Beautifully modern, clean and spacious room, with an equally spacious bathroom. All the amenities you need for a stay. Fantastic location in Sydney, we hardly needed to use the train and walked everywhere - and it was easy enough to walk back to the hotel for a spell before heading out again. The furnishings are modern but there's still a really lovely, old classical style to the hotel given the building's heritage and this is particularly the case with its large lobby / lounge area on the ground floor. We loved spending time there and having breakfast from its nearby cafe, felt like a grand piece of scenery from a film. Spent some of an afternoon at the rooftop pool & bar area. Attended to kindly by the waiting staff and loved the chill atmosphere with the music and noticed a cool DJ was about to setup! We had to leave for a show though. All staff were incredibly professional, accommodating and friendly throughout the stay. We always felt looked after.

from moment walking in, staff attentive and friendly and so amazing helping with what we needed.. yummy refreshing drinks at the ready, and gorgeous lobby to unwind whilst wait for our friends.. Location so easy to get to, the room was super clean and gorgeous, didn't pay extra for bigger but didn't need more. As we only stayed one night Was just myself and my 12 year old daughter, we got 2 twin beds, they were pretty comfy, but on wheels so moved a bit.... but super comfy pillows and bedding..
lighting was a bit tricky, hard to work out how to just turn on lamp near bed, so you had to put ALL the lights on which was annoying as i got up early 6am and had to turn all lights on to see where i was going, luckly my daughter is heavy sleeper and didn't wake, but either a sign of how they work, or just a light for lamps by bed would have been better..

Huge room with excellent, very large bed. good quality bed linen and comfortable pillows. The bathroom was enormous with double sinks and a huge walk in shower as well as a bath - superb. The social hour from 5-6pm was a lovely and unexpected bonus. We met several fellow guests who we chatted to while appreciating the very good free wine and fizz! What a good idea - more hotels should do that. The location was superb, very close to a tram stop to Circular Quay and also to the train line, including the airport train. so very convenient. The staff were marvellous too, so helpful and friendly. We stayed for a whole week and would happily return.
Nothing at all! everything was splendid.

Loved the decor and vibe. Great common area. Good big breakfast choices. Room was large and comfy and the Bathroom/ shower was Exceptional! 7th floor outdoor area is very nice. Loved the happy hour wine offering. ( perhaps add some popcorn snack or crackers/ crisps) Staff was lovely all around in every position. Great service.
There is no view from windows in rooms and little natural light comes into rooms or dining/ reception. So it feels a bit dark but the decor and lighting is very nice. The dining menu seemed very limited and did not appeal to us. I would say the food was mediocre/ good quality and there were not many choices for in room dining. Sunday night we had to do this again due to no dining room open on main floor.

Very nice location, beautiful and huge space rooms. Very elegant and well designed lobby, high ceiling guest rooms and very comfortable
Lighting control is very strange, make the lighting designer sleep for a night! Once you turn off the lights to sleep, you cannot individually operate the bedside table lamp. Had to walk in the dark or turn on room light at mid of the night to toilets. The desk lamp, bedside table lamp should be designed able to operate individually. Room224 all lights seems in power saving mode, turned off automatically while people still in the room and one bedside table lamp not working. Over 4 nights stay the carpet did not get vacuumed

the hotel itself is very nice, in a very good location, very accessible. The rooms are immaculately clean, the beds are very comfortable. Breakfast is very nice too. The staff are very friendly and attentive to the needs of guests. There was just one incident at New Year's eve when there was a system failure and the room keys in all the rooms did not work. But the staff, though undermanned worked double time to make sure that guests are accompanied to the rooms with the master key so we can enter our respective rooms. We saw that the staff really stepped up to the situation and we did not really mind the inconvenience. The keys were working already by the next morning.

As a second time that I went to Sydney, I chose your hotel because it is very impressive for the the rooms and services. If we go to Sydney again, Kimpton Margot will be the first hotel I will choose.
During my stay, I encountered one inconvenience: the bedside lamps in my room are connected to the ceiling lights. As a result, I was unable to turn on just one lamp—both would either turn on or off simultaneously. I tried several times to figure out because I remember that it worked the last time when I have been at the hotel. While this didn’t ruin my stay, it was an unexpected hassle that I hope can be resolved for future guests.

Super comfy bed and couch, great sized room and bathroom. Very clean, and well set up with all the expected amenities, including a yoga mat which we appreciated. The gym and yoga studio are also open 24hrs which is great. Wonderful little touches like spa water at the reception, a morning tea trolley and an afternoon social hour. The location is very central and easy to explore Sydney by public transport. Sadly did not get to use the rooftop as the weather wasn't great, but maybe next time!
Blackout curtains would've been nice. Light sleepers - you are in the city so there is some street noise. It's very manageable with earplugs but still something to note. Staff are overall pretty good if a little inconsistent at times especially at reception - some were very friendly and enthusiastic, others less so.

They seems to have opted out of the Sydney Harbour views arms race and instead offer high-ceilinged rooms and lots of small, pretty details.
The rooftop pool never seemed to be open, but biggest complaint was probably the lobby smell. They use a very strong perfume scent and it's way too much. It's like snorting potpourri. I found it impossible to drink a wine/coffee in the central area of the lobby because the scent was so overpowering. It also made me wonder if it was deployed to mask something foul smelling.

Beautiful place and Location! There is a metro station, within a minute and the tram passes half a block from it, so it was very easy to get to Circular Quay, less than 10min, where we spend most of the time, (Sydney Opera, Ferry, The Rocks…) They were also very kind to allow us to check in earlier since our flight arrive in the morning
