This was a gem of a property! One of the best I have stayed in. The hosts were lovely and have thought of every detail when making someone's stay comfortable. The bed was comfy, the shower was really great and I appreciated the electric kettle and coffee supplies, including fresh milk in the fridge! The breakfast was amazing with plenty of fresh fruit and a gorgeous crossiant. I felt like a queen staying at this stellar home! The location was also great for walking to the beach, ocean baths and restaurants. I highly recommend!

It was perfection!

This was my second stay here and I would come again and again! The location is great and you can walk to many beaches and restaurants. The room is quite large and the bed is super comfortable. I have now stayed in both of the rooms they offer and I loved each one. The breakfast spread is what I would like to eat everyday! Fresh fruit, yogurt, seeds and nuts, fresh coffee and a crossiant. Just incredible service!

Nothing it was perfect!

Brezza Bella was a beautiful property in the heart of Merewether, Newcastle. It was very close to the beach and The Junction. The accommodation was very well presented on both the outside and the inside. The host, Bob, was very lovely, and breakfast was delicious and fresh. Instructions & directions were very clear, and communication was great. Thank you for making our stay very comfortable.

Entering the Tuscan garden and sumptuous room, I almost expected Fred & Ginger to come out with a dance routine, and they would have had room enough to perform it in the impeccably styled “Palazzo”. You’ll have to pry yourself out of the shower with choice of rainforest and hand-held delivery, with plenty of hot water & pressure. Early risers can stroll down to the beach, joining the locals in swimming, “promenading” (to see and be seen), surfing, or chatting over a coffee. Newport Beach meets Reykjavík: kids ride their bikes w/ their boards and school uniforms in plastic bags, while older folks do their laps in the “baths” and then chat along the beach path the winds along the coast. Every comment about the generosity of the hosts is correct: from watch repair to “must-sees” in Sydney, no request is too outré for these two young (at heart) people: you’ll have to go visit to find out their ages! With so much to do nearby (Hunter Valley wines, historical villages like Morpeth) you may not have much time to sit, but the TV in the room offers multiple sources of programming. This is a favored guest accommodation of surfers and surf enthusiasts: if you want to learn about surfing or surfers, this is a perfect spot. With little shops a short walk away, this is a lovely area to “live like a local.”

These are NOT dislikes, simply observations from an elderly American: you’ll need to do a couple stairs to enter your room. Your hosts believe in healthy living: you’ll get all your carbs & protein, but without meat. If you can’t live a couple days without bacon, this isn’t for you, but with the variety and amount of breakfast offered, as one of my dear German friends says, “who isn’t full is guilty himself” (wer nicht satt ist, ist selber schuld). You’re not in the center of town, which means your GPS is going to work overtime to find the place (use Waze, not Maps), and the social scene is local and authentic, not trendy and loud.

Simple and comfortable experience. Booking and check in process were very straight forward with excellent communication; text message with instructions for arrival was very informative succinct. Warm welcome from the host. The room was large with lovely furniture; huge, comfortable bed with plenty of pillow options, table and chairs, sitting area, brand new private bathroom, mini fridge with milk, tea and coffee, plus a complimentary bottle of wine. Breakfast was a lovely variety including tasty freshly brewed coffee, fresh fruits and yogurt, kindly served at a time that I requested. Both hosts were welcoming and warm. I'd stay again.

Perfect place to stay by Merewether Beach! Clean, convenient, and has everything you need. We especially loved the shower, king bed, and courtyard. It was also such a treat to wake up to the lovely spread of fresh fruit and croissants. Thank you Christine and Bob for your warmth and hospitality!

Perfectly located B&B close to town & the beach. We stayed in the down stairs King suite (Tuscan) which was very clean, spacious, full of light & beautifully decorated. The apartment is very private & separate from the main residence, the lovely garden make it perfect for a quiet relaxing getaway. A delicious breakfast each morning included in season fresh fruits, yoghurt & nuts, croissants with jam, tea, coffee, juice. Christine & Bob were very friendly hosts and most helpful with lots of tips on places to see and eat at night. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Loved everything.

Very clean and comfortable bed The staff were more than helpful, and the breakfast was fantastic. Enjoyed our chats about the local real estate and the where to buy the fresh seafood. So close to beaches. Best location for whatever your needs and will return

We loved everything about staying here! What a hidden treasure Merewether is and this accommodation is walking distance to the beach and places to eat. A bit further to walk to local tourist spots but an easy walk and worth it!! Our room was very clean, comfortable and spacious. Bob and Christine were lovely people and happy to help with anything we needed. Great breakfast and lots of information about local areas to visit. Highly recommended and we hope to be back someday soon!
