The location is close to everything you want to be close to in Newcastle. A first and very positive impression is made by the very welcoming staff which then continuous in the exceptional style of the hotel, the room, the restaurant, and the rooftop bar - funky but warm, friendly, and well-balanced. Overall, the philosophy is clearly one of "above and beyond" which extends from the staff to the facilities and even to the offering of our room's minibar. Loved it, happy to visit again.

There is not a lot of privacy once you have the curtains open - be ready to face the world in general and your neighbors specifically, with whom you'll soon come to develop an unusually high degree of intimacy.

Modern stylish new hotel. Updated approach to checkin was easy and smooth. Staff was v helpful. Food and Bev was fantastic. Beds were super comfortable. Clean, nice ammenities.

Hard to find light switches, esp upon entering first time and in the middle of the night. Even w all the lights on quite dark in my room. Limited storage that wasn't open, for a night or two on my own, fine. The shower head on the wand was loose and couldn't be tightened without tools; these are going to be problematic longer term for sure. Fortunately there was also a rain head above. When it was raining, and there was plenty, the tin cladding and roofing were v loud. Even w ear plugs. The seats in the bar for a larger group were not well thought out, nowhere to put your feet when sitting on an elevated bench or seat.

The rooms are lovely. The beds are comfy. The breakfast was ala carte, and the scramble eggs were hot and came quickly. I also had one of the best cappuccinos I have had in a long while. I would stay at this hotel again. Staff were very friendly also.

Although the room was very nicely decorated, and they had a lit mirror in the bathroom, it was very difficult to see well enough to put makeup on or blow dry my hair. After my shower the bathroom mirror fogged up and there didn't seem to be a fan in the bathroom. Although the staff were friendly upon check-in I wasn't told about the Wi-Fi or where to have breakfast in the morning.

Incredibly helpful and very friendly Staff . And amazing iconic Newcastle location. But can’t go past the staff. The staff couldn’t do enough. Extra parking assistance - no problem; Early check in - no problem; tips on local hairdressers/sights/pubs - no problem; umbrellas ☔️- no problem; change rooms for better work space- no problem….and list goes on. And the restaurant food especially Tiramisu amazing!

We stayed here at the start and end of our holiday as a stop over and both times were exceptional. The rooms and facilities are beautiful, the beds are so comfy we ran late leaving both mornings because we didn't want to get out of them. We really loved the amenities in the room, especially the luxe bathroom products as well. The staff were so kind and helpful as well and checking in and out was so quick and easy. The location was amazing too and we loved all the little bars and restaurants nearby. We will 100% return one day for a longer stay.

The only fault we could possibly find is the parking. The parking process is slightly confusing and a little fiddly with the exit vouchers but we acknowledge that that's not something that can be changed easily and has nothing to do with the service of the staff. The parking spots themselves are also very narrow. We only have a very small car and we still accidentally scraped the side on one of the bollards (absolutely our fault but I bet we're not the first to do it). We're not overly bothered because our car is very old but I'm not sure how customers with large cars could park comfortably.

We really enjoyed our first stay at the QT Newcastle. Staff were very welcoming. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and we were given a room upgrade.. We also got a lovely surprise to find some balloons and a bottle of prosecco on ice in our room. The decor was lovely and the room was really clean and spacious. We loved the rooftop bar. So beautiful.

Our room had a light under our bathroom cabinet that we could not work out how to turn off. The bathroom is quite open and has 2 sliding doors with frosted panels on them. Even with the doors shut, the light was very bright in our room. I like a nice dark room when I'm sleeping so this was quite annoying.

Well fitted out and stylish hotel with buzzy vibe and good amenities. Very comfortable. Bathroom first class. Enjoyed the rooftop bar and the in house restaurant (Jana). Really good. Hotel is new, clean and well maintained. Staff attentive and energetic. Great location in central Newcastle, close to plenty of good restaurants, bars, cafes etc. Easy walk to the beach and waterfront precinct.

Parking awkward. Room was tight, difficult with two suitcases. Would be fine with overnight bags.

Fantastic staff, excellent amenities and a really nice feel to the whole area. Hard to fault.

The cleaning was a bit hit and miss of the rooms and disappointed with their philosophy that if you don’t book direct you don’t get points, never understood this position and it takes the shine off what was a really nice first experience with QT

I loved EVERYTHING about this hotel. The decor in the room is effing stunning. A very, very sexy space. The bed is super comfy, the shower is divine, products top quality, there's even a dyson hair dryer. Every detail is perfect. I can't fault it at all... and I'm fussy! Love this hotel and would travel to Newcastle just to stay in it again! This is a 5 star hotel without the price tag. Do yourself a favour and stay there.

What a great hotel! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We were very impressed that after flying for 15 hours, we were able to check in early and get some sleep before adventuring out. The rooms had blackout shades which were such a bonus! Very comfortable beds, great breakfasts, perfect location for exploring the city. Staff was so friendly, accommodating, and available. Highly recommend!
