Stayed in the studio room with a private balcony overlooking the ocean and Hitchinbrook Island. Watched sunrise and sunset from there and with the view of the islands in the background was a glorious view. Even saw a crocodile swimming in the ocean from the balcony which was amazing! Location was excellent as could easily walk to the jetty (where I saw a sea turtle from), cafes, pub and Sunday markets which were all great. A festival was happening so Cardwell was buzzing with great vibes. The clean pool was great for a quick dip. The laundry downstairs was handy and easy to access. Good to watch TV in bed at night that has access to Netflix and YouTube. Short drive to lookout and the blue Cardwell Spa Pool. The local cat was so friendly and lovely. The Owners were so welcoming and approachable. Will be returning as loved our two night stay!

We really enjoyed our visit to Carwell and were delighted with the Motel which is literally on the beach front with a lovely walk in front of the property. Ask for rooms closer to the beach than the road which is busy. The rooms were clean and comfortable with a little table and chairs on the verandah outside where you could sit and take in the sunset and sea breezes. We thought the trees along the foreshore were magnificent and worth exploring with all the lovely birds. The ocean and the beach with a backdrop on the mountains was beautiful, though not one you swim in.The room was good value we thought and very pleasant.

The room was a lovely, relaxing place to lay my head down in Cardwell. The view from the room overlooks the beach and Hinchinbrook Island, also providing a beautiful ocean soundtrack while sleeping. The pool is a lovely way to refresh after a hot day in the tropics!

Perhaps there could be a little more lighting on the verandah as the rooms can be hard to find at nighttime.

The room was simple but functional and clean. It is so close to the beach that it is practically on the beach. I had the room with the best view. It was possible to see the sea from bed.

Wifi is a non starter. There is wifi but it is not possible to connect for longer than 5 seconds. I used data, it was easier, but very slow due to mobile network. Air conditioner has some issues. According to the owner the pipes freeze often, therefore the AC should be used sparingly.

Location was superb, right on the water. Our room was very spacious, and the beds being separated by a wardrobe/divider added privacy. The room included a kitchenette, a table and stools and a couch, so it was very comfortable. Great bathroom and a table and chairs were provided outside on the verandah. The owners Chris and Kelly are so friendly and helpful.

There was nothing to dislike and my friend and I wished we were staying longer.

Very warm welcome. The couple that runs the motel is very friendly. That was the best motel I have ever stayed in. I was lucky and got the room at the beach side with an extra balcony and stunning ocean view. Very clean and modern furniture. The location is just at the beach.

The location can't be beaten. Right on the beachfront, easy walking distance to restaurants, takeaways, bottle shops. It's an older style motel, with a verandah outside the rooms. Tables and chairs are placed outside each room. The room itself was a generous size, good sized bathroom and shower, and small dining table and chairs available for self catering. We chose to get fish and chips from a fabulous place nearby, and sat at a common area at the front of the complex overlooking the beach. Very pleasant. The owners could not have been more helpful.

Just loved everything about this jewel of a place ; from the warmth of the welcome with a personal introduction to my room, to the sea gently lapping the shore line but a few steps away! Good restaurant for supper a few minutes walk away in one directiion and plenty of options for breakfast in the opposite direction come morning - along an easy path that stretches for about 4 km for those in need of a sea stroll. Can't recommend this lovely little place highy enough and just wish that I had had more time to sit and do nothing but look at and listen tonthe sea.

Great location , good off road parking , nice view , right on walking esplanade & easy walk to town etc Be mindful the hotel is on the main interstate road, so if your hoping for super quiet, then maybe this place is not your ideal choice

While simple, the room was quite comfortable and the location was great being only a 30 second walk to the beach.

Not too much can be improved on. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The fact that there wasn't an obvious wifi connection didn't bother us much as it is a beach holiday motel, we also didn't ask ;).
