Basic but friendly, clean, and comfortable. Excellent location just a few minutes from Darling Harbor and Chinatown . I have read many reviews for this place. I’m quite frankly the negative reviews were from people who stayed in 40 story places with identical rooms and bad art on the walls if you want a really cool experience this is the place. Check in was quick and friendly. The pub is clean and well stocked. The pub kitchen was outstanding. This is my new landing place for Sydney.

The air condition worked, but it could be a little stronger.

Security was excellent, traffic noise could be a negative for some, not us. My husband was able to get plenty of toast and spreads for his breakfast. Basic cereals were in good supply. Milk was fresh. Bed was roomy and comfortable.

I had to exit the property after check-in to get food as I am coeliac. We arrived after the kitchen shut down so we had to wait until morning to access some protein. Aircon struggled to keep us cool but the ceiling fan worked fine. Shower recess was dated and a bit mouldy in the corners.

A great location close to the Light Rail and to the Darling Quarter facilities. The room was spacious and beds comfortable. It was great to have a clothing rack in the room so I could easily unpack my luggage. The pub downstairs serves good food at great prices with enticing entertainment.

I did not realise that I would not have a kitchenette in my room and I had brought items needing a fridge. I used the communal fridge but was not able to monitor my items and when I could see they had moved I threw them away just in case.

I chose this hotel for its proximity to the ICC, where I had an exhibition. The food and drinks at the pub below are absolutely fantastic. The staffs are helpful and kind - as one of them helped me to book the silver taxi for my early morning flight back to Bali, really appreciate it, mate!

There is no lift on the premises, so extra effort is required if you have a large suitcase like mine. But it was fine with me

Absolutely fantastic 1 night stay. Erin was incredible - top notch and we will stay here again when we come back to Sydney. We will also recommend to all our Country Victoria friends. Bed linen was immaculate and the meals delicious. The lovely curly hair chap that lugged our suitcases could not have been more helpful or obliging. Thank you Erin, your warm smile and helpful nature was super impressive.

Absolutely nothing!

Great location, friendly staff and comfortable bed. 24 hr convenience store across the road. Food and drinks downstairs are well priced and yummy.

So close to getting accommodation right. Just a few small details and it could be perfect - power cords hanging from the TV, chipped tile, mold on shower curtain. Karaoke nights might be louder for some but it doesn’t bother me. Even with these things I still always choose to stay here when in town for business as it’s so handy and staff are great.

Great room in the back of pub, awesome staff/service. shower had great pressure. Great local, walking distance to water taxi/downtown/chinatown. Would stay here again.

Wifi was great in the pub, but in the room I may have been too far from router for it to work properly. Could be a little noisy on weekends/game nights, but its expected staying in a pub Inn is all about. Not loud enough to keep me away

breakfast: N/A. Location (for us): excellent. Food in pub / restaurant: very good. (pizza and salad). Beer: (don't drink!). another benefit: quiet at night. (very little city noise).

1) more important: not enough accessible electrical outlets. (had to use the outlet for table lamp). 2) less important: sink faucet too large for the sink. (when you need to replace it, install a smaller one).

Not a lot It takes two trams to get into town which is a pain But you get used to it so it's no big deal

Staff were wonderful and friendly. Incredibly helpful when we forgot our keys. Very competitive pricing, great location and easily accessible walking distance to many local exhibition halls and cafes. Slept well on comfortable and clean bed. Not even bothered by any bar noise. Would stay again next time when returning to Sydney. The split system aircon in the room was an absolute blessing for someone like myself who gets overheated very quickly.

Another small bin in the main area rather than a tiny bin in the bathroom. Lowering the pull cord for the blinds on the right hand side in Room 1 so short people like myself can pull them down. The shutters allow a fair bit of light in that hits you right in the face early morning.
