The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean and the staff were excellent

I had a harbour view room but unfortunately with the construction going on in front of the hotel there wasn’t much to see of the harbour from our fourth floor

The location is great on Darling Harbour. Easy to walk into the city, or to use the nearby light rail or ferry to get around. My room was clean and well kept by friendly housekeeping staff.

As a solo traveller, I had mixed experiences at breakfast and at dinner at the restaurant. At breakfast I had my ‘reserved’ table cleared by over-efficient staff while I was actually just getting more from the buffet. This was annoying! I also went for dinner one evening alone, and I was sat at the grill stools. The front of house staff did not ask if I was ok with sitting on a stool, or whether I was OK with the chef preparing large amounts of meat in front of me on the grill. It made me uncomfortable sitting there to be honest. The front of house staff was not friendly or approachable.

A great location with easy access to light rail and a short walk to the centre of Darling Harbour, ferries etc. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and every encounter with staff at the hotel was positive and helpful. Our room was warm, clean, comfortable and quiet. The restaurant was excellent, and we loved the extensive range of breakfast options. The whole hotel has a warm, friendly vibe and lovely decor. Very reasonable price for such a lovely stay.

The outdoor pool and tennis court were in need of an upgrade. The pool was unheated so we were unable to use it, however, I'm sure it would be fine in summer time. It would be great to see bath robes and slippers placed in the rooms to make it extra comfortable.

The breakfast spread was amazing, staff very helpful.

We had no hot water however we’re offered to change rooms but it was 10pm and too late to pack all our things up. The hotel didn’t charge for our upgrade as gratuity.

Executive room was clean, spacious and facing the harbour. Food was great, but the breakfast was better at the Novotel (Canberra) which we recently stayed at a day before Sydney. The physical hotel in Sydney ws better than the one in Canberra...and because we went from one to the other...we had a really good opportunity directly compare the two (Novotels) on everything from checking in to checking out. Would be good to do the same across the rest of the chain...

The construction work / buildings / apartments which will cover up the view of the harbour when finished. Novotel will no longer be able to claim a great view of the harbour. I did see something no-one ever wants to see...and that is cockroach in the dining area floor which was quickly moved away by a staff member whilst attending to customers. I'm sure the hotel regularly clean and this was unexpected.

I had a wonderful stay! The ambience was warm and inviting, and the room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The facilities were excellent, and the breakfast buffet was absolutely amazing – a great variety of fresh, delicious options to start the day right. A special mention to the staff – they were friendly, professional, and genuinely attentive. I especially appreciated the thoughtful gesture from the receptionist who remembered I mentioned it was my birthday the next day and surprised me with a bottle of wine. That personal touch made my stay feel extra special. Highly recommended!

We had such a wonderful experience at this hotel! Everything exceeded our expectations. The room was cleaned daily with great attention to detail. Staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. There was a dedicated kids' area which was a huge bonus for our little ones, and the hotel even screened kids’ movies during Easter – such a thoughtful touch! The breakfast buffet had plenty of variety and kept everyone happy, and the location was perfect — just a short walk to Darling Harbour. To top it all off, we were surprised with complimentary wines for our anniversary, which made our stay even more special. Fast and easy check-out was the cherry on top. Also, my daughter and I absolutely loved the shampoo they provided — it was amazing! I even searched for it after we got home, but sadly couldn’t find it anywhere. Highly recommend this hotel!

The views of Darling Harbour and the city nightscape were worth paying a little extra for this country family. While there was a construction site alongside, we did not hear any noise and the cranes made interesting viewing. Our family including two teenagers all loved the magnificent breakfasts. We also were grateful to have the convenience of dining at the bar before going to see a show in a nearby theatre. Great location within walking distance of Darling Harbour restaurants, ferry wharves and light rail, the National Maritime Museum (a great nearby destination on a blistering hot day!), the Sydney Lyric Theatre and the CBD including the Strand Arcade and the Queen Victoria Building. We booked in advance to park at the nearby Wilson Parking. It was convenient to buy Opal cards for the public transport and basic groceries at the small store opposite

The location was perfect. Very easy to get around with the light rail just outside, the room was very comfortable and we loved the block out blinds. The food was great and the staff were all wonderful.

Everything closed at 10:00pm so we couldn’t get a drink or even water, such a lovely bar and lounge area, but closed on a Saturday night at 10:00pm was very disappointing, as we had been to a show and thought that we would go back to the hotel for a nitecap. We weren’t the only people that were disappointed, there were lots of others that said the same thing and there is no where else close by to go to.

I had a wonderful room with balcony access . The only downside was that I went to sit at the table and chairs on the balcony and the table top( I’m guessing the chairs too) were filthy . I only noticed because I spilled my coffee so wiped it up and the cloth was black. The table didn’t look dirty but it was .
