Location was good. A bit out of the way from the main part of Cardwell. A bit of a distance if you wanted to walk to find food. We ate at the on site Restaurant which was our main reason for staying. Food was good. Nice for just a night away. Nice view. Room was lovely. Bed was good. An actual King size bed. Not a joined one with that gap or hump in the middle.

Shower screen leaked between the gaps in the glass screen so water on the floor of the bathroom. Strange setup with the coffee / tea being in a cabinet and had to pull out a tray to use them.

The bed was super comfy. The unit was lovely with nice veranda for dining. Good sized bathroom and extra pillows etc. We only had one of the small units but it was delightful. Great lighting but the bedside lamp didn't work.

The shower nozzle needs adjusting somehow so that it doesn't hit the gap in the door and saturate the floor. Sealant needs bleaching. Wifi was a bit unreliable and the public kichen area quite sparse and dark with a strong fishy smell.

The food at the restaurant was amazing I had the calamari entree to die for so fresh And the battered barramundi was great too . A great view across from the beach and overlooking Hitchenbrook. And 10 - 15 min away from the spa rock pool and Atties creek falls . The locals are so friendly and full of stories and laughs Loved our stop over.

Lovely location overlooking the sea. We had a king room, so the bed was very comfortable and the room was large. It was lively to fall asleep to the sounds of sea waves

We were disappointed that the restaurant was not open , as Cardwell does not have s great choice of places you can eat in. And we were looking forward to a nice relaxing meal. Turns out the restaurant is now closed on Mondays

Hotel was a 2 km walk from train station so a bit inconvenient if you don't have a car but walk along the sea front was spectacular and we came to Cardwell to walk on Hinchinbrook Island so no problem. Hotel offered to pick us up from station if needed. Nice room with all usual amenities plus access to laundry in attached caravan park. The on site restaurant is probably the best in Cardwell and excellent value. Best garlic bread I have ever had and their Lamb pizza was brilliant. My partner also raved about the barramundi. Very nice atmosphere with a mix of older grey nomads and families from the caravan park and couples from the hotel/motel. Typical friendly country vibe. Looked after our spare bags whilst walking the Thorsborne Trail

A bit of a walk into town if you don't have a car. During school holidays kids tend to dominate the pool area.

A beautiful location for a restful overnight or stay. Right next to the beach but off the main road. Great views out to sea and to Hinchinbrook Island (sorry no swimming because of crocs). Comfortable unit, worth paying the small extra for the ocean view.

Honestly We love this place, unfortunately this time we got in late and left early but the room was clean cm, the bed was comfortable , the shower was great and the location perfect (well almost, we’d love to swim in the ocean)

That we didn’t have time for the restaurant, or pool this time.

The view was fabulous in the morning. We arrived late and left early. The room was clean and tidy. Well equipped with USB charging ports and good space. The automatic check in was a great idea, although we didn't use it this time

meal wasn't up to scratch, pork was tough as boots - wiater took it back & replaced with a different meal - beautiful barra and prawns, could not fault !

Modern, clean and comfortable.

The air conditioning in the room wasn’t very effective. It kept coming on and off (would be nice if it just gave a steady output) and didn’t make the room cool enough (could have done with it being a degree or two cooler at night). It was positioned so it blew straight onto one of the beds.
