This was our second time staying at Stockmans Tamworth and we absolutely love it! The restaurant is incredible—so convenient for breakfast and every item we've tried has been delicious and very reasonably priced. You even get a free coffee with the Stockmans Breakfast or just for staying, which is a lovely bonus. Room service is available too, which is perfect if you feel like a slow start to your morning. We've stayed in the spa room both visits, and it’s always been great—the TV is massive, the beds are super comfy, and the staff are genuinely lovely and so accommodating. We especially love sitting on the verandah in the morning—the sunlight is just beautiful and it's such a peaceful way to start the day. The room is always clean and tidy, and even though it’s just a short drive out of Tamworth, it’s hands down the best value – affordable, peaceful, and high-quality. Oh—and don’t forget the camels and donkeys! Such a fun and unexpected bonus. The carpark and grounds are also spotless, not a stone out of place—literally! Highly recommend Stockmans. We’ll definitely be back again.

We left Ipswich thinking we'd just take our time driving south and find accommodation when we were ready to call it a day. What a mistake! We found ourselves caught high and dry at Glen Innes when both there and Armidale had big functions which meant accommodation was just not available. Looking ahead we made the decision to drive on to Tamworth and booked a spa room at the Stockmans Motel. It was a long tiring day - but what a find at the end of it! The motel was spacious and well set out and the room was huge. We arrived with 30 minutes to spare to have a nourishing dinner in the restaurant with great service. The spa was a fabulous way to finish the day - and a top way to start the next. Set off the highway about 10kms south of Tamworth, it was quiet and peaceful. We would certainly choose to stay here again on future visits to or through Tamworth.

My partner and I stayed here for a weekend getaway. Our high expectations were exceeded!! The quality of the room was incredible, the facilities were gorgeous (we loved the big TV and spa bath), and the view of the paddock (with cows) was stunning. We ordered room service from Papa Luigi’s (restaurant on site) which was unreal. My partner said the chicken wings were 10/10, and as a vegetarian, I had such a large selection which all sounded so yum! We loved our food so much, we went to the restaurant for dinner the next night too. Stockmans is not the cheapest motel in Tamworth, but it is 1000% the best (definitely worth spending a little extra on). We absolutely will be back!!

We booked the hotel at the last minute as we were travelling home from the Gold Coast and were not sure where we going to stop. The staff were amazing and friendly from the moment we checked in. We had dinner and breakfast at the in house restaurant, the food was superb as well as the service. The rooms were elegant, spacious and clean and when travelling with 2 children space this can be important, during the slightly cooler months of April it was a cosy atmosphere, and we can't wait till our visit in December.

When I opened the door to my room, I could smell disinfectant. It smelled clean and it was clean. The Motel is well built. It hasn't been put together on the cheap. There are lovely additional features like bronze statues of horsemen on the front entrance pylons as well as another at the entrance. There is a floodlit fountain outside the windows to the restaurant. The grounds are beautifully set out.

There weren't any flat surfaces in my room, to put my bags or set up my lap top.

Rooms are huge. TV massive. Great that it has a microwave and separate area to put food. Restaurant was amazing. Room service and the food was delicious. Pool was good. We were there for a basketball weekend so kids would have loved a basketball hoop like down at the Savananah down the road. parks were large and right outside the bedroom door. Easy check in. Laundry facilties excellent.

Nothing really it was great although it would be great if there was a card tap facillity to use washing machine and dryer, although you could get change at reception.

I was only in Tamworth for one night for a conference and traveled with my two school aged daughters who absolutely loved the pool and surrounds. I personally loved that this motel was just outside the main part of town giving it that gorgeous country surrounding with views of the pastures and hills in the distance. The room was really comfortable and had everything we needed for our short stay. Check in was so easy with the lock box at our front door. Milk, juice and water in the fridge was perfect along with the cereal for breakfast. Staff were super friendly and helpful. This will absolutely be my motel of choice when I am back in Tamworth - my daughters and I highly recommend it.

Very spacious and well appointed room. Nice rural outlook with back patio to enjoy some bird watching. Good refrigerator plus handy microwave. Good restaurant. Fresh milk and cereals available in room were welcome. Amazingly large television. Very efficient air conditioning. Stayed three nights for a mixture of work and pleasure so great base several kilometres south of centre of town.

Though designed for disability access - and generally very good for that purpose - the small bathroom basin set up and lack of vanity or decent shelving for toiletries was awkward. Difficult to fill small kettle with water and it was obvious from damage to floor tiles was the result of items easily falling from tiny glass shelf immediately below soap dispenser.

Very new facility with good quality fittings and furnishings. Excellent shower, cereals and juice provided free in room for breakfast. Self check in, so there's no interaction face to face with staff. Excellent split system air-conditioning with individual controls

It was disappointing that no toaster was provided as that is almost a standard inclusion in motels these days. Plenty of cutlery, plates etc. so it seems a strange omission. Another towel rail in bathroom would be beneficial. The polished concrete floors while practical, are cold to stand on in the winter. A mat or rug in the region around the bed would be good.

The restaurant was excellent and convenient after a long day of travelling with 2 kids. The staff were very friendly and helpful with any questions we had. They also let us have a late checkout when we asked at late notice. The room was was clean and kept in good shape making us feel comfortable. The beds were comfortable and made for a good night's sleep.

Would have been nice if there was firm (harder) pillows to pick from in the cupboard.
