November 2024
This was a well located, clean and comfy hotel. I was at the ICC for an event all week and it was an easy 10-15 min walk for this during the day and the hotel was close to lots of restaurants for the evening. Also fairly close to the train station so easy to get there from the airport. The room was a good size and had useful features for a business traveller like a good desk and table. I liked the small table and chairs on the balcony for a pleasant place to have breakfast before starting the day
Room didn't have a don't disturb sign in it... I'm sure I could have asked for one so not really a big deal. I don't normally bother getting my room cleaned every day if I'm staying for a week and I normally use the don't distrub/clean sign to achieve that so that's the only reason this was a minor negative.

Great location and value for money. Our room was spacious clean. Nothing luxurious but good for the amount we paid. Check in staff were helpful and prompt.
I wish they would have stated their parking policy more explicitly. I could not find any info while booking so assumed they did not provide any parking and booked a spot in a garage that was quite far from the hotel. Turns out they have a garage just under the hotel that can be booked by guests at a much better rate and more flexible terms. It would be great if they could offer parking as part of the booking or at least say that it can be booked by calling the hotel. Would have made for a much more convenient stay.

Room was excellent clean and comfortable Room no 208?? Reception was very helpful and polite. Walking distance to all we needed close to light rail. In a good position with tree lined streets and good cafe and restaurants close by. We were able and happy to walk from Railway station and then from China Town. It could be a little difficult for people who are elderly and unfit as there are some steps and a short hill to walk up. Would only be a short trip in a cab from Central Station. Will certainly stay there again.

- Room was super spacious, the balcony was also huge and comfortable with excellent neighbourhood view. - Toilet facilities was a bit old but overall clean. - I love the quiet neighbourhood, but it did required ~10mins walk to the heart of China town where you can talk light rail to CBD, so you may want to take that into account. - staff was nice and very willing to give suggestions and help solve your problems
A little bit sidetracked, but its about the online security system. The hotel online system was hacked and sent out spam email to customers via booking.com app on behalf of the hotel, luckily no important personal details was lost. I am not sure if this is the problem of booking.com / hotel, anyway it was quite a serious problem, I hope no one will have to experience this in the future.

I had a fantastic stay at the Metro Aspire Hotel in Sydney. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the hotel was spotlessly clean. My room was spacious, elegantly decorated with modern touches, and I absolutely loved the private balcony — it was a perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. The hotel is located in a quiet residential area, which made my stay peaceful. For the quality and value offered, this hotel exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended!

The location was walking distance to Darling Harbor, the Fish Market and Public Transportation. There was a nice greenspace next to the hotel. The rooms and bed were very comfortable. Price was very good.
Staff was professional but not as friendly or helpful as other places we stayed. Ex: I left my phone in the taxi when we were dropped off at the Sydney airport. Hotel had arranged taxi so I called hotel (from my wife's phone) and asked them to help me contact the taxi company. I was in a panic but they said they could not call for me. Instead, they gave me a 5 digit phone number to call. I told them I was using my American phone and there should be more prefix numbers but they assured me it would work to dial the 5 numbers. It did not. I tried the prefix numbers for the hotel but that did not work either. The experience left me very frustrated with the hotel. I was able to retrieve my phone when I flew back to Sydney 5 days later.

Location, room, space at lobby and beside the restaurant (to take work-related calls). Lots of closet space. Main bed was very comfy. Kettle & little fridge came in handy. We liked the short walk to Paddy's Market & the Light Rail station, through MacArthur Street.
The sofa-cum-bed had springs, inadequate cushioning and not very comfy for the third person. Balcony was not clean and cleaning it was skipped on the first day of housekeeping.

The hotel and room looked exactly as described and seen on the photos. The staff were extremely friendly, the room and reception areas were perfectly clean. The bed was very comfortable. The location of the hotel was close to the center in a quiet street. It was a bit difficult to find the place, as even with a map it was not easy to find the way. A taxi brought me there, but after I had arrived, I had no problem to go to all the places in the city.

The staff are very helpful and friendly. The location is great as it is close to Broadway Shopping mall. The place is very peaceful and away from the busy, noisy city feeling.
Surprise to be asked to pay for $100 deposit on our arrival since all of our 5-day stay is already paid. Until now, almost one month since we left and we have not receive the $100.deposit back. Reception said it will be credited back to us. Since we only sleep there (going away every morning and returning late at night), we would be happy if you can follow up the return of our deposit (as promised to us).

Friendly staff, clean and an ideal position - quiet but with very easy reach to public transport - this is my third visit and would Def stay here again !
Walls are thin so can hear next door if they are very slightly noisy - very poor light pillows -
