The breakfast spread was amazing, staff very helpful.

We had no hot water however we’re offered to change rooms but it was 10pm and too late to pack all our things up. The hotel didn’t charge for our upgrade as gratuity.

We had such a wonderful experience at this hotel! Everything exceeded our expectations. The room was cleaned daily with great attention to detail. Staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. There was a dedicated kids' area which was a huge bonus for our little ones, and the hotel even screened kids’ movies during Easter – such a thoughtful touch! The breakfast buffet had plenty of variety and kept everyone happy, and the location was perfect — just a short walk to Darling Harbour. To top it all off, we were surprised with complimentary wines for our anniversary, which made our stay even more special. Fast and easy check-out was the cherry on top. Also, my daughter and I absolutely loved the shampoo they provided — it was amazing! I even searched for it after we got home, but sadly couldn’t find it anywhere. Highly recommend this hotel!

The views of Darling Harbour and the city nightscape were worth paying a little extra for this country family. While there was a construction site alongside, we did not hear any noise and the cranes made interesting viewing. Our family including two teenagers all loved the magnificent breakfasts. We also were grateful to have the convenience of dining at the bar before going to see a show in a nearby theatre. Great location within walking distance of Darling Harbour restaurants, ferry wharves and light rail, the National Maritime Museum (a great nearby destination on a blistering hot day!), the Sydney Lyric Theatre and the CBD including the Strand Arcade and the Queen Victoria Building. We booked in advance to park at the nearby Wilson Parking. It was convenient to buy Opal cards for the public transport and basic groceries at the small store opposite

I genuinely could not recommend this hotel enough - we had an amazing stay here! The hotel staff were absolutely incredible - we were lucky enough to be greeted upon check-in with a room upgrade, drinks vouchers for the hotel bar, and a late check-out all being added to our stay free of charge. The room was beautifully clean and the beds were so comfortable, not to mention the incredible and central location right on Darling Harbour. I am so impressed with Novotel Darling Harbour, and I will absolutely be staying here again in the future.

We felt that the price charged to park onsite at the hotel was quite expensive, so we instead chose to park our car in a nearby parking garage.

The location was perfect. Very easy to get around with the light rail just outside, the room was very comfortable and we loved the block out blinds. The food was great and the staff were all wonderful.

Everything closed at 10:00pm so we couldn’t get a drink or even water, such a lovely bar and lounge area, but closed on a Saturday night at 10:00pm was very disappointing, as we had been to a show and thought that we would go back to the hotel for a nitecap. We weren’t the only people that were disappointed, there were lots of others that said the same thing and there is no where else close by to go to.

We were greeted by the lady at the check in desk and she was friendly and nice. Another gentleman from the check in desk was super friendly and wished us a happy Chinese New Year and offered us fortune cookies and had a chat, asking what we were in town for. He also said we could ask the concierge downstairs for any events that will be on for Chinese NY. He was really helpful, friendly and made us feel welcome. Much appreciated as we had not stayed with you before. We were in room 363 and it was very comfortable and quiet. (We have stayed elsewhere in the city and found the accommodation noisy for sleeping with lift noise and other room noise. We are from the country and used to the quiet nights). Beds were dreamy comfortable too. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was delicious and a good menu variety for families.

The view from our room was wonderful. It was harbour view. Plus the beds were very comfortable.

A lot of people including us were having trouble with the elevators and trying get up to our floors. People were frustrated as the key would not work when it was tapped and therefore could not activate their floor on time so their floor was missed altogether. Plus the bathroom in our room could be a little cleaner. The floors in there were dusty and had hair all over. Maybe some renovations would be due for the bathrooms. The bath was all scraped up with marks. The whole bathroom just looked old and run down with little fruit flies stuck the ceiling of bath/shower. The bathroom not match the rest of the room aesthetic and cleanliness.

Location was fabulous!! Easy walking distance to aquarium and plenty of food options. Restaurant food was delicious. Kids meals were great value and our girls loved the options!! All the staff were lovely and helpful.

The room was clean, beds were comfy and it was spacious enough. Bathrooms are getting a little outdated and bit of wear and tear.. I paid for an upgrade for a harbour view which was good as we could see the fireworks on Saturday night but it wasn’t overly spectacular otherwise, I probably wouldn’t have spent the extra if I’d known.

The staff were exceptional. Special mention to Anna and the team at reception who assisted us during a very busy pre Christmas check in and double checking our room was ready for us. There was a slight delay which they were very apologetic about, however with the amount of guest that were arriving at the time, it was handled effortlessly and with a smile. The hand written note and chocolate we found from her in our room upon our return from sight seeing made everyone's day especially our younger daughter. the note has found it's way to being kept by her as a memento. Location was perfect for what we wanted to achieve that afternoon with the limited time we had in town. Highly recommend dinner in the on site restaurant. The food was amazing.

A Queen bed and single rather than two doubles would have made it more comfortable but we work around it and all had a great nights sleep.

We stayed in the executive rooms which were very good in size, facing the harbour. With the two rooms connected for family it was very convenient. Location was close to the Darling Harbour and the L1 (light rail), although it requires a strange walk through dimly lit car park down a small elevator. The IGA in front of the hotel entrance has everything you need including Opal recharging. Rooms were cleaned each day although minor the bins were not emptied daily.

Breakfast buffet was good and substantial with kids free for accompanying adult. Althought if you go after 8.30am the place was packed with no seat. Each person gets to have a complimentary barista coffee although you have to ask yourself.
