Nice room - good facilities. Room was clean and tidy. I liked the bath and shower and the bed was comfortable.

lights were confusing and didnt seem to work as planned - trying to have the reading lights off with the other lights on didnt work so had dark or lights shining in my eyes. Not major but did irritate me.

Honestly this was the best hotel I’d ever stayed at. It was our first trip away with our one year old daughter and we had the best stay at the Sofitel. The room was super clean, our baby slept well in the crib, our bed was extremely comfortable and we loved that we got a robe to relax in!! We felt very fancy and really well looked after. I’m a bit of a clean freak and have felt uncomfortable in other hotels where I haven’t wanted to shower or sit on the lounge but our room at the Sofitel exceeded my cleaning expectations so I was able to relax and enjoy!! The best feeling!!!

I had a room overlooking Darling Harbour, and some of the Vivid Festival installations. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed very comfortable. I stayed here to attend a conference. I ordered room service twice - well prepared food delivered in a timely manner.

Checking in took nearly 20 minutes, clearly not enough staff at the check in desk. The buffet breakfast did not have gluten free food clearly marked. I asked where the gluten-free bread was, and the staff member directed me to the regular bread, and assured me it was gluten-free. The water for the tea wasn't hot. A staff member organised a pot of tea for me - it took 10 minutes to arrive at my table.

Great views, good location, swimming pool, courteous staff, cleanliness, good buffet breakfast, good dining options.

Pool temperature was a little cold given weather was overcast with strong wind. BR fridge was not working and not fixed during our stay. No cold drinks and could not eat yoghurt we put in fridge as it became room temperature overnight. We did report it. Multiple communication calling me Mr when I clearly stated I am female, I have a female name, and I am a biological female my entire life. It may be an innocent mistake, but it felt like a sexist assumption about who books and pays for holidays.

What we found really average is the food in the restaurant The portion is soooooo tiny We noticed all the other people looking at the portion with sad face My main meal was fish with zucchini It came small piece of fish no taste 2 tiiiiny slices of zucchini Onestlly wast nice at all My daughter ordered eggplant dish The colour of the meal was pale shade of grey Again no taste We found only the piece of bread and fries worth the money Staff very nice The location and view very nice But the food was very poor Hope you take this into consideration Otherwise everything else was excellent

The amazing view of Darling Harbour would recommend the luxury corner room with a king bed with darling harbour view during less busy season as you will get it priced so well. The bed and pillows were amazing. We slept so well. The shower was good and strong with 2 choices of rain head and hand held. The bath was exceptional, adding a touch of the flowers and bath salts. Honestly, it was so relaxing. Beautiful nighttime city shot of darling harbour, The Sofitels concierge team was so wonderful and helpful with the room setup packages, and they really did an amazing job with the setup. PS The flower bouquet was not on the bed. we moved it there for the photo. Wonderful experience, to say the least.

No toothbrush provided in the room, for a 5 star hotel and what i paid, I would've expected that, but besides that, nothing else.

I honestly loved our stay, usually we dont stay in our room much but we did this time. The chrome cast is an awesome add-on! Everyone that we came across that worked for sofitel was lovely and acknowledging. The breakfast was amazing, 10 out of 10!

Sad to see that there's construction going on infront of the infinity pool, hopefully it doesn't take away the view once finished being built.

Best thing about this hotel is the location. Darling harbour is right at your door step. Nothing else you need. To travel around, there are Light rail and Metro system and you only need a credit card to travel. No need to buy the Opal or any other travel card. Even the ferry to go across the harbour from Opera House to Taronga Zoo, all you need is a credit card. Touch on, touch off. That's it. So easy! Room has good space, good bed, stunning view from your window. Everything here is very comfortable. Great staff service.

Only a minor negative. The control system for lighting seems to be a bit over complicated, a bit to high tech. Also the lighting in front of the big window needs a be brighter to let the ladies do their make up. They need to see all the details. Yes, there is a make-up magnifying mirror in the bathroom, but I feel lighting at the entrance can be a bit brighter.

Atellier Restaurant food and service were great. Lumiere had a breathtaking view. Fireworks were amazing. You should create a Spotify playlist through the Fireworks company that all the venues in Darling Harbour could play that synchronises with the 9 pm fireworks, ie, like NYE. Music in the venue didn’t enhance the fireworks. Breakfast via room service was beautiful. Room was really clean and a lovely bathroom. Your wait staff were amazing.

I had a Baileys on ice. Hardly any Baileys in the glass. Cocktails in the Champagne Bar were a tad small for the price. Windows to the view of Darling Harbour were filthy due to the construction site from the Champagne Bar which detracted from the venue. The downstairs bar near reception lacked personality . Needs soft classical or popular smooth pop pulse contemporary music in the background. Needs table waiters to give the area personality. Bags took 2 hours after our arrival to be delivered to our room. I struggled to understand your people that answered the phone on three separate occasions.

The view from the window was lovely. The fireworks were so close we could almost touch them. I loved the daybed against the window. The bed was so comfortable. It was a clean room and you could not hear noise from outside like people or banging doors. Nice and quiet.

I could not see the value for money. I expected more complementary things for the huge one night price tag. I didn’t like the toilet set up. It felt like a public toilet stall. My lamp next to the bed did not work.
