An excellent value-for-money overnight stay for 2 people. Highly recommend for the following reasons: 1. Location is SUPERB. Absolute river-front units and lovely view. Can have cuppa and meals sitting looking at the river. 2. On-site Chinese restaurant. It had the best Mongolian Lamb I have had in years. Comprehensive menu selection. 3. Room service for breakfast and good choices. 4. Friendly staff at check-in and every encounter. 5. Rates very reasonable. 6. Comfortable bed and pillows and clean linen. Very warm doona. 7. First-rate hot-water for shower in the morning.

Nothing really put us off and we would stay here again. I expect some tire-kickers would comment that the rooms are dated (sure, likely built in 60s or 70s) and could do with a refurb. But overall, they are still comfortable and functional and fit for purpose. Clean and no dirt or mold. It is not the Hilton, but then you are not paying Hilton prices, either.

I tend to mostly stay here when I travel for work. The rooms are always clean, the bed is comfortable, and the view of the river with picnic tables to sit on is a nice relaxing treat. In summer, the pool is really refreshing. All the staff, that being reception, cleaning or restaurant are happy to please you. Also, the food in the restaurant is so flavoursome, it leaves you wanting more and more. The lights in the room were well positioned. Especially when working at the desk. Thank you.

Cheerful and helpful greeting on arrival. Small but clean and comfortable room. Lovely riverside location with pretty views, bird life and certainly lived up to the name with the just past full moon reflecting in the water while we waited for dinner in the on-site restaurant. Beautiful sunrise also.

Might benefit from some plates and cutlery to go with the toaster. May have missed if there was the opportunity to borrow a microwave oven but it would be great to have one in the room along with the appropriate crockery etc. After a long day driving, guests may not always wish to go out for dinner (even if an option is only steps away). There was quite a wait for our food in the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and hard-working however, the takeaway orders appeared to take priority over the dine in guests and being a little out of town, with no other in room facilities available beyond the toaster, guests logically end up in the restaurant and may expect quicker service.

Stayed in room 8 which had beautiful views of the river. Sat out there with a cup of tea relaxing. It was very humid and the breeze was most welcome. Very quiet, room clean, staff very helpful. Eventhough on a main road could not hear traffic. Chinese restaurant on site was doing a bit of business. Did not eat there as I was too tired from driving from Sydney. Good water pressure in shower, bed comfortable, slept well. Very close to Woolworths Supermarket for supplies.

The location was directly on the river which was great. Nice to look out onto this peaceful scene with ducks and wildlife. The bed was very comfortable and the size of the room was quite reasonable. Parking was easy. Location to town centre was OK as well. The food at the on site restaurant was excellent. The staff were very obliging and pleasant.

Other guests would smoke outside our room with the smoke coming back to us. Also other guests would sit on the tables outside our room which restricted our privacy.

The location is beautiful. Views are amazing. The rooms are clean and nice sized. Shops and city centre in close proximity.

The bed was way too soft to our liking. The fridge was turned off upon arrival and took around 30 minutes to cool. Not helpful on a 32 degree hot day. Also it was more of a wine chiller than an actual mini fridge, no freezer / ice options. The pool was “Closed for cleaning” for the entire duration of our stay ( C/in : 2 pm and C/out : 9 am next day)

Check that the internet in your room is working. If not, ask to be connected to the restaurant. We were disappointed the restaurant wasn't open, We arrived 1 hour before check in. I'd,say 98% of the rooms were empty but were told we'd have to pay $15/hour for early check in. Not very good customer service in my view. I can understand peak times. But really????

Rooms were as expected for 3 star motel. Dated but clean, fridge, air conditioning and comfortable which is all we needed for 1 night stayover. Nice calming location on the river and table and chairs to sit outside and look at the views. Restaurant had quite few people but we didn’t go inside. Supply of basic cups, saucers, kettle, toaster. Easy walk to shops

Front door needs a paint and carpet needs replacing as has rip in walkway in front of bed.

Perfect location, easy access and smooth check in. Loved the peacefulness of the river at our doorstep. The room was simple but clean and had everything we could need including biscuits for our morning coffee. Loved the numerous powerpoints and the restaurant on site was perfect for a nice meal after a long drive and not having to go to town for a meal. Will definitely stay again.

The location beside the river provided some lovely views, although our room did not actually overlook the river. We especially enjoyed our meal at the motel restaurant. The Chinese food was delicious and affordable. The room was basic, but clean and quiet.More than adequate for a one night stay while in transit to Sydney.

There was no toaster in the room as advertised. I could have requested one but we survived without it.
