The location of this hotel right on Newcastle Beach would be hard to beat. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to meet our requests. The food in the bar, room service and breakfast buffet was delicious. We stayed for a week and the quality was consistent.

The underneath carpark is a bit challenging with limited manouvering space. But we managed our SUV okay. A useful tip that we learned after arriving is to pull up at the hotel garage intercom and tell them you are checking in and they will let you in. Otherwise, there is no parking available while you checkin. No porte cochere.

The best feature of Noah's is its position overlooking Newcastle Beach, easily reached by light rail from the city centre. You pay more for a balcony with sea view (of course) - but worth it for a special occasion, perhaps. It's a no-frills but comfortable hotel; its in-house restaurant and bar have a lovely outlook and serve great food and cocktails. Room service was good too.

There's not much to dislike. I felt our room rate was slightly expensive, especially at the start of Autumn and limited additional hotel services (e.g. no pool or gym). The beach and sea weren't an option due to the weather.

Is right next to the beach with amazing views. I enjoyed taking my daughter to the beach. Offered tea and coffee with biscuits. My daughter love them. The staff were friendly and helpful. Good service and we had some great meals at the restaurant.There is alot restaurants in the area although the food was great at Noah’s hotel we loved as well the food and beers at The Grain Store Newcastle around the corner.

The cleaning was ok but the mugs and glasses were not changed during the cleaning. Constantly we asked for clean mugs and glasses. Apart from that everything was great.

To be honest the real reason you stay at Noah's is for the ocean view. If you are expecting on-site facilities like a gym or a pool you need to look elsewhere. The rooms are clean and basically furnished, though with not enough power sockets in handy locations. Parking under the hotel is an adventure because the spaces are very very narrow. Mostly we ate out, but on our final morning we ate breakfast at Noah's and it was disappointing. Even with a small discount for being residents it was still about $30 a head. The options weren't very good, the scrambled eggs were dry, I've no idea why the baked beans were called baked beans, and a decaf coffee was extra. Like why? So don't bother. Take the light rail and find somehere else such as the Happy Wombat which was great.

The rooms were amazing super clean the house keeping staff and reception staff and most of the restaurant staff were so friendly and welcoming bar a couple that were quite rude,

We had multiple rooms booked for our wedding guests used the restaurant for 26 people all of which were also staying there dinner was a condensed menu the waitress serving looked like she hated her job and was slamming plates on the table With everyone there and all of us spending as much money as we could in house we asked to hire some space as well for our bridal parties to get ready in and told no very bluntly I guess because we weren’t hold the wedding at the motel maybe I don’t know but was a room free on my floor on the day

The ocean view was delightful. The room was comfortable. The excellent restaurant meant we did not have to go out on an exceptionally hot evening. We loved access to the beach and Newcastle baths plus walks down Bather's Way and to Nobbys headland. Wonderful location.

The hotel is starting to show its age but not to the extent it is a problem. We did find the upwardly curved headboard inconvenient. We both manage to bump our heads sitting up in bed for reading or watching TV. This is not the hotel but note on Wednesdays, Newcastle Baths is closed for cleaning.

We were upgraded. Balcony overlooking the sea Comfortable bed. We were rescued by the staff in the laundry who dried the only pair of long pants I had after a disaster in the previous hotel. They were really lovely. The barmaid was very nice and made us feel welcome (the one with the colourful hair)

There's a window in between the bathroom and bedroom. When I visited the bathroom when my hubby was asleep, the light shone into the bedroom and woke him up. The window makes the bathroom less private and it serves no purpose at all.

The room was great and had an amazing view from the window. The balcony was small with nowhere to sit but it was still nice to be able to open the doors and have fresh air. The staff were very friendly and check in and out were easy. Free parking was a bonus and the location of the hotel opposite Newcastle beach was perfect. It was walking distance to town for food and attractions and perfectly located for the walk to Merewether beach along the memorial walkway.

It thought it was expensive for a single room, but the views were amazing, so I guess that's what you pay for

Normally, I am awake at the crack of dawn, but with the waves crashing on the beach, I found myself sleeping in everyday, hours past my normal wake-up time. The room was nicely furnished, very clean with a modern bathroom. The view of the beach was amazing from the moment I opened the room door. The restaurant and room service were superb. I totally enjoyed my stay and have already booked for next year.

Absolutely nothing! I was 100% happy with the entire stay.

We have stayed here before, so we knew what to expect. We were upgraded to an ocean view room which was very nice. We also ate in the restaurant and really enjoyed that. Central Newcastle is only a short walk away, as is the harbour-side promenade. While the hotel is a little dated, it's very comfortable, in a great spot with tremendous views. Also, the complementary parking under the building is perfect.

Nothing. It was exactly what we were after.
