We were in a very modern 2b/r apartment on the top floor (7th). Bathrooms and living areas were very clean. Nice big balcony. Comfy beds. Basic amenities in the apartment (cutlery etc) but we didn’t mind too much as we ate out quite a bit and didn’t cook at all. The apartment is in a great location opposite the foreshore. Lots of restaurants and cafes around, all within walking distance. Its a 15min walk to Woolies/Coles/Big W. The gym and pool are both very clean and well kept.

The building itself is named Chifley, and no signs of Honeysuckle, so look out for that. It was difficult to navigate to the back entrance of the carpark, it is down Wright Lane, and not Honeysuckle Drive. There is construction going on at the moment, so Wright Lane is essentially a 1 way street. It just needs to be outlined a little clearer when booking. Parking is $25 per day. The apartment needs spare blankets, there weren’t any at all and it was a bit cold on the leather couch.

The room was spacious and spotless, great bathroom new appliances all top end comfy bed. Large tv in lounge and bedroom. Not sure about the parking complaints! All day public carpark literally at back of building with four and two hour zones 9 to 5pm you could stay all day alternating zones for under 20 dollars. Use the app and don't leave your bed to start it up at 9am :) 30 second walk from main door if that. We accessed our van regularly. Bonus Free overnight parking from 5pm. Great for our small motorhome. The rate for our stay was amazing and excellent value. Right across from waterfront and lots of restaurants. Staff are available till 8pm at reception. We could not fault it. We will recommend :)

Perhaps directions a little clearer that you enter off Wright or Settlement lane. That would be our only small comment.

Trying to find the Honeysuckle apartments was a mission as we couldn't find any signs, even after we had found them thanks to other tourists who had also had trouble finding them. Clear messaging that they are part of the Chifley on all advertising would be helpful. Definitely some signs on the outside of the building and in the entranceway are really a necessity, as it became very stressful. Would be really nice to have a choice of apartments with 2 double beds. Sofa sleepers are never that comfortable. I travel with friends and we don't share beds. Light from living room through the glass was a bit annoying as my friend and I have different sleep patterns and they like watching TV in the early hours. I found the bedroom a bit stuffy and needed the door open. chi

The location is close to the Comedy Club, which was the reason we booked the Honeysuckle. Also close to the river for a pleasant walk with a choice of restaurants and bars. The room was very stylish with a balcony overlooking the pool. I enjoyed sitting out there in the early morning listening to the pool gurgling and Newcastle waking up.

I hadn't received the door code when our plane landed. I phoned and when eventually put through to someone, it took a long time for them to find my booking. They said they would send the code. By the time we had reached the apartment, I still had not received a text. I again phoned, and again it took a long time to speak to a person and a long time for them to find my booking. This is very frustrating after a plane journey arriving in a new city.

Great location. Very nice apartment, recently renovated and extremely clean. Kitchen very well fitted out with crockery, cutlery, pots, full size fridge. Nice bathroom with washer, dryer. Balcony was nice. Good swimming pool. Secure parking (additional $25 per day but worth it). We booked the one bedroom apartment and the sofa was made up as an additional double bed, which we didn’t need so packed up and used the sitting area.

The pillows! Only complaint. They were huge boulders and impossible to sleep on - and no option of others. Yes I know - first world problem but a good night’s sleep is valued when travelling.

Location, location, location. The corridor to get into the apartment very well worn and we were wondering what we had booked. The apartment was a pleasant surprise, very spacious and well renovated. The facilities in the apartment were really good. We would definitely book it again.

On arrival we couldn't access the lift or apartment. A resident kindly let us in from the carpark and took us up to the correct floor. The door code also did no work but the contacted the number and all codes were reset and access was not an issue again.

This is my third time staying here.. and will definitely return again in future. The location is wonderful, close to many restaurants and wharf area. The room was exceptional; large, modern, clean and very visually appealing, our small apartment looks as though very recently has had a facelift. Staff were very easy to communicate with and were able to split the bed to 2 singles for us.

The codes needed to access all areas needs to be more simplified, the same code for everything would be much more user friendly approach. But this wouldn't stop me from booking again, Cos once you finally get into your room, it's amazing.

The apartment was updated and fresh. It was much bigger than we expected and it was extremely clean, which I loved. The washing machine & dryer were new & easier to use then my own ones at home! You could tell no expense was spared when updating the apartment with upmarket branded appliances and utensils. The check in & check out experience was flawless.

The TVs in our room were not connected to the network so unable to use any apps on them i.e Netflix. The TV in the bedroom was not connected to the aerial so could not be used at all.

Clean, comfortable, well looked after, friendly staff and good location for bike riding which we did a lit of.

The name was unclear. it we called Honeysuckle appartmants but the signange outside was Chifely Having to pay for parking was very uexpected and disappointing. We should have been warned of this before. Parking the buiilding was confusing as there was not marked spot and may was private. We find it hard to work out a spot to part in on the first few days. On 2 occassions cleaners came in WITHOUT first knocking. A fan in the bedroom would also have been helpful to avoid needing the airconditiaon.r

Room was comfortable and quiet. 2nd floor. Didn’t have to wait long for lifts.

The code wasn’t working to enter our room, we tried 2 different codes, the receptionist came up to try our code, didn’t work, as expected, and she didn’t think to bring a key to open it and had to go and get it. A bit frustrating when we had waited till after 3pm to check in. May have been an oversight, but was a little bit frustrating. Everything else excellent.
