Free parking was appreciated and we got the bus into the cbd from around the corner. There is a restaurant next door where you have breakfast and dinner but we catered for ourselves. We booked a family room for just 2 of us so it was quite a good size. It had the amenities you need ( kettle, instant coffee. Tea bags, iron and board) Bed was comfortable enough We had a room away from the car park so was nice and quiet. Netflix using our own account was available which we enjoyed and wifi was fine. Before arriving we requested cereal bowls and plates which were delivered to our room before we got there which was a nice touch. Bar b q facilities were good and pool looked nice and inviting.

A minor thing but coat hangers would have been handy. The main light was too bright but you needed light as the windows were high and small for the size of the room and the bedside lights weren't bright enough but ok for evening. Otherwise all good.

Everything was extremely clean. Booking in was easy, as was checking out. I loved the white sheets and having a side light to read in bed. Also, we could dim the main, overhead lights. There was a modern eco flush for the toilet which was a new and interesting thing. You could wash your hands as the cistern refilled. It was an excellent invention and I hadn't used one before. I give this hotel 5 stars out of 5! Terrific value for money and pleasant service. We ordered breakfast and it was nice and hot, on time and my eggs were perfect. Thank you for our delightful welcome to Newcastle.

There was a microwave but no plates or cutlery. Good for a reheat of pizza.

The room was large and spacious and perfect for our needs and a short walk to shops and eateries, pubs, clubs etc. The bathroom was spotless as was the kitchen and living areas. Check In was easy and the young lady that greeted us was friendly and very helpful. We had an issue with the internet in the room, caused by a service provider issue not the motel, which was resolved promptly and efficiently the following morning by Sophia. We also received a complimentary late check which was greatly appreciated. We would definitely stay in the family room again, and next time bring some family to share with us by utilizing the other bedroom. All in all 10/10.

A great Motel with all the essentials .. such as a comfortable bed & pillows, a big room, good aircon, blockout blinds, good noise reduction between rooms, free off-street & on-site parking, kitchen basics & a mini fridge. There's a small pool & BBQ area that was popular with young families. It's a short drive to the CBD, beaches and shops. There's a Coles Express Service Station next door for late night supplies & a good (authentic) Thai restaurant on the backside of the Motel. A coffee shop, pubs & a few other food outlets are nearby.

The rooms weren't serviced on the Sunday. There are no plates, bowls, or cutlery in the room. You have to request these from the office. But, the office closes early. The parking was not numbered or allocated. None of these minor things was an issue for me.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They even said we could have dried our clothes after arriving in pouring rain. Breakfasts were very good value and flexible. Bed was comfy, and bedroom and shower room were spotless. We had booked a ground floor room but the upstairs one we had was better, as balcony was more private than a terrace. The pool area looked very nice and we could have pool towels on request. There was a bbq available to book too. We were pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed our stay here. The area was residential but there were several eating-out options close by. It was handy for bus routes, but also walking distance to Merewether beach and coast walk. We walked back from Newcastle centre one evening to catch the sunset on the Anzac memorial walk and that was lovely.

When we first arrived we had doubts about our choice as it seemed to be a mainly residential area, with a gas station across the forecourt, but it was quiet inside and there was everything we needed for a 4-night stay. The water-recycling toilet wasn't the best choice for the shower room as you have to flush the toilet to run the tap and that felt like wasting water unless you used the loo. We couldn't figure out how a child would reach it over the toilet. It's a great idea for a cloakroom but not so much in main bathroom. We used the kitchenette sink for teeth and hand/ face washing and that was fine. The free bikes were in a poor state of repair, but they were there and free! Nothing to detract from our stay, just observations.

Great location close to our event, and walking distance to several lovely pubs for meals. Rooms are reasonably quiet and beds comfortable. They were short staffed over the weekend so no room service available but we were warned about this and didn’t really need it.

Not sure about the water saving toilets- although it’s great they are trying to be sustainable. The sink is really too small to use for washing hands anyway. We mostly used the sink in the bench in the room. The room was very small, we weren’t there much so it didn’t matter, but a tad tight for two people.

Loved the heated pool and spa, staff were very friendly and helpful. Thai restaurant next door was great, service station on other side for snacks. Although on a main road, was surprisingly quite quiet. The location was great for our "Brew"castle trip. Amazing value for money - what we saved on staying and parking right in Newcastle more than covered our Ubers. Loved our stay, thank you!

The location is central to everything that my family and I wanted to do in Newcastle. Staff members are always accommodating, polite, and easy to get ahold of in case you need to contact the hotel for whatever reason. They were very amenable, allowing my family and I a later check-in than normal.

The rooms can occasionally be loud during the night with traffic from the highway being so close by; however, this was something I was able to remedy with white noise off Spotify.

Good location for us. Comfortable and clean room with good facilities ( fridge, microwave, tea & coffee making facilites , iron and ironing table, hairdryer ) Really good shower with plenty of hot water. Parking right outside. Able to buy a very good breakfast which was great value and a good choice of food. Staff very helpful.

The bed was super comfortable and showerhead had great pressure and coverage. We loved the 5 star water rated toilet - it was quite novel. All facilities felt modern, the reception area always smelt amazing, and the staff were a pleasure to interact with. We didn't get to experience the pool but can confirm, the spa water was nice and warm. We appreciated the fresh milk provided for tea and coffee over standard long life milk. The included breakfast in the morning was a simple but welcome bonus. I'd eat Turkish bread over regular loaf any day!

Plates, bowls and cutlery not included in the room by default but they were available from reception. The layout of the carpark was slightly awkward - angled parking but only 1 entrance/exit and not a clear turn around zone.
