WE REALLY WERE HAPPY HAVING CHOSEN THIS HOTEL FOR 5 NIGHTS! Here is why: 1) the location is good, a little bit out of the way but still not too far from the center and very close to Darling Harbour. 2) The staff was very helpful; we got our room earlier than the regular check-in time and the staff helped us to make calls and to get taxis. 3) The building itself is wonderful. It is a historical property linked to the Australian wool industry and the design is very different to the usual square boxes. 4) The apartment was big with a double bed, TV with many channels, everything needed in the kitchen, a table with two chairs, an armoire, good WI-FI and a cute balcony. 5) The hotel has an indoor pool, elevators, and a decent lobby 6) The whole place is clean; the rooms are a little bit dated but nothing major. 7) The price gives an excellent value for everything you get. 8) This is a busy place but yet it was very quiet once we got into our room. 9) The apartment has a washer and dryer in the bathroom with laundry soap provided which is very practical. 10) The hotel and the surrounding area felt very safe.

There is no restaurant in the hotel but you have little cafés and restaurants near by plus grocery stores. However the hotel can provide you with breakfast boxes and bottles of water. The cost of taxis in Sydney is quite expensive; every ride is about USD $25.00 so it adds up. The hotel is not responsible for that but the fact that the location is a little bit out of the way is the reason why we took many taxis adding to the cost. But that would not stop us from staying there again!

great value for price, really comfortable and spacious. apartment was clean and fitted with modern amenities (good shower pressure, new kitchen appliances, nice big tv with fairly straightforward streaming) location is pretty good too, and staff are all very friendly and helpful.

only complaint I would have is the noise level - our bedroom was right next to the outside walkways, which have no ceilings between floors, so all the noise can be heard from everyone outside their rooms, at all hours of the day/night unfortunately. not the hotel’s fault, just the design of the building, but something to be aware of when booking. there were earplugs provided in the bedside tables though which was thoughtful.

location was excellent for my needs. the room was very nice, clean, in good order and neat - had everything I needed. the bed was just right - lovely and big for me. Loved the Breakfast box that I pre-ordered. very good idea. it would be even better if one could order extras to add to the box like butter/spread, bread etc. also appreciated that there was a variety of basic housekeeping items that one could ask for and use free of charge. Loved the historic building and conversion. housekeeping staff were very helpful and prompt as was reception. The masseuse in outside corridor was fantastic.

Could have been told alternatives on how to get around ie ferry, train, walk or taxi. also short-cut to Darling Harbour using 2nd floor walkway and lifts etc. took me 5 days to work it out by asking questions and following people. I had a lot of difficulty with cabs putting my walker in their car and using my interstate taxi concession vouchers. I avoided that eventually by using ferries and buses. Concierge could have been more helpful and friendly. I tried to open the wrong door to pool for 3 days before I finally got the concierge to physically come and show me. Also not helpful in getting me a cab that accepted concession vouchers. I couldn't get the lift a number of times because the door was left open.. perhaps the lift doors should automatically close.

Location is superb. Literally cross the street using an elevated pathway to bring you to the light rail station and the convention center. The general ambiance was old industrial meets modern. Think steel, large beams of wood but with modern touches. Rooms were sufficient and comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking and dining paraphernalia, if you feel like cooking and eating in. The 3rd toilet was a welcome surprise. Front desk Anish and another person were the only ones who were welcoming. The others didn't bother looking up to greet you as you entered the lobby. The apartment is ideal for a family of 4 or 5 as there was ample space in the entire apartment.

There was no option for daily housekeeping via booking.com. We would've preferred fresh towels and change of beddings daily. So price point is a bit on the high side considering no housekeeping service was given. Saw 2 cockroaches at the hallway while heading to our room, just off the elevator area. Simple pleasantries and even smiles from the front desk can make a difference. A printed guide on how to access the elevated pathway to reach the train station and Darling Harbour would be helpful.

The service apartment building was close to the lightrail station Convention Centre and many of Sydney attractions. There is a link bridge from the 2nd story of the building to a secure multistory car park that provides a pathway to the lightrail station. About a 5-10 minutes walk. From the lightrail station, it is fairly easy to go to all the major attractions in the city as well as Darling Harbour. Darling Harbour is about 10-15 minutes walk from the Oaks. This is where you can find IMAX Sydney, Madame Tussards, Sealife Sydney Aquarium, al fresco cafes and eateries to enjoy the views of the harbour. Within the vicinity of the Oaks, there are Japanese, Italian eateries and cafes too. All within walking distance, there is not much hassles getting food and drinks. If you drive, there is a multistory secure parking car park behind the apartments. From the 2nd story, there is also a path to the secure parking facility. You can get a good daily rate for a car park lot from the apartment front desk. Within the apartment, the service crew did a good job keeping it clean and fully stocked with daily essentials like detergents, toilet rolls. The amenities in the apartment like washer and dryer worked really well. It really feels like a home.

The pillows in the apartment was too soft. They definitely needed to be replaced. Besides that, the aircon air flow was not good at the bed room level. Once the doors are closed, the rooms felt stuffy. Lastly, the sofa in the living room was dusty and dated. It should be replaced because the springs were creaking every time we sat on it.

Family of five members: the two bedroom unit is a duplex with the bedrooms and bathrooms at the lower level. If accessibility is a concern, this unit would be a challenge. The unit is clean and comfortable. Provides full kitchenette (with dishwasher, microwave and hot plate for cooking), washer and dyer, dining area and living room. Spacious for five members. In the heart of Sydney CBD. 850m to Sydney Fish Market. Close of Harbour Quay Mall. Walking distance to the light rail transit to Circular Quay.

Expensive parking costs $49 per day. The registration counter can help to charge to your card and use access pin to enter and exit.

For the price this was a really good decision to stay here. The bed is really comfortable and the blackout curtains were fantastic. I slept well every night here. The facilities are also clean and a lovely addition, the pool is beautifully tiled and the hot tub is a really good temperature. This is a heritage building and you can tell how much it’s been cared for, feels like a deluxe experience.

All the lights in the room were a bit too blue I would have chosen a warmer bulb. Which made it feel less homely. The WiFi is a little slow and had to resort to using my hotspot.

Location and the in house pool and sauna was awesome. Tidy inside the hotel and beds were comfortable. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We had space for 5 of us and everything was within walking distance to Darling Harbour.

The gym equipment was a bit rusty so we weren't able to change the weights to suit our needs. Outside the hotel, there is a lot of rubbish around the trees and cigarette butts, which is a shame as this is your front door. I work in the hospitality industry in NZ, if I worked here, I would sweep up the cig butts and remove the rubbish to keep the frontage looking nice.

The location is good for people who wants to stay close to the airport, it's about 10 minutes drive. Room has a good space, bathroom is very nice and clean, the beds are comfy. The roof top bar has a great view, this is my second time staying here before getting on a plane. The staff is always informative and professional.

The roof top bar seemed booked for my favourite area this time, it had a group of people who took a lot of space, which was not relaxing for other guests. The single bed is quite narrow I feel like I could roll over and fall onto the ground- but that's probably just me because I'm not used to it.
