Overall it was a good experience and accommodation was spacious. Reception staff was professional and friendly and willing to assist with a smile

Kitchen was not that clean. There were crumbs and rubbish in the cabinet under the sink in one apartment and rubbish bin half full on arrival in the other. The rubbish under the sink was not that easily accessible but I cleaned it on my knees. Also I have been charged extra $3.55 on my credit card not sure for what as we had not used anything from the mini bar.

We chose Gateway Inn for EV charging and over our 3-night stay managed to get a few sessions. Staff were friendly and helpful (thanks Tim!). The location worked for us. The complimentary access to Balance Mayfield gym was great. Bathroom was modern and shower excellent. Bed was comfortable. It was quiet.

The corridors and elevators needed a good vacuum. The bedside lighting had one switch that wasn’t easy to access from bed. Bathroom didn’t have an exhaust fan switch and that limited ventilation.

I didn’t have brekkie there as I was working early hours. I did have room service once. Though I must say the salmon was fairly well over cooked and not sure what happened to the tartare sauce it was pretty nasty :( Shower needs some waterproofing on the glass and tiles there was some black mould. I only noticed because I’m a Waterproofing contractor from Canberra and was up for a Waterproofing job in mayfield.

The shower needs a Waterproofing job done on it (rm 3317) Also the shower soap dispensers are ready bad.

arrived late and was greeted with a smile. Next door club caters well with great food and even able to have an amazing breakfast there the next morning. Plenty of parking out the back second time i have stayed there and will do so again as its quiet and easy to get to and convenient location for my work purposes and easy to reach all work sites within 15 mins all around Newcastle

The one bed apartments are spacious that comes with King bed and stove top. The living and bedrooms are spacious and clean. The sofa, bed, kitchen and utensils provided were really good. The location of the property was good, it was 15 mins to any place in NewCastle.

The only concern I had was that the bathrooms had a glass instead of wall. Though it was translucent the light from bathroom were too bright in the night. Only adults were allowed in the swimming pool.

Very nice place! Stylish , modern , clean, comfortable… Shower is amazing, its for two people the same time! Perfect for couples getaways :)) Bar and food next door, and the Casino next door is a entertainment bonus! All in one! All you need for fun vacation 👍

The service, the price, and the free EV charging.

The slightly outdated deco, which is not adequate for the 21st century digital world, and the smell of "old furniture and interior decoration" (this was not the first time I stayed in this hotel, and both times I could smell it).

It’s a beautiful hotel, with good size room and space. Perfect for a couple.

Would have liked to be able to purchase items from a vending machine or have been given bottled water as complimentary. There was only 1 bathrobe for the room - would have been nice to be given 1 each.

Our room was surprisingly large and comfortable, overlooking the oval with a fabulous bathroom and the best hairdryer I've even seen in hotel accommodation. It was a bonus that is was adjacent to the Club as it made our dining options simpler. Perfect place to stay, especially as it was a working trip and we needed to be up and out early each day. The parking was also free and very convenient.

The size of the 3 rooms were good, and the relaxing corner in the windows behind the curtains was amazing. It was lovely to receive a daily room service. There were sufficient beds and sofa to accommodate all family members. It's wonderful to realise that the parking spots are free, including the extended parking area.
