The receptionist Bec is great - very welcoming and friendly. Gave us a very good ear plugs when I mentioned I am a light sleeper and they helped. The room/bed/shower/fridge were clean and the aircon/WiFi working perfectly. I had booked into another motel first but after reading the reviews immediately cancelled and booked at Red Cedar and did not regret it once, and it only turned out to be $20-30 extra compared to the first one.

1) We were lucky with the parking as there was no one next to us so arriving/leaving was easy, but in peak times I'd have struggled with parking for sure. It is very tight. 2) Not an issue but be mindful to let the hot water run for a bit in the morning (6:30am for me) as it takes some time for the hot water to come up the pipes if you happen to be up early.

Very friendly, helpful staff. Short walk to the Muswellbrook pool with indoor waterslide and outdoor Olympic pool. Central location, close to Workers Club, RSL, fast food restaurants and service stations.

Room was small, but we were only using it for sleeping. The road noise prevented us from sleeping with the window open to enjoy the cool breeze during the night, but the noise is unavoidable so close to the highway and the air conditioner worked fine.

I am another positive review for motel manager Bec! She was an absolute delight and so friendly and accomodating, couldn’t care less what the place is like when you have staff like her serving you, she really made our stay a pleasure.

Parking was a bit weird but we got used to it

Easy to access location, clean room with everything you need for a restful night- perfect stop in after a long work trip. Special shout out to Bec, I was in the area during some bad weather and she was extremely helpful and thoughtful assisting me navigate the area in dangerous conditions. Much appreciated 🙏👍🙏

Warm welcome and helpful local advice from manager Becks. Convenient location, with rooms set back from highway, so surprisingly quiet. Refurbished bathrooms/rooms spotlessly clean and well maintained; good quality towels and bed linen.

Slightly odd that allocated parking spaces (original section) aren’t in front of your own unit, but a minor inconvenience to an otherwise very pleasant stay.

Accessibility friendly . We had a ground floor room with easy access. Newly renovated bathroom. Easy parking. On the main road but very quiet. Very friendly lady on reception, who we loved having a chat with. Good local recommendations. She was so nice I have to say she made us very welcome !

location is great ,rooms are clean and staff are wonderful they give us a bigger room for the children,The manager is great ,The bathroom is better( than the five star hotel in Central Sydney we have stayed previously) we have the disabled room my husband is wheelchair bound he was able to move around the bathroom without difficulty we are very satisfied and we will stay again Highly Recommended 5 STARS!! and also price is great.

They could have a big reception area

Bec from reception was amazing. Helpful, friendly and very knowledgeable on recommendations on local activities, landmarks and places of interest. Apartments are a good size, dated but clean, quiet and close to the main hub of Muswellbrook. Thank you Bec

From the road Red Cedar Motel looks tired but our room was spotless and the bathroom was spacious and newly fitted out. It was quiet and no road noise to be heard.

The parking area would be tight if you were in a large vehicle if all the rooms were booked.

The manager goes above and beyond to help with any needs you may have she is absolutely wonderful and should be recognised for the outstanding job she does. There’s not many people out there these days never loose this wonderful woman 😊
