a group of us have soccer game in nearby field which is 5min drive, this place is the perfect location to stay overnight, got everything in one location. the size of the room the food, the venue even the kids zone got video game and arcade games, was quite at night, you can hear the train which from a few hundred meters away but that does not harm your sleep at all which is important to us.

nothing really, if the hotel could provision the EV charger, or just even the ourdoor power plug just a few of them so the EV car can be charged overnight, as I can see more and more EV travel to that area.

Was lovely experience staying at Macquarie 4star. When I initially booked it - it was silver suit not creek facing but when I dropped a msg regarding travelling with special need child, a reception called n offer to upgrade it with some.extra charges. I was pleased to know this additional information as frm booking sites only silver ones available but we got it changed n booked the creek facing one. That was very thoughtful of hers to give a call. Really appreciate it

Supplies in bathroom wasn't that grt as only 2 towels provided though we were family of 4 staying. Also no cutlery, dishes or microwave provided.

We absolutely loved the comfort of the rooms, and the closeness to the club. We particularly liked how you could walk to the club through the motel. The location was great. Food was ok through room service. The shower was great but unfortunately there was long black hairs all over the bathroom (and we don’t have black hair)

The beds were way tooo soft, they were like falling into a sinkhole, I’ve previously had a bad shoulder and I haven’t had any issues for a while but because this bed was so soft I woke up with a sore shoulder and aches everywhere else. The staff weren’t very friendly, possibly could do with some customer service training

The breakfast had various foods for the individual and kept hot; the room had a view of the river which was lovely with plenty of birds around, the golf course looked like it was well looked after, the bar staff were friendly.

that night I had the roast of the day which I was not happy with, it came with no roast meat but with chicken that was all of bones and not much meat and very little vegies very disappointed.

I stay here every time I visit Newcastle. Fantastic property that is in a great location. Rooms are clean and beds comfortable. Always very clean. We enjoy sitting out on the balcony overlooking Cockle Creek watching sunset then enjoying a coffee out there the next morning. Great parking facilities, the club is attached so it is easy to get a drink or meal. The staff are very friendly and explain everything clearly

I would prefer fresh milk if I was too suggest anything

Loud music from the band from the club until late at night not very hot breakfast in the morning that we payed for hot chocolate and a cappuccino not hot at all from the club in the morning for breakfast if you pay for breakfast and drinks they should be hot and some of the staff not impressed by as well at the club on the morning

Breakfast was great, staff were amazing. The location was very central and quieter than expected given that the train line is quite close.

There is not much that can be done about the access in and out, the road is very busy and makes it difficult to enter and exit. However, this is a minor inconvenience. I did have difficulty finding it, but that could have just been my GPS.

The bed was very comfortable. Balcony with river view was nice and peaceful ( except the train nearby). Gardens well maintained. All you can eat buffet breakfast in the club was very nice. Staff were very friendly and upgraded our room to a platinum for our wedding anniversary.

Spa didn't work, which was very disappointing. (Staff were very apologetic ). The shower had restricted pressure. It would have been nice to have had a robe, considering it was a platinum room.

The property was clean. The staff were friendly and hospitable. The king size bed was extremely comfortable.

Breakfast as an added $20 per head had cold food and drinks. The Bain Marie’s/ stainless containers should have had lids on to keep the heat lamps and food warm. We advised the staff and they were apologetic and did offer us barista coffee and if they could do anything to help.

Our stay was great. The room is very clean, comfy bed and buffet breakfast has good selections. I would like to commend Sonya who assisted us with our check-in. She's very accommodating and recommended places to visit. Thank you Sonya for your assistance. The hotel is so lucky to have you. Great job :)

It would add value if the room has floral scent.
