The property is exactly as described, I really liked the secluded/private entrance to the rooms so you don’t need to go through the whole property if you are coming in and out it’s really convenient, close to the train station and really close to other venues for night life
Being so close to the train station you do get some noise from coal trains coming through throughout the night, that could be because we where so close in our room so other rooms might be better for that noise cancellation

The staff was really lovely and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. Really lovely people. The room was clean and had excellent air conditioning. It felt very safe and had 2-3 levels of security to pass through to get to our room which was great (2 were key tag access and at night the door is locked and the front entrance which is a bar requires ID prior to admission to other people). The bar downstairs had great food.
There was no shampoo nor conditioner nor body wash provided and there was no hand soap in the bathroom which made it feel more like a hostel. Check out at 10 am sharp, the cleaners start to clean at 10 am which wasn’t an issue for our party but I believe it was a bit of an issue for the other occupants.

Very convenient location at Hamilton station, so using train and light rail was a breeze. Hamilton has a great range of restaurants and is very reminiscent of parts of Melbourne in that respect. The rooms appear to have been recently renovated and are clean, fresh and comfortable. Free wifi was an unexpected bonus, as was off-street parking. The pub looks good too. Didn't eat at the restaurant but everything was well presented and the staff were very helpful.
Only one shower in the male bathroom worked. There was no soap at the wash basin, which is a major omission considering we're not fully out of COVID. This must be addressed immediately. No other complaints, however.

The rooms being clean and shower facilities being available nearby with shampoo and conditioner being available for people to use when they showered themselves plus the beds were very comfortable I wish I could have those beds at my house in my room
Very little space being available between beds and no microwave being available for me to heat up meals that I bought from home so that I don't have to buy expensive meals from restaurants

The location is EXCEPTIONAL. Lovely staff, Gorgeous surroundings, & great bistro. I have to comment also however on the quality of the surrounding restaurants. What an amazing location literally right next to the train to everywhere in Newcastle.
I loved this venue. Happy to share bathrooms at this cost obviously, but would have preferred that both of the 2 shared showers in the community bathroom worked at equal pressure. Sounds petty, but a dribble shower is no fun after a P!NK concert!

Amazing staff, amazing location. Great value for money. Right next to train station and numerous food joints!
The bathrooms need a tiny bit of love. Firstly, they are a trip hazard - be careful when you take the first step into the bathroom! Also the toilet seats were lose and wobbled about, so you had to be careful when you sat down. And the toilet roll holders were broken.

It’s cheap accommodation above the pub with car parking on site. It wasn’t noisy in the rooms. It’s an older style pub, so it’s not 5 star accommodation, but it’s clean, the beds are comfy and we felt safe. The staff were friendly. It’s value for money and a great place to stay if you are going out in Hamilton. It’s right in the middle of everything. I would definitely stay again.
Nothing.

Location, staff, food, train station right across the road, staff are highly vigilant and responsive. This hotel serves its customers well, and anyone who needs an early departure for Sydney by rail won't have any problems with that, as Hamilton station is the main east/west north/south rail Junction in this part of the state.
No soap dispensers in the toilet area.

Beautiful and clean for a pub accommodation. No noise from down stairs. Whilst the room itself was on the small side it was well stocked, clean and a comfortable bed. The shared bathroom was clean and well maintained as was the rest of the property. Very family friendly and felt incredibly safe as a mother and young child staying overnight. Staff were beautiful and so polite and friendly. Will most definitely stay again anytime visiting Newcastle.
Bathroom didn’t have a stall or anything to put belongings on whilst showering or any soap available in dispenser. Toilet door also wouldn’t lock properly. Could also do with a larger mirror
