My stay at Overnight Reflections B&B was awesome. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and attention to detail that made the experience feel truly special. The location is stunning—right on the water at Fishing Point—offering peaceful lake views and a serene atmosphere that’s perfect for a relaxing getaway. The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable, very homely. Waking up to the sound of the water and enjoying a gourmet breakfast overlooking the lake was a real highlight and a good place to fish. The hosts were kind, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making your stay memorable. Even though it was just one night, it felt like a mini-retreat. I only wish I could have stayed longer! I highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone looking for a tranquil escape with top-notch service and unbeatable views. They are popular, we stayed on a Monday night to get in :-0.

Narelle met us on arrival and showed us around our room and the property. Explained how things worked and where to park. Narelles local knowledge was wonderful, telling us about walks and restaurants. The breakfast was amazing, a great variety of cereal, muesli, fruit, yoghurt, toast, eggs, fresh cooked muffins, tea,coffee, fresh juice. All was so delicious. This has been the best BnB we have stayed at and Narelle n Bill have been the best hosts ever. So friendly and accommodating of our every need. Nothing was too much for them. We will definitely stay again. Thanks for making our weekend retreat so special.

Narelle greeted us warmly on arrival and showed us to our quarters. We had expected to stay in one of the two guest rooms in the main house but to our delight we were given the boathouse right on the water. This has been beautifully converted into a large studio with an en-suite. A comfortable bed with views across the lake and the waters gently lapping only metres away eradicated all our tensions during our three-night stay and Narelle's delicious and generous breakfasts that she brought down to us each morning set us up for the day.

My partner and I have been scratching our heads but we couldn't come up with anything, other than having - in the en-suite - a shelf to use and one or two rails to hang damp towels.

It was quiet and secluded and directly on the waters edge with a private wharf for fishing. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. There was also a kitchenette for convenience of cooking. The breakfast every morning supplied by Narelle and Bill was amazing. They were wonderful hosts and couldn’t do enough for us.

It was a bit far from shops and we had to get in the car to drive everywhere.

A beautiful, relaxing haven right on the water's edge. Perfect for 1 night but could happily have stayed two. Excellent, friendly hosts who provide the most marvellous breakfast including home made marmalade and biscuits. Very well appointed and spacious studio 'boathouse' room with shower and spa bath and a well stocked kitchenette. Café (not open Tues), bottle o, take away choices just a 10 min walk away. Excellent meal offer and friendly bar at the bowling club.

Some information in the room about local facilities could be helpful but the hosts greet you and can tell you whatever you need to know.

The breakfast, served piping hot and to order, was absolutely delicious... my host had made scrambled eggs as part of my order, and I've honestly never had better. The room, in a small cottage just below/downhill from the main house level, was right on the water. As in a few feet, and the view from the bed was a wonderful way to wake up.

The location overlooking Lake Macquarie, the accommodation at the water’s edge, and our breakfasts were all superb. Our hostess and host were exceptional. Both were warm, welcoming and mines of information about the history and amenities of the surrounding area. Great ambassadors. We would be back in a flash if the opportunity arose.

We were upgraded to the Cottage on the water. The location is absolutely superb. Great to watch the sunrise over the lake and enjoy a quiet cup of coffee in the afternoon with an amazing view. (A pod coffee maker was in our room.) Our lovely hostess brought us a beautiful breakfast each morning. Our 2 night stay here exceeded our expectations. Thank you Narelle & Bill for sharing your small paradise with us. Note: when using Bookings.com you are actually booking a room in the main house, not the Cottage. Still a wonderful place to stay.

Nothing to dislike.

Overnight Reflections can only exceed everyone’s expectations. Stunning location and views, perfect hosts, only the best of everything to complement this beautiful B&B. The breakfast was delicious and the view was so relaxing and a great way to start the day. Narelle and Bill are so friendly and welcoming, and have made their B&B a place that will always be remembered as one of those special memories.

The breakfasts were great, second to none. Narelle was lovely, very warm and kind. My husband and I will definitely be visiting again. We couldn't have asked for a better holiday experience.

There was nothing not to like. It's a little bit of paradise on the shores of Lake Macquarie, with the water gently lapping just metres from your veranda, where you can laze and enjoy the refreshing afternoon breeze.
