

Ample parking at the rear of the accommodation was fantastic , no stairs to carry bags up ! , my room was lovely and spacious , the bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in, shared bathroom facilities were modern and even had a wire basket to put wet towels in , guests had a lovely lounge & kitchen including fridge & microwave to use adjacent to the accommodation. Meals were great. I was pleasantly surprised and would recommend to others. It was a lovely quiet location. and the train station being just over the road is convenient and I barely noticed the train noise.

The room was over heated when I first arrived but I was able to open the window to let natural air in each day.

The history and the fact that it has been kept as pure as possible. The ambience, especially the guest lounge ♥️ The location - prime position to great cafes and shops. Restaurant food is incredible. Restaurant staff are the nicest people on the planet - they went above and beyond for everyone. Highly, HIGHLY, recommend.

I wouldn’t say “didn’t like” but by day 5 we thought there might have been one room clean/reset during that time. We had to go get our own TP.

For many years the Bundanoon Hotel has been my first choice when needing a brief "rest and recreation" getaway; now, following renovations a few years ago, it is better than ever. The lovely gardens, and the peace and quiet of a village without traffic noise are, for me, the primary attractions, and the hotel itself has the gracious atmosphere of a country house of yesteryear The hotel is right beside the railway station, so I can get off the train and be relaxing in my room within about two minutes. The proximity of the main south railway also a bonus for train enthusiasts (like myself!

Lovely building with 'olde charm'. The room was lovely, nice bedding, comfy bed. Nice new ensuite. A lot of original features. Tea and coffee making facilities. There was no tv in the room, which was nice for a change, to be honest. A lounge was just next door, which had a TV in it, but we didn't bother. But it was a nice room, with books and games in it too. The staff are great, very friendly and helpful. We had dinner in the restaurant downstairs both nights. Meals and service superb. Bar and bar lounge at other end was nice, again great staff. Great range of spirits, will make any cocktail you want. We were very happy with our stay. Perfect if you want to get away in a quaint little town, which is not too touristy! We will be back. We love it!

The room was great but I made a rooky error by booking one with a shared bathroom. Check this before you book as I did it in a hurry and the only other option was $70 more when I arrived and asked about options. Staff were very helpful and the room was lovely. The shared bathroom option was fine because I didn't see anyone else using it during my stay so it was really not a problem at all in the end. The halls were warmed by lovely wall heaters all the time so the dash to the loo in the night was quite pleasant. The food downstairs was AMAZING!! I had a fabulous veggie salad and it came with all sorts of wonderful creative mixtures to add taste to the veggies - one of the most delicious meals I have had on my travels and I have been on the road, mainly in my tent, for 4 months now. Location of the hotel is brill! Main street within a short walk but if you want to access the Morton NP you will need a vehicle of some sort unless you are a super keen hiker. The NP is something else - beautiful at this time of year and so worth a visit. Room was great with a huge and very comfy bed, side table, plenty of space for my small bag and a sink for teeth etc. View from my window was delightful too...thought I was in England for a moment. I really enjoyed my stay. Thanks so much for a great night.

I was there on a Saturday night and the music was very loud and clearly heard in my room but that is to be expected on a Saturday night and it was all done by 11pm.

This is an amazing historic hotel with incredible character. I stayed with 3 of my teenage/adult sons and we all loved the style and space. The linens were lovely, the beds were comfy. It was great value. We had a great meal at the bistro. I probably should have packed ear plugs as the trains were close but not enough to dampen the beautiful hotel experience. We will stay there again.

Traditional pub accommodation. Nice big room with quirky internal showroom. The bar food was pretty good and reasonably priced.

Unfortunately the night I spent there, the town had a power outage from 7pm till the next day so we woke to no electricity which meant no heating or hot water. Obviously not the fault of the hotel but I would have thought that they might have a generator as back up. Also there are some parts of the building that could do with a little TLC, it’s a really old building with some parts looking a little shabby.

The decor of our booked room was very pretty. Bathroom was very clean and the radiator worked perfectly as it was quite cold during our stay. We loved the little coffee/ tea bar included in our room too. The attached hotel restaurant and bar was PHENOMENAL. My partner and I ordered the lamb shoulder menu item for 2…holy crud, the best lamb roast we’ve ever had.
