This was our 4th stay at the Elandra. The location is outstanding with superb views of the Coral Sea, Dunk Island and the Family Island from the large swimming pool. The view is quite unique. The tropical breakfast (included) was very good. The food was very good with a good selection of wines. The staff were usually helpful and friendly, but some staff were definitely better than others.
There needs to be attention given to details. Such as cleaning up rubbish left on common areas such as pathways. Our room had overgrown vegetation which we had to navigate to get to the room. Staff did not often approach guests around the pool asking them if they wanted a drink or to clean up the glasses. The owners need to address the issue of visitors to the restaurant taking over and using the pool and lounge chairs which are for guests only. It would be nice to see the owners personalize/acknowledge that the guests visit with welcome letters and a glass of champagne on arrival etc.

The location is spectacular and glad to see that not much has changed. The rooms that have been refurbished are fantastic and I can't wait for them to do the ones on the other side as the view from those rooms is great as you get to see Dunk Is directly from your room. The rooms were clean and tidy and the beds comfortable. The customer service was the best I've had anywhere in a long time! The staff we had for most of the weekend were super friendly, happy and nothing was too much to ask. They really seemed like they wanted to be there not just there for the pay cheque. The drinks are pretty good too. I enjoyed the breakfast and dinner menu though I would have liked to have seen something a littler sweeter on the dessert menu but that's just me. Great place and would go again
While the couch in the room may look nice it really isn't very comfortable or practical to use/sit in. The other thing was the parking. When we came back after being out we were flat out finding a park. I realise they open to the public but it probably would be good to have parking designated for the hotel guests specifically so they aren't missing out for someone not staying there.

The location of the hotel is truly exceptional, offering stunning views that make it the perfect getaway for relaxation. Room was a nice size , comfortable bed.
More attention is needed to maintain cleanliness around the pool area. When we arrived, all the empty pool chairs were cluttered with dirty plates and glasses left behind by previous guests, which detracted from the overall experience. I ended up taking some of the dirty glasses back to the bar myself just to create a clean space for us. It wasn’t until more than an hour later that a staff member came by to tidy up the pool area. Considering the bar/restaurant wasn’t busy at the time, the cleanup could have been managed more promptly.

The Elandra exudes ‘resort’ from the moment you arrive. The resort is situated at a stunning location overlooking Dunk and Bedarra Islands. The rooms are on the smaller side however they are stylish, comfortable and private. We had an ocean view room so the views were spectacular. The property is also located amongst lush rainforest with beautiful walking tracks right at your doorstep. The staff and service at the Elandra are top notch. All of the staff members were friendly and helpful, they went out of their way to make you feel welcome and provided great service. Our room was made up each day promptly whilst we were at breakfast, even on departure day. I can’t speak highly enough of the chef & restaurant staff at The Elandra. The food/menu at the restaurant was so good we ate every meal there, which we wouldn’t normally do. Breakfast was included in our rate with excellent a la carte choices. Breakfast each morning overlooking the islands and pool area sets the day off perfectly Each evening a table was set aside for us at dinner (as a guest) without the need to book. The restaurant also welcomes non guests for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Although it rained for most of our stay we had a fabulous vacation, there is plenty to do in the area. We will be back for a re-do when the sun is shining.

We added this to the end of our holiday. It was on the luxurious end of where we normally would stay, but choices were limited due to school holidays. The rooms are modestly sized for the price but well-appointed. We had a good view. The pool is freeform for casual swimming, not laps. The cooked or cold breakfasts are good but limited. Dinner was very good. We enjoyed using the e-bikes for a day tour up to Mission Beach. A rugged coastal trail walk right from the hotel takes you some distance if you prefer exploring on foot (take water, picnic). The staff are an international bunch, friendly and informal, which suits us. It's a place for a private getaway for a few days or a jumping-off point for other destinations.
It is aimed at the luxury market, which will suit some and not others. The rooms are small for the price, and you are likely to hear the neighbours but the hotel is in an upgrade phase, so perhaps more choices in the future. Dinner offerings outside of the hotel are limited and a distance, so be prepared to eat in or drive and check ahead for availability and closures. There's a pool and a small fitness room, but that's about it for recreation facilities. Unless you hire a car, this place would be difficult to get to/from and around.

Spectacular views of coral sea, Dunk and the family group Islands. Very tropical setting. Pool, restaurant and lounge areas were excellent with lovely casual tropical atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious with a good sized balcony overlooking rainforest, coral sea and islands. I enjoyed the Sunbirds, sea eagles, rainbow bee eaters and Torresian pigeons that were flying around. We really enjoyed our meals at the restaurant.
No cereal/muesli option at breakfast. A more generous supply of tea and coffee would be appreciated. Parking close to rooms is limited, and there was no assistance with carrying luggage to rooms down the steep driveways. Perhaps a dedicated loading parking space near rooms would help at arrival and departure. It was expensive but worth the money for special occasions.

We loved the tranquility and privacy of the property - from our Oceanview room, to the gardens, the pool area, the restaurant and the bar area. All of the staff were fantastic - friendly and helpful. The food was amazing, such a beautiful location to enjoy meals. We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was perfect for us. We will definitely return for anniversaries!
The only thing we didn’t like was that we couldn’t stay longer! We didn’t want to leave!

I love how tucked away this place is. The pool and reception area look beautiful and make you feel a bit posh. The views from the pool deck on a clear day are exceptional. I loved that it was pretty much adult only. I also love that they serve you drinks and bar snacks to the pool lounge chairs.
I did expect a bit more from the room. The decor is beautiful but they're not finished to perfection and are a bit smaller than what I expected. The resort is still being renovated after the damage from the cyclone years ago so I am sure they're just trying to start making some income while the other sections get restored.

There is no denying this property has the best location in Mission Beach. The view was amazing especially in our King Ocean View room. The bathroom was well equipped and the room very quiet, away from the bustling bar area.
While the bar added to the ambience of the venue, it was also open to the public and was Definitely the place to be late of an afternoon. Personal preference as to whether or not guests prefer this but for those seeking somewhere available for guests only, be mindful that the bar is open to all. If you’re wanting a quiet drink with a view, be mindful this may not occur. Otherwise cannot fault anything with our stay.

We loved the room and the view from the balcony. The dining was excellent and the staff were always helpful. Great to see a few board games at the Elandra. Being able to see some indigenous animals and birds to the area was an extra bonus.
Please heat the pool in the June to August period. Rather chilly and prevented us from enjoying your pool.
