It was close to the event I was attending, rooms are clean and quaint, bed was comfy and clean (I slept like the dead), staff are nice. Showers are a bit small but bathrooms were immaculate. Price is a bit much but still a good stay for a few nights. I stayed twice and would definitely stay again.

The shower heads are outdated, small and the flow rate is near abysmal, but the water was hot. Below average in my opinion but it did it's job.

Staff were very friendly and helpful before and on arrival as we were organising family coming from all different directions at different times to meet up in Newcastle for a 40th birthday party. Family rooms were very roomy and clean The hotel is within walking distance to the Cardiff train station which some family members were using to travel to and from Newcastle for the event, and also 100 mt from the Cardiff RSL where we experienced the vast buffet dinner for the party - No driving or taxis home required.

It was very clean and the grounds were very well Manicured . It’s presentation was exceptional. It even had a beautiful fishpond outside my room door . It was quite and Also close to Clubs etc Staff ie owners are very pleasant and friendly . Most comfy bed and pillow I’ve had in a while. As , I often stay in other motels and definitely aren’t as comfy . The room was spacious and and very clean . I’d definitely return rather than going anywhere in this area .

Very well appointed motor inn. The room was clean, mini bar reasonably priced with a good variety of snacks and beverages. The 2 room family suite was perfect for our family of 5 including a 4yr old, a newborn and Grandma in toe. The construction is brick making the rooms extremely sound proof, which made our stay that more enjoyable knowing we weren't going to upset any neighbouring rooms with our newborn's midnight cry/feed. Would absolutely stay again if we are in the area! And a bonus thank you to Nathan for letting our daughter feed the koi fish before we left, she loved it - definitely a very welcome family orientated touch!

Very spacious and clean with extra pillows and blankets. My request for a pedestal fan in the room was no problem.

I tried to contact reception after hours to report a guests car alarm going off however there was no answer. It was right underneath our room and was going to wake my kids up it stopped after 30 minutes thankfully. I would have liked to be able to contact reception and contact them at the time

The Motel was very clean, they were happy to replace towels daily, this is a big deal when you return from a day working amongst smoke and soot and wish to shower before bed and again in the morning.

I was surprised not to have any plates in the unit despite a microwave however there were great dine out options nearby. The RSL and Wests club have excellent good value food.

From the moment we pulled into the driveway presentation was evident. The whole place was immaculate. Then we met the receptionist Nathan 😀 we were met with a pleasant welcome and smile.😁 The motel as a fish pond full of Japanese Koi 🐠and Nathan saw I had my young grand daughter with me and asked if she would like to feed them (as it was feeding time) which brought smiles to our faces as this little one has had a rough time of late. Then we proceeded to our room opened the door and were pleasantly surprised as to the cleanliness of the room and to be honest we could not find anything to fault. Beds were perfect, facilities were perfect , hairdryer, microwave, iron and fridge in our room everything again clean and no nasties. There is a park 🏞️ for children down the road and a shopping centre with Woolies , ALDI, & Chemist and a variety of other shops McDonalds 24/7, Cardiff Wests and RSL Club ALL in walking distance which we found very convenient. Noise wasn't an issue either surprisingly as being on a main road we thought we would definitely notice as we are light sleepers. We stayed here after reading other reviews and we were not disappointed at all. We agreed this motel is the best one in Newcastle that we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in alot over the past few years. We would highly recommend staying here to anyone and have every intention of staying here when we need to go to Newcastle again .😁😁 Thank you Nathan and staff for a wonderful stay.!! ☺️

Spacious room and convenient location.

As I stayed there for a week, I feel as though there could have been a little more cutlery and a plate/bowl at least. Wasn’t a huge issue though. I was shocked to find that you had to pay for bottled water. I’ve never had to do that before. All good though.

Firstly upon arrival management was warm and welcoming very friendly so very satisfied, next you notice the free parking is well spaced out and room locations are great, the little bridge and fish ponds just gave me a beautiful feeling from my childhood and just lovely to incorporate them into the landscape. The rooms were big and the spa was excellent definitely got a few good uses for our one night stay. We definitely will be back when needing to travel again and relax thank you

This little gem tucked away in Cardiff was the perfect place for an overnight stop. The room was spacious and spotless, with very nice touches of a stocked mini bar. They also offer a breakfast but we didn't take advantage of this. The bathroom was clean and spacious. The beds were slightly on the hard side but very comfortable. The reception staff were lovely will definitely book again when travelling through.
