This place is perfect for a weekend in the city as it has a great location and high quality food and drinks. Tricky getting there while driving but the Wilson car park was only a 7 minute walk away, and it’s a short walk to darling harbour. The rooms themselves are aesthetically pleasing, comfortable, clean and have really good air con. I especially loved that they have a sink in the rooms for convenience considering the bathrooms were communal, but as communal bathrooms go, these ones were exceptionally clean and comfortable.
As for noise, a midday nap is not ideal if you’re sleeping on the restaurant side but I can’t complain as it gives a lively feel to the atmosphere. Luckily the restaurant noise is gone by night time but a little more sound proofing indoors would be good as we could hear people going in and out of their rooms at night.

The property is clean and well presented. Staff were very friendly! Discounts at the restaurant and cafe down the road were a bonus and they both had amazing food. Even though the bathrooms are shared there is a light system in each room telling you when the bathrooms are available which is helpful, and you get a whole bathroom to yourself when you use it, rather than a room of shared cubicles. Location was great with bus stops right outside the door and a lovely short stroll to Darling Harbour. Free tea and coffee station in hallway was also a nice treat! Would definitely stay here again

We booked this hotel as it was a 6-minute walk to Casino Wharf where we boarded a cruise to see Vivid 2024 Light and Drone show. We were surprised with the modern and clean bedroom and shared bathroom. It was a cosy bedroom. We could hear noises on the road after midnight, but probably we were too tired, and it didn't bother us. BTW, they do provide ear plugs for people who need it. The staff that checked us in was a nice guy. We highly recommend this hotel and would return to stay when we visit Sydney again. We didn't get a chance to dine in the pub or a cafe although they provide discounts for hotel guests due to time constraints. Parking is not provided. We parked at Wilson Harbourside about 900m walk away. We booked online, and it was $30 per day per entry. If you need multi-entry, you book on a daily basis. Secure Parking Harris Street provides multi-entry but they calculate starting from 12AM. Hence, if you park for 2 nights, it charges 3 days.
I think the bed is a double bed. It would be nice if it was a queen size bed.

The hotel was perfectly fine for a short stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the bed was comfortable, which made for a good night’s sleep. The room itself was cozy, but it lacked enough hangers for clothes, and there was some dust under the bed that could have been cleaned better. Overall, a decent option for a quick visit to Sydney.
Dust under the bed. Dust in AC that is placed in the floor

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located. Food in the bar was tasty, it was nice to get a discount for staying in the accomodation and the happy hour was very reasonable!
They were testing the fire alarm the morning of my stay, which I understand has to be done at some stage. However the men undertaking the testing spoke loudly outside my door from before 7am, before commencing the testing 40min later..

Hidden gem right in front of your eyes. I was not expecting everything to be so modern yet historic. The staff were all lovely. The food was outstanding. Quaint rooms, but the whole place had so much personality and history. Bonus points for allowing dogs through to their beer garden. Will definitely go back.
The commute up the stairs was unavoidable, we were lucky and packed light. Also having a window facing the afternoon sun with the air-conditioning off, was noticeably warm when entering the room. But these were very minor things that were easy fixed.

We found the location very convenient and the staff friendly and helpful
There was 1) No TV in the room 2) No face cloths supplied 3) No electric jug etc in the room and lots of stairs up to the landing where everything was 4) The coffee mugs had no handles making carrying them downstairs very slow as they were very hot 5) No where in the room to put our suitcases out of the way

Location was great, close to the star casino and theatre, bars and restaurants. Bus stop right outside, 10 minutes to the city. Room and ensuite size was adequate for 2 nights. The bed was very comfortable. Great value for money.
The ensuite needs a shelf or something where one could put a few things and a towel rack or some hooks.

loved the location, that the room had a mirror and ample space, bed was comfty and everything in the room seemed clean. I LOVED that they provided disposable ear plugs, i thought that was really thoughtful.
The toilets were dirty but i guess that should be expected with shared toilets. I also dont love the shower heads, yoy have to bend back to not get your hair wet.

Location, Cleanliness and the revamped rooms. Great location to local attractions and eatery
The loud room doors. I think, because they are fire doors, they close loudly when people leave the room. So did wake me up a couple times
