The lady I dealt with on reception was amazing (I wish I had a better memory because she deserves to be told how great her customer service is) My partner had to have surgery and unexpectedly my 15yr old son had to come with me. I didn't ask for twin beds and wasn't asked to pay extra, they automatically moved me into a more suitable room. Even when I booked I got a phone call as I'd asked if we could possibly arrive earlier. I didn't just get a no its not possible, they said they had a full house so unlikely but suggested to pop in and if they could they'd let me know and if not they could take my bags and store them. This sort of service is rare these days and I would stay here purely because of how this lady made me feel. The rooms were a good size, so quiet which surprised me and omg the beds are heaven. If I ever have to stay in Newcastle again and need a room that's convenient and good value - this would definitely be my go to. And I'm so sorry I don't remember you're name but the booking was under Christina Jones, my son is Jazz and my partner is Lyndon who was in for day surgery. As usual the staff were very helpful. The room was ready on arrival. The restaurant was neat and well set out and the meals were delicious. The breakfast was very good with options for continental or a cooked breakfast or both. Even though we were on a busy road, the room was quiet with a lovely forest outlook. The bed was very comfortable. We particularly liked that we could open verandah door at night and not use air conditioning. We were very close to Newcastle Private Hospital and John Hunter Hospital and very close to both Kotara and Charlestown shopping malls.

We both had minor issues with the stairs, however, we were directed to the lift, which was very helpful. I was surprised that that there was not a bottle of water in the fridge for our arrival. I expect that everything else in the mini bar fridge has to be paid for separately.

The Location, the room with a view in he nature and very good isolated noice despite the hotel is next to the Pacific Highway we had no noise at all!!!!

The bathroom is missing a firm grip in the bath-tube. There is a beautiful glass water protection for the shower on the bath but it is difficult to get in without any grip to get there. After taking a shower there is no slip-protection on the floor of the bath-tube so the danger to fall is there. For me personally it was a very dangerous slippery bath-tube. Please make a grip and a slip protection inside the bath-tube. The minibar was TOOO Much stuffed, we could not add our own appels and salad inside...Less is better.

The staff was very helpful from the start. The room that was offered to us was quite spacious and did the accommodate our family of three. Dream was large and clean, and the balcony gave us a beautiful view of the nearby rainforest. We did get to enjoy the pool, which was quite deep to accomodate experienced swimmers, and hopefully the restaurant next time, which seemed to have a very appetising menu. The location was also great, only a few minutes by car to the closest shopping mall, and about 15 to 20 minutes to the main beach. Highly recommended as it was a great surprise for us who don’t get to travel to Newcastle often.

Value for money. Had our own private balcony. The room was spacious. The bathroom was very well laid out for a Disability Bathroom. The fridge was stocked full of goodies ( extra cost ) . Plentiful amounts of different teas & coffees. The hotel had a beautiful pool that was very inviting.

The bed was way too soft and I woke up with a bad back for the whole day. Smoke Free on our balcony, but, less than 10ft away, there was a Picnic table with ashtrays where people could smoke. Didn’t understand that ??? Booked room thru Booking.com but it wasn’t till I got a welcome email that I found out that the restaurant wasn’t open Sundays. However, they did have room service that made the food out of the restaurant kitchen anyway, which didn’t make much sense to me.

The staff were amazing from both the hotel and Babbingtons. It was clean and family friendly. Also kids eat free as long as the aldults purchase something from the menu. It was well priced and the food was delicious. I especially liked the fact that all you had to do was walk downstairs and have a meal.

I really didn't like being in a room directly above the restaurant. When they turned on the rangehood in the morning at 5am it made a horrible loud bang and woke me up every morning. If you stay here ask for a room that is further away from the restaurant.

It was a good price for a last minute booking. Room was nice and clean. Basic supplies in kitchen area. Mini bar was OK. One of the staff members - Jimmy - was particularly helpful when I needed help with something. Staff in the kitchen/bar area were helpful when I missed breakfast and just wanted a coffee and a croissant (in lieu of actual breakfast).

No microwave in the room - not sure if that was clear in the booking information. Access to the lift was difficult to find - I didn’t find it after asking staff two times. In any case I couldn’t have got the trolly to my room from the lift due to stairs on the second floor between my room and the lift. So I had to carry my bags up and down two flights of stairs and I had a number of bags I needed to bring in. I arrived at night after 9pm so didn’t expect staff to be available to help. But an accessible lift would have made it easier. Also breakfast finished at 9:30 so I missed it.

The staff make this place excellent. So helpful and friendly, and they really went the extra mile to make sure I had a good stay. Rooms are comfortable, I had a balcony room and loved being 'up in the trees'. Bed was super comfy. TV functioned well with good access to streaming services. Only things I can fault is that internet was a bit patchy at times and the air conditioner smelt a bit musty but with the time of year I was able to just open the door to the balcony and not use it.

I really loved the entrance lobby—it was welcoming and beautifully designed. The room size was impressive, offering plenty of space to relax, and the view from the room was absolutely stunning, overlooking the jungle. The outdoor seating area was another highlight, perfect for enjoying the peaceful surroundings.

If I had to mention one thing, it would be the pool area. While it was nice, there wasn’t a dedicated kids' pool with shallow water, which would have been a great addition for families with young children.

The room was large and we enjoyed the balcony (which included a screen door) and private bush views. We even saw several native birds. The bed was amazing and fabulous sheets, pillows and towels. The facility offers level parking around the building and we were able to park adjacent to a guest entry door for easy access to our room. The bathroom was well appointed with toiletries and even had a wall mounted magnifying mirror. We dined in the restaurant and enjoyed a fabulous meal and the staff are very professional and friendly. The facility has a large foyer and a lounge bar - the property is surrounded by native bush which provides both privacy and a great outlook. The property is a short drive from a mammoth multi storey shopping centre / mall that offers everything you’d need…..groceries, bottle shop, cafes, restaurants, coffee and retail outlets.

The shower base did not drain effectively…the water pooled and subsequent mould around the tiles and damage to the bottom of the bathroom door was evident. The shower was still very wet and slippery the following morning - huge risk for slipping/falling if you weren’t careful. The fridge freezer had no ice. My husband wandered down to the lounge bar - they were happy to provide some.
