Lovely renovated motel in a quiet area (no road nose was nice!). EV Charging was great for us as we had driven down from Queensland in our new EV. Big sized rooms for the 3 of us, the bathrooms are small but that's fine, it meant more space in the room! Contactless check in using electronic locks was a breeze, we never met the staff but they were very fast in their responses to texts etc. They had even turned the heater on prior to our arrival so the room was cozy! No food available however there is a fantastic pub walking distance down the road called the Nags Head which we highly recommend for great food. We didn't take any photos of the motel, however the room was exactly the same as what was shown online, so you can trust the photo's here.

Be careful of the stairs, some steps are bigger/higher than others which can be easy to trip over.

Cosmo Motel is in a central location

When booking; we requested a ground floor unit, however we found our unit to be on the first floor level. I’m 80 and my Wife is 76; we did not appreciate dragging our suitcases and other personal items up a fairly steep stair flight. Should this happen again, we will walk away from the Cosmo Motel and also “Booking.com” P.s. the exhaust fan in the bathroom was extremely loud and needs replacement and the shower head has been cross threaded and sends a spray of water up the adjoining wall.

Free upgrade to a larger room, as they had the capaity. We stayed 5 nights which gave us a good discount of the so was amazing value for money. The property location was excellent with great access to Newcastle and surrounding suburbs 10-30 mins away. Bed was pretty comfortable too, and heaps of pillows to choose from. Air conditioning and fan combo works well, and lots of different lighing combinations between everything.

Door to the bathroom didn't latch, which could be an issue for families and groups that use the space. The shower head drips a litte, but otherwise no complaints.

This hotel was a bit of a diamond in the rough. For the low rate that was paid and to drive in to the property you don't have high expectations. However, the room itself was perfectly clean, neat and tidy. The check in process with the code was very simple and preffered during a last minute, quick/ hectic business trip. Comfy beds and basic amenities which was all that was required. Good location situated out of the busy city centre.

The only thing to point out was that there's nothing interesting to view, attractions near by. Small bathroom if you're sharing with collegues/ non- family members.

Room spacious, comfortable, clean with toaster microwave coffee maker and lounge chairs

The man who was aggressive in manner when asking us to move our car and trailer. We parked where cars could comfortably pass and had done during the morning. There was no pleasant greeting just short abrupt and demanding words then he walked off without us being able to reply. Made us feel that we never want to come back. If you are in the hospitality industry you need to treat people with respect and be helpful with their needs.

Main bedroom area was a good size with plenty of room, nice to have a balcony also. Bed was really comfortable all round. Extras like the coffee machine & ironing facilities were all appreciated & used throughout the stay. Partner was working from the room during the day & was impressed with the high speed internet available. Good proximity to the city areas also.

Only slight issue was the bathroom & corner shower arrangement being a bit cramped for myself as I am on the taller side (206cm), but partner found fine to use. Car parking area near laundry room was a bit cramped also unless driving a standard or small sedan.

The rooms were very comfy and clean. Cleaning staff ought to be commended on such a good job. Very quick check in and checkout with the zero contact method they use.

I didn't mind that it was contact free, but when I did need to contact the hotel, prior to travel, the person who answered was quite rude. I almost cancelled my booking because of it. You're in a hospitality industry, be hospitable! Also, patching the holes in the roof where the lights have been changed out would look a whole lot more professional. The room would have got top marks except for that.

Newly refurbished room. Comfortable beds. Coffee pod machine. Very clean. Big room. Had everything you need for a short stay.

Parking very difficult when large car, very tight to get in and out. Not enough car spots for amount of units. Small cars not paking in smaller spots so bigger cars can't fit in remaining spots (not really the hotels fault, just inconsiderate travellers but a note from staff asking if they could park in small car spots would be helpful).

Excellent location, and great value for money. Close to shops and Newcastle Stadium. Facilities were very good, and it even had a coffee pod machine which was a nice surprise. Even though the road was a bit busy during the day, at night It was surprisingly quiet and the bed was very comfortable, so we had a great nights sleep.

Our carpark was partially under the stairs which was inconvenient, and had we been in my husbands car, we would not have been able to park there. But fortunately we were in my car so we managed to squeeze in. So you will need to ask to not be in room 2 if you have a station wagon, a large SUV or a 4WD. The only other negative was that the shower had a curtain and not a door so it sucks in and clings to you when you have a shower.

Loved the decor, the attention to detail in the rooms. The appliances were good quality and the coffee machine was a nice surprise. The beds were made up beautifully with plenty of cushions. A little firm for my liking but they were perfect for the rest of my family. The room was quiet - hardly knew there was anyone else around. We could hear the trains, but they were not disturbing in any way and we slept well. Very close to the shops in Adamstown which was great when we wanted to order dinner, and if we had intentions of going to the stadium, it was only minutes away on a very easy route. It was also within good distance to Charlestown Square where we needed to go after leaving the motel on Sunday morning. Easy to find, and communication with the management was excellent, so we could easily access our room without having to visit reception first. I have definitely got this one on my list for my next stay in Newcastle.

The bathroom was a little dated and the shower pressure was slow. It was very clean, however, and functional. This did not detract from the experience at all.
